@@willkimbrell3436 They might just be referring to AI channels using AI art for their videos, as I'm admittedly unaware of any "Ai generated music", not that I'd be happy to be proven wrong xD
@@bickflick No, unfortunatelly there are a lot of dungeon synth channels that use ai generated music. I usually steer clear of channels that post multiple hours of music per month. Some are more obvious and put out a whole album every few days.
As always, the music keeps me coming back for more. Your music has been at the top of my work and writing playlist for months. I really like the blue in this album cover. Reminds me of Elderwood Guardian, the only other album cover to use cool colors instead of warm, if I'm remembering correctly. Looking forward to more of your music!
This is so lovely. Super soothing after a busy, hectic week. My dad has recently been really into gnomes so I just bought the t shirt on bandcamp for him for christmas haha.
Haha maybe sometime. That'd be a 5 hour album 🤣 If I do I'll just release them on TH-cam. I don't want it to seem like I'm taking a second bite of the apple on BandCamp.
It kinda reminds me of the Below's soundtrack, especially the first track, it's a very atmospheric and challenging indie game. So if you liked this music I suggest you to check out game's ost and the game itself, masses have to know about Jim Guthrie's work.
I'm a big fan of your music and I'm glad there are still people out there not plugging everything around with AI work. I was wondering if I could use your music for an art talk video. With all the right links of course. I teach concept art and illustration and wanted to talk in my talk videos about finding your way as an artist among other things.
Tangled chaos of nature. Teeth emerging from the gloom, as great maws inch ever closer. Vines trip up our feet, but we persist, and some of us even inch forward into the black. Old forms die, and we all live in the dreamland. Time hangs, but the children are fat, and wear beards. Raw emotion exhausted has left a long and lingering cold. I feel it. I am drowning, but suddenly there is bedrock underfoot. Ice-cold Fire. I feel it, I fear it. It has the power to liberate or destroy. A path to walk, give me some guidance to follow! Hell yeah and thanks for listening 🍄 I'm assuming the number is a joke but On the off chance that it's not... I have to know your method for quantifying your productivity 🤣
Wait.... AI Generated Dungeon Synth is a thing??? Fuck, I should release an EP because I wrote like 8 songs because I was bored.... Love your stuff Witch Bolt. I listen to it while playing BG3 all the time
@WitchBoltMusic well damn... When one of my favourite Dungeon Synth artists (You, Tales Under the Oak and Ziggurath are my GOATS) tells me directly to release my Dungeon Synth, I do it. Once my logo and cover art is complete, I hope it's okay to DM you the music. I'd never dream of posting it on here out of respect for you! Thank you for the encouragement Witch Bolt!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I haven't done any prints. On my to do list is to get a screen printing setup, at which point I'll do it. There are print on demand services that do it. If you want a hi-res version, for your computer there's one in the Bandcamp album. witchbolt1.bandcamp.com/album/the-peace-of-wild-things-wayseer-arrangement If you do want to get it printed and are interested in the vector file shoot me an email and I'll send it to you witchboltmusic@gmail.com
It truly is. I have no problem with AI. It's wonderful and is going to help so many people. It's a fun novelty with art, you make silly things or silly songs. Maybe some young indie game dev can't afford a custom soundtrack and wasn't going to hire a composer to write music for him to begin with. Someone learning to make art using it for figures and practice. That's fine but people ripping off music from genres that are beloved for DIY ethos is disgusting. It's completely antithetical to the reason the genre began.
WTF?! There are AI generated dungeon synths?! Could anyone list the ones they know? I only want to listen to real, human-made ones, like this one. It's awesome!
Right?! Of all genres to steal from. It's not like there's a ton of money in the genre, and it's one of like 10 music genres that pride itself on its DIY ethos. It's such a bizarre target.
I just kind of messed around hand drawing over a few different blackletter fonts. Sorry... You're prob aware but there's some cool free stuff available on dafont www.dafont.com/mtheme.php?id=4
@@WitchBoltMusic "To go in the dark with a light is to know the light. To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight, and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings, and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings." -Windell Berry, "To Know the Dark" in The Peace of Wild Things.
His work is so evocative but not filled with five dollar words. I love earthy and anatomical imagery and he NAILS that. Ray Bradbury is a big inspiration for me as well.
You'll notice the extreme compression and the genre drift. Pretty rare to hear drums in DS, you'll find that too. And for some reason this reverse cymbal sound. It's a key sign that it's AI
huge kudos for not just spamming AI generated slop like so many other "Dungeon Synth" channels on here, you deserve the interaction and subscription
Yep. I'm so sick of AI Gen music on TH-cam. I was so excited to see new Witch Bolt.
Not AI except for the cover art I guess
@cadetri9716 what makes you think so? i don't see any obvious tells, but i'm no art expert

Thanks for listening! And Thistlebur thanks you 🍄
the description rocks
LORE to come 😜
Down with AI!
Long live the true dungeon synth!
After listening to so many AI's, I was able to find a channel with truly golden content. Thank you for your hard work.
Wow, thank you for listening 🍄
Good stuff as always! I love the art that accompanies your music, by the way!
Feed the algorithm!
same, love it !
I may not always have the time or focus to give these tracks the attention they deserve, but I'll always love them for the ambiance they give.
Thank you for your hard work at materializing something into this world for people to enjoy~♡~♡~
I really appreciate that
After bellow I was waiting for the continuity of this shift in your music. Sorrow, longing, hope, curiosity... all those emotions are there for me.
You can hear the passion put into this! Love it 🔥

Nice! It is now that you mention it
Maaaaan music like this listened on only one earphone during a winter hike. Speaking from experience: you HAVE to try this.
I'll try it!
I absoutley adore listening to your music while working. Thanks for the quality stuff!
Excited to listen through another one!
Finally off work to be able to listen with consideration 🖤

I really like the artwork for your music, they look like vintage magazine prints, and colors are so naturally harmonius 🙏
Красота!
You deserve a sub for just the description alone! Quiet beautiful!
Thanks for listening
Absolutely beautiful. Masterful work!
Thank you so much 😀

Your content is freaking amazing to listen to while writing.
Thanks for letting me be a part of it
gorgeous sound
I love it when the youtube algorithm by some minor miracle actually does its job correctly. ^_^
Gracias por darle a mi existencia música de fondo que inspira calma… 💗✨ This music is a blessing to my soul 💫
Wow what a beautiful comment
Thank you ❤️

Incredible ambience, and I love the bit of lore too. Really appreciate that you're not using AI. Do you do the artwork yourself as well?
I do. I've been making visual art for a while. I primarily use sketchbook and illustrator

I'm planning on releasing Howl for sure.
I wasn't initially planning to, but there's a lot of interest so I might do a cassette
