      hey
      thnx a lot
      i had bought a mousepad for my mac computer from a fraudster shopkeeper,
      but due to lockdown i couldn't give my piece of mind to him
      hence i decided to make it smoother,
      i had recently put sunmica on my desk, and the mouse just wouldn't work on it,
      soi when i found out that the mousepad was as bad it was too late.
      now its working perfectly thnx to ur hack,
      once again thnx a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot.
      i recommedn people to ikeand help his channel grow more
      Once again thankyou

      Yeah, the fibers on a decent mousepad are pretty durable, but the rubber grips at the bottom you gotta be gentle and careful with because they lose their texture and grip.
      Personally, I wouldn't clean the bottom unless the bottom is dirty from spills or dirt under it.

    • @bunso_val
      @bunso_val 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What I did when I washed it was I took a bunch of towels, laid them on the ground, then put my mouse pad over it and just washed it that way. I only did the cleaning process twice and I still have some stains and marks. It may not look like it but the feel of the mousepad is more consistent even where there are stains and stuff. Note I haven’t washed mine for about a whole year and a half, probably more.

  • @stfwn
    @stfwn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    I've got a QcK pad as well and after about 2-3 months of using it, it feels like the surface got super grippy and resistant.
    This has happened to all of my previous cloth pads and it makes aiming so difficult, especially since I play on a very low sensitivity and I make large muscle memory reliant swipes.
    I've tried washing all of my previous cloth pads despite taking great care of them, never spilling anything nor eating on it, cleaning dust daily and wiping my hands and arm if I get sweaty.
    I haven't tried using dish soap so far, only shampoo and even actual soap and the results were pleasing for like the first 2 days, after that the surface kept feeling slow again.
    Someone suggested that it could be my mouse skates flattening down and causing more traction, which is definitely a factor, but I definitely feel a physical difference on the actual pad itself.
    I'll try this method, I really hope it works since I'm tired of getting new pads every 4 months...
    A well made video none the less, keep it up :)

    • @Brofessors
      @Brofessors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate ! I wouldn’t use hand soap, it has all sorts of ingredients which are supposed to take care of your skin and what not these will stay in your pad. Same with shampoo. You should wash with a product which is made to be rinsed off completely when using water.
      Pads collect a lot of dust, try using a lint roller and see if that improves your pad. In this way you might extend the time between washes

      @stfwn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@Brofessors
      Washed it and did everything like it was done in the video and it still feels slow and grippy, same as before 😔

    I am maybe too late to find and discuss this video, but I did the cleaning part with dish soap. I am a bit too impatient to wait for it to dry so I let it dry in the sun for 30 minutes (it's winter so the sun is not that strong - it's about 5-7 degrees Celsius), then I took it out, used a hair dryer at a reasonable distance. Then took it out in the sun again for 10-15 minutes and it's completely dry. Gotta say, there's a big improvement in the sliding of the mouse after I cleaned the feet of the mouse as well, however it's not 100% like the "unused" part of the pad where it's like brand new. If the unused parts of the pad are 100% speed and performance, the "used", already cleaned part where we did this procedure is something like an 80%. You can still feel the difference between them. But the results are still good. What I am thinking is that gamers should take care more often than not of their mouse pads. Wash it at least once a month to keep a consistent performance. Or if you are a rich boy or girl - just buy a new one every six to eight months.

    Will this work with like a bathtub instead to hang it for drying and cleaning because mine is bigger than the one in the video and wouldn't hang over a faucet very well

    I put my zowie gsr in the wash machine on delicate wash cycle with a little dish soap, people kept telling me not too and when I took it out of wash machine and let it air dry it was perfect, no damage. Also I have one of the newer Samsung wash machines if that counts for anything
