I was at Fab Rats today, it looks great with the new driveway. The Rat Shack has moved across the parking lot from where it was against the shop. We need to start a support group to help Grandma get a ride (tricked out golf cart) to go back and forth from the shop to the Rat Shack. We enjoyed talking with Grandma today.
Changed tires for years as a kid. Dots and valve stems was one of the first things I was taught. 50 years later, it surprises me how often I see it not done and the resulting wheel weights. Well done.
LOL... notice the tire installed on the front right that wasn't properly mounted with the valve stem aligned with the sidewall dot after Paul declaring he'd never make that mistake again
Watching Fab Rats from Ireland for a long time, And other American channels. Amazed with the Skills and Talent you Guys have. Puzzled why they send starter motors to China for repair. If the younger generation watch Fab Rats things might change.
I know with all the other awsome builds yall have done that some of yall might think im nuts but thats fine im so stoked for this build!! I have 2 of these trucks both 2005s 1 has a 6.0l and the other a 5.9l cummins and outside of a square body these are my favorite trucks hands down so this build is gonna be epic in my opinion! Whipple!! Straight axle swap!! 37s!! Whats not to love!
I’m excited about this build because I have a 2003 2500 HD, not too many people are building GMT 800 platforms which I don’t understand because they are plentiful and have good bones.
I stopped watching Casey's customs because he always has to much going on at 1 time. I prefer watching 1 or 2 builds at a time from start to finish. Not 17 builds from start to sometimes they get finished.
Well...i like that Cooper jumpstarts a lil more on camera conversation. Idk who the hell he is or how he fits in...but i for one am happy with him as the new lense Jockey.👍
Just start running balancing beads in your tires. People can say what they want but me and my former boss have both had plenty of sets with them they ALWAYS ride like a cloud, and I use my stuff as hard or worse than Paul
Well I think you guys need to fab a head blocker for the end of the lift arms for Paul just about every time he is under the vehicle he hits his head on the lift arms. LOL hope you all have a great Christmas and a Happy new year
I am in Alberta and have a 2002 GMC 2500 my had when he passed It needs a little love. My wife and I decided to give to a person that could give it a second life.
I like this GMC truck and the new exhaust sounds good! This project is going to be sweet as a backup for the tow truck recoveries. Looking forward to the next steps!
Give balancing beads a try. I started using them on my vintage bus as I did not want weights showing. Also love them on my daily that I am a bit rough on. Have not had a tire vibration with beads even with rims loaded with mud.
Fab Rats need to make some 'bump caps' for those 'dings' you get when working under machinery or just sticking your 'bonce' into areas where there are sharp metal edges...My head has enough lumps on it...maybe Paul has a few more...?
Awesome video Paul!!! Oh though I was so excited for today’s video after your last video and mentioning about pulling in Michelle project in very soon!! Lol!! I’m definitely pretty sure you are sick of hearing about when you are going to work on Michelle’s jeepster!!! It will definitely be here soon enough though!!! Awesome video once again buddy!!! Looking forward to seeing what all you end up doing for the jeepster project for sure!!! Remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!!
Paul, the issue you having with the new ( to you ) GMC steering may just be that the fluid is old and burnt, smell it and you will see. The problem I find a lot is that people do not change power steering fluid. It's constantly under high pressure and gets hot. Give it a try.
Yes!!!! I just change the power steering pump on my 05 and the fluid was black! I flushed the system out and added a new psc high flow pump and everything is good!
Paul I am looking forward to when you get the taco truck finished I have missed the Taco truck. The OG FabRats workhorse without a doubt. The taco truck and the FabRats wrecker are my two favorite
Great video!! Love the plans you have for this truck! Dots... valve stems?? I've been around for a long time and never heard of this. Just shows to go ya! LOL!! Sounds great with the new exhaust too! Looking forward to all the new mods you have in mind!!!
Have you got any of that 4” exhaust tube left? You could make cup holders for the free truck. Another great video, you and Cooper create a good show. 😂😂
2-3" into 1-4" actually causes a minor restriction. The magic numbers: 2-3" is 2x3²='18', where 1-4" is 1x4²='16' or an actual flow reduction of '-2'. A 2-3" into 1-4¼"('18.06') would maintain equalibrium. A 2-3" into 1-4½" would give '20¼' which would eliminate the minor restriction with a flow increase of '2¼'.
The free truck truck should have a cupholder that comes out of the center of the dash. People should look at where their tires are made most of them overseas now anyway. But I try to buy tires made in the USA anyway . Right on now my tire choices Mastercraft.
Just FYI, those stickers on the tires will throw your balance off by 1/4oz. Not a big deal on this one, but for future reference. Keep em coming guys. I can't get enough.
My dad & grandad did not have a " tire machine " in our shop. Unless, u c me as the ' machine ' 😂. A l o n g custom made bar and a hi-lift !!!! Some trucks had split rims 😮😢 !! Dad and Grandpa long gone and I'm not far behind, but these days discount tires where my machine is😅 !!
I thought the reason for the 4 post in the new shop was installing exhaust systems so the bender was moved over with it. If recall correctly, only one of several exhaust systems was built in the new shop; the rest were done in old shop, running back & forth to the bender. Why aren't you doing the whole installation in the new shop?
I was at Fab Rats today, it looks great with the new driveway. The Rat Shack has moved across the parking lot from where it was against the shop. you kidding me? paul gotta have 40 rides, between cart, bike, car, truck, tractor
she'll be fine
if anything paul will build her something
I vote for the one merlin's old school garage has / had.

