    Just add a B_WeaponSpawner to your level and the AI-freezing stops, this also works in the Open world.

    The bot freeze issue I believe is related to bots running out of ammo and not knowing what to do next if there is no weapon spawner in range. Hope it helps, thanks for the tips!

    Hello I really appreciate your tutorials but this one is not valuable, you can't call this a map !!! and it's more about building few things with Lyra assets than adding custom elements from outside of Lyra to build a custom map. Good job on your tutorial but not this one.

    There is a problem....every time the game finishes, I have to manually quit the map...can somebody assist me? that after losing or winning the game, all players quits the map automatically...

    Make a new game mode, for example, let everyone be alone and with bots, and last 5 hours. If it's 5 hours, the game is over.     You are saving things in the ShooterCore plugin, wouldn't it be better to create new plugins for each new "component" we make? such as levels, mechanics etc?

    How do you see the AI tree? The move goal is invalid and that is when the Bots freeze.

    The bots are out of Ammo. Or in my case they were, once I added a weapon pickup and ammo pick up I no longer had any bot freezing. Debugging the BP just shows it stuck on out of ammo loop cycle. Even on respawn they were still stuck on empty for a bit. Since there is no retreat or cover locations when they are out of ammo.

    yeah the glitch where the AI dont move is because the AI chose to try to pick up a weapon but there was no weapon to pick up. I placed down 3 weapons and out of 10 tries I was unable to replicate the glitch anymore. So the fix is placing down weapons

    all my settings are correct my map loads by default, but when I quit game, go to main menu then try to go back to my map it loads my players but the wrong map, and the settings are definitely on my correct map. any ideas?

    So if I wanted to create a spaceship with this tool, I could create the level design of the ship from the inside out, include how it functions make the ship bigger as if it's meant for a much larger crew, create several subsections meaning I would need an elevator to get to different levels, give that ship some automated protocols to function a certain way, put it within a space like format and set up scripts for certain things to happen while the crew is in the ship, say an example is a procedurally generated attack will happen outside the ship, causing the crew to go to battle stations or something like that, so that they can defend the ship, and have the ship jump into FTL to escape the attack.
    I don't know this is all at the top of my head here, is this stuff even possible what I'm talking about?

    I still get AI freezing when I duplicate the firing range map, anyone else getting freezing? Great tutorial tho, exactly what I needed to get used to lyra!

      Interesting, once I got some more Lyra game components setup it stopped freezing in the duplicated firing range map.

      So I find that when I put a map in that same directory as the Firing Range I get the freezing just like in the video even after adding all the spawn points people are mentioning. I'm going to trash it and add a new one to the other directory that he adds his second map to and see if that works. I have a feeling that is the issue.

    Everything works fine in the first round. But when the second round starts, the bots can't see the meshes I added, and get stuck on them. They still shoot if I come near. Please help.

    Thanks for showing how to do this very well explained. I located part of the reason for the spawn freeze. I believe the Navmeshboundvolume must be slightly lower than ground level for players to activate. After time through will freeze again as code searches for missing items. Added B_WeaponSpawner as mentioned previously but a console message wants me to keep adding extra things eventaully will freeze. My guess is Blue print/ is code designed for original layout /items, I maybe wrong though. One solution I found; I duplicated the original L_ShooterGym map instead rename and have build from there to make sure there is no freeze. This works I then added new layout and character etc.

    On unreactive bots. I think they need to be on a platform/mesh smaller than the meshboundsvolume.
    The samples use them and the tests ive done doing the same don't seem to experience it.

      @@TheosResearchDiary yes, it's actually much simpler than I thought. You can just tick the check box in your LyraUserFacingExperienceDefinition Data Asset in the Playlists folder that says "Show in Front End"

    It doesn't allow me to place any mesh, from the content browser, into the map I created. I'm using the same path you chose in the video... and I find no way to fix it up.

      yep thats why you want to create the map and save it to the plugins folder. otherwise you wont be able to drag content into it

      @@SmartPoly I did save it there before doing anything on it. I saved it in the "ShooterCore Content" Maps folder by the way, maybe I should have saved it in ShooterMap Content Maps folders instead? I'll try that way... this video of your is really helpful by the way, I was trying hard to get into the Lyra Project to learn all I need for the game I'm developing myself and it was driving me insane.
      I have a big issue only, so far, with UE5 which I keep looking for good tutorials for... it's about Full Body IK retargeting considering the massive variety of characters I have to create for the game. One tendency in tutorials is their giving too much for granted, in terms of troubleshooting for example... in Full Body IK and retargeting they completely ignore some scenarios like missing bones {in a character of mine there's no waist bone and some twist bones are also missing. The tutorials I've seen so far are weak, from that point of view.
      Also, another couple of issues I couldn't fix are... the migration of the procedural building tools to another project {I did try, to make some experiment there, but it ends up broken} and also an issue when adding a vehicle... it gives me some blueprint error which I guess it wasn't supposed to be there.
      I'm definitely looking forwards to see the tutorials you're gonna make, those I've seen so far have been all helpful indeed!.

      Update: I found something else really annoying which is about the teleporter... I mean... why can't we change the color of the FX without altering the Niagara code!? I was playing with them and I was willing to create a main teleporter where every teleporter can lead to, a sorta Base Camp where there are teleporters to the different locations and changing their color could help to make them recognizable per type {Main teleporter, Secondary teleporters}.

      I get the same thing when I try to add meshes to the map if I drop it in the same directory as the Firing Range, so I think that is the issue. You'll notice in the video the first map is stored in one directory and only 2 or 3 meshes can actually be dropped in (you get the error when you try to add anything else), the second map in the video, the one with all the functionality is in the other directory that has access to all the meshes. So just move your map to the other "Maps" directory in the plugins section.

    The first 3 mins were not necessary. Why I had to open up a map to see the AI not working was a waste of time. but alright..
    Followed along still but at 8:01 my duplicated map didn't show anything but a black and empty landscape...
