It’s stressful especially when you don’t understand what is happening. It can actually send you into having one. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

I had a panic attack because I thought I was dead and when it got I never had it and I thought I was maybe having a heart attack to or something and I went to my room to lay down and cry because I thought I was dead I really apologize for ever making fun of any illness because I never knew something could be this bad I made fun of all types of illness I'm so sorry for ever doing that it brings a whole new perspective I also used the r word alot because I thought it was cool it's calming down now the adrenaline seemed to last all day from it I would not admit this to the public if I did not feel so bad about saying this stuff and now is a new start.

@@toastednoodles me to man I don't think I made fun of panic attacks it was more about joking about that stuff like dark humor you see on TH-cam I apologise you had them and has to get through it on your own it's scary mine just started settling down and the adrenaline from it would come back when I tried to sleep and I would just be sitting there and my adrenaline would go crazy no one deserves to have this and now I know how to help someone who is though and get them through it i would never sit there and make fun of someone having one I would help them even before I had one but before I just made little jokes about like crossed eyed or something like that and it made me feel worse when it wore off because after the adrenaline wore off I had waves of depression and would cry about it I will be more careful with how I act now I'm 17 and have had it before but never knew I did until now I just thought it was like maybe me being tired but it was not this was the worst I had it

I have a panic disorder. It’s extremely hard when you just need someone to be there for you in the moment, but they have no clue how to handle it. It in turn makes me feel even worse for being like that.

I don’t know if you even still need help with this and I’m not the best at comforting people either, but I want to try to help...
Breathing is really important, not being able to breathe properly can be really scary. If she isn’t breathing slowly you could count for her, use your hands as shown in the video or just say 'in and out'. I can’t tell you if she wants to be touched or not, because for some it would be horrible and increase the panic and for some it can really help. I highly advise you talking to her about this, if you haven’t already, I know it can be scary. You could ask her something like: "I know that you’re having these panic attacks and I’m feeling a bit insecure about how to help you? What do you need?" During a panic attack it can be important to not frighten the person even more. Don’t stand above her and touch her head or something, if she hasn’t told you it’s okay. For me it helps, but for many it doesn’t and can increase panic. If you wanna touch her, stay away from her head and torso if she or a psychologist or someone like that hasn’t told you otherwise. As I said, I can’t really tell you if you should come closely or better stay far away. Tell, her, it’s going to be okay. You are here. She is not alone. And tell her to breathe. She is safe. In and out. If she is able to breathe properly that’s already great.
Those are things I know from experience or that I read, I’m not a psychologist. I hope everything went well! It’s great how you care about her, you seem to really love her.

Someone telling me to calm down makes it worse. God for give me if they tell me to breathe. It freaks me out so bad. I'm like what? Am I not breathing well? They I hyperventilate. Sooo in short you should edit that because I know many people that get freaked about it.