@@OriginalTrev Did he forget on that one? I didn't notice that.
Make sure you don’t run any of that exhaust anywhere around the transmission that’s gonna be coming out three or four times in the next year or so.
😂😂😂 this had me dying!!!
Its a 4l80e it should be good as long as a certain shop didnt touch it.
lol you know
Watching Fab Rats from Ireland for a long time, And other American channels. Amazed with the Skills and Talent you Guys have. Puzzled why they send starter motors to China for repair. If the younger generation watch Fab Rats things might change.
Cooper is falling in to place quite nicely!
Don't forget the optional cracked windshield.

FabRats motto..."we aim for perfect, we're satisfied with close but we run it on that's good enough
His motto should be let's hurry up to make it half way 😂😂😂
I stopped watching Casey's customs because he always has to much going on at 1 time. I prefer watching 1 or 2 builds at a time from start to finish. Not 17 builds from start to sometimes they get finished.
Another great video of course. Had a first while watching. Paul yelled "Alexa pause" and my Alexa responded! She was confused of course.
She?
Well...i like that Cooper jumpstarts a lil more on camera conversation.
Idk who the hell he is or how he fits in...but i for one am happy with him as the new lense Jockey.👍
Piecing all those pipes together must have been .............. exhausing. 😁🤘
Like the sound of the upgraded exhaust!
Just start running balancing beads in your tires. People can say what they want but me and my former boss have both had plenty of sets with them they ALWAYS ride like a cloud, and I use my stuff as hard or worse than Paul
We have to agree that Paul builds the best sounding exhaust systems that are not obnoxiously loud, without making it seem like rocket science ✌️✌️🇰🇪🇰🇪
Bent rim will scrub the opposite tire causing crazy wear pattern. Ask me how I know.
I think those mufflers are supposal quieter if the "point" of the cone is facing towards the back...?
Thank you guys
I used to work in a tire shop. How cool to have your own machine and balancer.
What happened to the monster bus
Yes, where is it ????
@@austinterrill3108 it's at the boneyard. It's going to happen sometime next year. Paul made a video on it when he went through his whole fleet
They scrapped it for the metal :(
@@JosephvonhammerPerkstall-w9n It's in the bone yard.
Probably next to Michelle's Jeepster 😢
Well I think you guys need to fab a head blocker for the end of the lift arms for Paul just about every time he is under the vehicle he hits his head on the lift arms. LOL hope you all have a great Christmas and a Happy new year
I'd just glue pool noodles to the bottoms!😂
Or padded Fab Rats trucker caps ✓
I'd did a bg power steering flush on my chevy 9 years ago for the same problem
I am in Alberta and have a 2002 GMC 2500 my had when he passed

Those tires are “Rolling Big Power”. I have a set on my jeep and love them! They do great offroad in the Arizona desert. Especially for the price
Good job Paul, your amazing at exhaust installation. Thanks for the video 👋
LETS GO FAB RATS!!! my favorite youtube channel!
Fab Rats need to make some 'bump caps' for those 'dings' you get when working under machinery or just sticking your 'bonce' into areas where there are sharp metal edges...My head has enough lumps on it...maybe Paul has a few more...?

