As a father of a 1 year old son.. and now having 10 full months sober (1st time in my life and I’m 30) I’ve decided to stay away from music I listened to in active addiction… today I confronted those demons finishing with this song. It’s crazy, I used to cry In the bathroom screaming this song in the shower … today it holds new weight. I love life man & I’m so blessed.. we ALL ARE. Love y’all ❤️

Dave posted this the other day saying he told Shannon he only played at family BBQ’s when asked to play harmonica for them, Shannon said “Dave it’s just one big BBQ” and you have this solo on harmonica because of it. Shannon was amazing. Dave had an amazing solo and the crowd didn’t realize the greatness they were seeing , much like the original Woodstock

My cousin, and brother, passed away from an overdose last year. We used to listen to this band on repeat. I would sing what I could and he would tell me what a good singer I was. He was always concerned with building up the people around him. I wish with every bit of my damaged heart that he could have cared more for himself. Some times the brightest lights.... Thinking of you Jordan.

Shannon makes that vocal range look so incredibly easy. I really dont think he had even begun to realize how much more that voice could do ! Blind Melon will always be relevant even after we have all passed on.
I think shanno was the janis joplin for the 90's. He burned so bright and with white hot talent. He is truly missed and will live on for generations in his music.

Late coming out for the performance as he wouldn’t leave the trailer as his trip wasn’t going as planned and needed the blow to level out… so the story goes. Could very well be the greatest of all Rock bands to assemble and perform in this capacity in the past 30
    Years .
The frontman is likely the most insane charismatic and intellectually high to hit the stage in a very long time .
While different in vocal approach than many historic giants of frontmen the power is immense .
The band and the vocalist are assured legendary status till eternity .

Shannon regularly changed that part of the song the most common was “at the bottom of this beer” (example) -> th-cam.com/video/yokQawncXwg/w-d-xo.html I don’t know the reason for it though sorry

the Letterman performance he says “don’t think I’ll feel colder than I do on here” referencing how cold Letterman kept the Ed Sullivan studio.
(throughout the years guests would occasionally comment how cold it was in there)
