Can't wait for the new album! I've had it preordered at my local shop for a bit now. Every album has gotten stronger and stronger so far. So happy I got to see her live before the Covid ruined everything. One of my favorite moments in my life was hearing City Looks Pretty while looking at the Chicago skyline on a gorgeous day. She even commented on it mid song.....so perfect!😊 Hope I get the chance to see her again cause the show was amazing!
I woke up today and had the melody of that song on my mind, so I listen to it and rewatched the video. It somehow gives me hope when my community in Tamaki Makaurau and many other parts of the motu are suffering so much after the devasting floods and now cyclone Gabrielle. Many areas in the Waitakere ranges, such as Piha, Titirangi, Karekare and Muriwai have been badly devastated. It is strangely soothing to see its beauty so amazingly captured in this video. Thanks, Courtney and team! Arohanui from Aotearoa
Because I play a ton of nature vids for my cat and dog when I’m gone/sleeping etc, this is perfectly in tune with my current life, as CB always is. Thank you Courtney, Dave and Bones!!!🖤🖤
Things Take Time, Take Time is one of the greatest records I've heard in a very, very long time. I bought it in 24/96 hi rez, and put it on start to finish pretty regularly. HUGE achievement!
Fieldhead. Sounds like a Hammer film that needs to be made. Could have elements of Zardoz, The Wickerman and Midsommar. Not that I've watched Midsommar but all have giant heads/effigies and/or sinister bucolic capers.
"to partake of my wisdom," bestows the great head of the field, "you must listen. Listen high and low, near and far, deep and shallow, but always with an open heart. For though an old saying goes, 'seek and ye shall find,' another saying yet refutes it: 'listen, and ye shall understand.'"
I fell in love of this song and the video is so beautiful, now it is part of my favorite music videos of you! Congratulations Courtney for this amazing work! Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱🌻✨
Courtney I love your songs, I hope one day I will have the opportunity to meet you and tell you how your songs have been present in the last months of the year, they have changed many things in my way of thinking, without realizing it you have made a big change to someone, greetings and successes, a hug and a kiss
A classic avant-garde with surreal visuals like editing style. Kinda gave me Maya Deren filmmaking style. This is definitely a masterpiece music video I've seen. Courtney Barnett music never let the fans down as her music upbrings artistic lyricism and poetry rhyme schemes that has a storytelling behind it. Kudos to Courtney though. I'm glad I found her music.
The shot of the giant head and the yellow flowers reminds me of an old Japanese movie called "The Taste of Tea". I love that movie and I love this video!
“Who knows love? Who knows unconditional love really when there are so many conditions needing met first and during and enduring to facilitate it? Crawl under something until you crawl beside something that doesn’t freak out when it notices you.” ,dan’
She's so retro, she even knows to handle a cassette player correctly! First press pause, then press record and play. Apart from this I really like the music, the voice, the guitar playing, the band playing, the writing...
Courtney giant head reminds me of a Japanese movie called The Taste of Tea n when Courtney is in the forest with headphones on her head, I immediately remember a scene from a movie called Funky Forest.
Just rediscovered you yesterday after a hiatus. In fact... it was a "sad clown" tag on giphy that reminded me of a song. lol. Glad to see you're still doing your thing.
2:47 You can trip on those. Fly Amanita, or Amanita Muscaria. The red mushrooms with white dots you see in every fantasy thing ever. They're not the same as regular magic mushrooms, though. They're poisonous if you eat too much.
I don't want to be reminded of her or to think about her anymore but every time I listen to this song I remember my ex. I told her that I wanted us to stay on speaking terms now and again but she refused and it's killing me
Courtney is always looking for something unique and fresh. She nailed it!
as fresh as cabbage right out of the earth
Yes, different... threw me just a bit. Kind of like upbeat Lana Del Rey, but we cannot compare of course.

Highly underrated artist. Love your work. 💚
This thumbnail is enough, I’m sold
It’s so ominous
I COULD CRY--HOLY SHIT. HA.
Very John Lennon.....
That's what got me here too.
Cracking track.
I love when Courtney gets her Syd Barrett on. Just a lovely little tune.
Good call
Like that Syd Barrett reference - suddenly then saw it in a better right retro perspective
Genuis. Love it. The lp. Can't stop playing it. Thanks 💖✌️👍👌🏴☠️🤟💥✨️

The idea of a giant Courtney head as a landmark isn't a bad idea.
I’m calling it: The Great Courtney.
It'll put the whole of Australia on the map.
AGREED! ^..^

To mark No courtney for old men
She’s so awesome. Love her style lyrics the whole thing. She should be in the top 10

I wish I could make the shows on the west coast U.S.A. Courtney. ❤ Thank you so much for existing. Love you!
This took a few listens to really grow on me. Now it's stuck on me for good. Courtney is unique and talented and entertaining and thought-provoking.

I enjoy her music so much. I hope she enjoys making and playing it as much as I love hearing her. They are a great band.
The band is Courtney with Stella Mozgawa.
Such groovy vibes- your music is the kind of music I will never forget, the singing itself is so unique, it's just so awesome

I've met her before, she's very friendly and sweet!!
@@chrisguastaferro6147 What good luck you have had, greetings friend and success
Aww, you're so sweet! Music, in general, is what keeps me going. I could never imagine my life without it!
@@christy7698 agreed, music in general keeps me going, too, but there's something about CB's music that really resonates with me, and clearly others.
I hear you. CB's music is transformative.

The shot of the giant head and the yellow flowers reminds me of an old Japanese movie called "The Taste of Tea". I love that movie and I love this video!
Hehe i was about to post this reference from The taste of tea!! Glad someone else noticed it too 🙂
Love the song, and the video. That's how I am sometimes with the flowers, trees. Loved the video. 🌻🙏🇲🇽👏 Blessings & greetings from Mexico.
you have the uniqueness of Bob Dylan but with a better voice! love your music! im 78 and feel young again! thank you!
Always bringing the positive energy that i need
Courtney is amazing. Her music vaguely reminds me of Eliza Gilkyson, another alt/folk artist.
You can definitely "hear" Bob Dylan in her music.
100 percent.
Courtney has done it again. Just brilliant.