Need longer video's... love the content just wish there was more!
Excited for this build! Love these trucks, can’t wait to see how it turns out.
Such a vibe, love the energy in this vid!
7:47 only matters if it have words on the shell. Must read front to back.
Thanks for the video guys
Good job on exhaust system..paul.....great cam work as well!
Got the pickup back on the road again! 😊
You should invest in a mandrel pipe bender Paul much better flow
And not to mention hammering a flat into the 3" diameter pipe

You are suppose to use the red dot to alighn with the valve stem when they have both yellow and red.
Mimosa

If a tire has a yellow and red dot, the red dot takes precedence when balancing!
Cant be one of your trucks, there doesn't seem to be any cracks in the windshield.
Give it time🤣🤣🤣 someone will throw a rock during a burnout...or during a fight and break it. 😂😂😂 boys will be boys
Thanks Paul for scaring the crap out of me when my Alexa answered you
That thing sounds freaking awesome now good job
Good video, this be a cool project, only thing I question is hydraulic steering for road use
Love the video keep up the great work
Easy like Sunday ! Thanks for sharing !
Have you got any of that 4” exhaust tube left? You could make cup holders for the free truck. Another great video, you and Cooper create a good show. 😂😂
It sounds good, I am looking forward to the next upgrade on it.
Good job guys love watching your videos looking forward to seeing more of your videos
lmao hey paul thats wrong side to connect ,.....now your about done....🤭....deer in the headlights ....good fun
Smart! Let all that old air out so they are not so heavy when you take them off the truck! 😂
Oh this will be another fun build to follow. Keep it up boys
No burn out!… gotta burn those stickers off… looking forward to seeing this build.
Nice new exhaust Fab. ! 👍
Good morning everyone 🤙🏻😎
@ianclark-fh8tu Mornin'!
Just love FabRats
Even mounting tires Paul likes to do them twice
Paul try draining some ps fluid out and put some seafoam in before you change the ps pump.

HEY PAUL! ! I ORDERED A SHIRT AND JERKEY. COMING SOON ? ? ? BRING THE ONEX JEEP DOWN. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK- 3 TIMES A WEEK. BRO SAM
Flowmaster 40 series sound awesome installed backwards!
All those bends and hammering back down to 2-1/2 in. haha
Pet peeve of mine .... PLEASE black out the wheel wells on the truck bed .
I always buy my trucks for the cup holders ...

That truck sounds bitchen!! Such talented hands working like that there! It's worth it,it's a Chevy.
We need a Hunter update.
Great job again.
I'm 100% in on this build. Love these trucks. Best part is, it's not a Duramax! :D
Sounds good Guys
Use MURPHY’S TIRE SOAP, save those tire beads, it's the best there is!
You reminded me of johnny cash with one piece at a time
they do have nice tread pattern ,maybe they will kinda work
When you kicked that tire out the, it looked like you were kicking the shop cat out!lol😅😂
Fine tuning the exhaust 12:10
You really should get yourself a bump cap, but maybe without the bill/visor on it.
My dad & grandad did not have a " tire machine " in our shop. Unless, u c me as the ' machine ' 😂.
A l o n g custom made bar and a hi-lift !!!! Some trucks had split rims 😮😢 !!

Build order always depends on funds availability, parts availability, and time.
I truly hope showing cutting and removing catalytic converters doesn't haunt you.
If orientation doesn't matter on that one, then why is it labeled ? (maybe someone thought it does enough to label it. No ?)
If I just tuned in I'd think old Coop owned the place.
I got a 02 chevy with a 6.0 and would love for you to put a custom exhaust on it.
mudder trucker thats the best tire name ever
Put the bent wheel the pr spot
Id like to straight axle both of my 2000s chevys. But i have no idea how or where to start.
Today. LoL , I think Grandma will back me up
Have you ever used balance beads in any of your wheels, if so what did you think?
Paul I need some ideas how to put a four-wheel drive outfit underneath my 2000 S10 Blazer

When you said super charger I immediately thought to myself that gas must be way cheaper in Utah. I'm in California at close to 5 bucks a gallon.
Best cup holders ever made
