Holly, guys. That music just entered deep in my mind while i was distracted doing other stuff. Even forgot that it was playing. That just made me think about how powerfull music is, and how much deep it can affect and get into to us. Even changing drastically our mood, our thoughts and how we feel. I didn't see the movie, but know i'm invested. xD
Discovered Courtney and the band a few days ago and have been binging all the records since. Been so bloody stressed for so long now and this reminded me how much I miss playing the guitar.
Courtney is werry .. `fenderish`to me . I just got my self a used vox ac30 cc2 from England, it is nice thing .. but still, but still Barnette`s fenders tone is enbeded in to to me, . I`m self thought bass hobbyst, but still but still Barnette is houting in to me. ... P.S. to be continued...
@@whonnabeepotzilla6175 Ah I got all caught up in that shit at one point. Tubes and tone capacitors etc. It's all a distraction when you realise you can just lean into whatever sound you have. Don't waste time trying to make a Vox sound like a tweed. I love the style in Courtney's playing, but its hers. Reminds me a bit of Rory Gallagher in how effortless and natural it is. Also, in that it's not needlessly technical, just sounds rad to me. But like Rory Gallagher or Peter Green or Courtney Barnett, just leave them to their thing and enjoy them without trying to impersonate them. I'm 100% going to learn some of her songs though 😂
Very nice, I relisten/rewatch it from time to time. The album and video together are a coherent whole. It really feels kind of the same that when I go for a walk in my habitual green zone, so this video is useful at night to retrieve a bit of that feeling without having to wait the next day to be able to go there.
It is always wise to wear a rain poncho when hiking through hot desert areas. If a storm comes up unexpectedly, the wind will carry you home for free. At some point. I think Courtney loves blue, I do too.💙
It's great that she does not feel obliged to stick to one genre that made her popular and enjoys the freedom to explore the different art forms. This is a very inspiring soundtrack and the filmography is also amazing. She probably was aware the whole time while making this that it won't be a huge commercial success, and that a bunch of her fans probably won't even notice. Do what you love, whether it makes you rich and famous or not. That's the true spirit of indie music.
Hi Courtney! Keep rocking it loud and proud, hope all is going well in your tours overseas can't wait to see you in Aussie best wishes from your pal Geoff 🙂
29:46 I was getting the Better Call Saul intro vibes. Very cool instrumental here. This seems like a worthy sequel to Dark Sides of The Moon. A great antidote to the dizzying pace of the modern world, the 24hr news cycle, the lightning speed of the internet and the harsh brightness of an LED bulb. This album seems more analog, halogen based :)

Thank you for reminding me how precious everything truly is in this cosmos of energy and conciseness.
I must remember what I am here for, love..
I totally wasn't expecting this but it's appreciated. I normally put this on and get in the zone. I love the soundscape.

Wait.. what happened to the original upload? Didn't you upload this about a month ago?
People reupload things all the time these days it’s strange
This new upload looks to have much better quality, the original had bad compression artifacts.
