Today, I started building my first computer at just before 4p.m. I used almost all the same parts but some were different. It was a bit more difficult than we expected, and we thought we broke both the CPU, and the heatsink, but it was ok. Cable management was tedious, and reading all the manuals and making sure everything worked was also tedious. In the end, we did it all right, and it started first try. Thank you for this video! just built my PC yesterday. Everything started up and has been running great EXCEPT for the fact I can’t power it down or put it to sleep. If I shut down it turns back immediately, if I put it to sleep, it comes back on. Only way to turn it off is to flip the power supply switch on the back. Any help? My case didn’t have a reset PW. HELP!! *update* yes it’s been fixed. It was the front panel connectors, It’s been fixed and I’m loving the PC so far.
that is easy to fix. Check the motherboard manuel, check where the case cords go than make sure they are seated correctly or place correctly that might be the problem. PSA switching your power supply switch on and off can decrease the life span of your Psu

Thanks TechSource, but I'm already a master at building PC's thanks to The Verge. I wish PC's lasted longer tho, it's really a pain having to buy new parts after 2-3 months. They should really figure out a way to increase the longevity of those parts, some of them are expensive. Not to worry tho, I don't mind having to rebuy and rebuild a new computer often, getting to apply thermal paste on anything and everything is quite enjoyable and makes the whole process worth it
I’ve watched so many damn build guides it’s repetitive and i could tell you how to do it step by step, but i am still scared to build my first this next weekend
oh wow it went 100% perfectly. No issues, benchmarked everything and my temps were good. Don’t buy a prebuilt, you can get SO much more for your money when you build your own. It took me about 2 and a half hours (about an hour of it alone was cable management). If i had done it before, it would have taken me maybe an hour bc i was constantly double checking with youtube. Very happy with performance and thermals are okay for my case.
Lobo Hog ok well now im really considering not getting the prebuilt. lol but i still dont know what pieces to get. like ik they r on amazon but im not too familiar with the right parts. thats the only thing i need assistance with.
oh wow I just saw this reply so you may have already taken action. But a lot of them are on amazon yes, you can also look at best buy, newegg, and a microcenter if you have one near you. Look at build guides at different budgets, and make changes if you see fit
Lobo Hog hey bro, well done on ur pc, I also had the same problem where I was too scared to even try to work on my pc, I was just so nervous, took me a whole weekend to finish it. But thanks to god, it booted up fine, ran windows, and I was able to download my drivers. Was not sure tho about extracting files for drivers. I’m not sure if that is unzipping the driver files, but all I did was just download the files and do the setup part up, only extracting files on the chipset drivers. Again well done on the pc.
I have a hard time listening to instructions or somethings I zone out when I'm getting instructions for something. So for me I understood 10% of it. No hate on the video im just stupid

Hey how did it go?
@@Bladebreak3r it was great!
I would not have been able to do it without yours and other's videos. 4 hours later, all the drivers are installed, and I have my very own computer. Thank you!

that is easy to fix.

Not to worry tho, I don't mind having to rebuy and rebuild a new computer often, getting to apply thermal paste on anything and everything is quite enjoyable and makes the whole process worth it

best of luck. lmk how it goes. im too scared to do all this so im just gettin a prebuilt 😂
oh wow it went 100% perfectly.
