Same concept, but I use a sheet of construction paper held down to the honeycomb with little magnets. Then I just throw it away and use a new sheet next time.
I agree..keep it up, love your calming tone, doesnt make me so nervous..lol...step by step projects, in my opinion, is the best way to learn, waiting for your next video!!
Us3d a 300x300mm basswood Cut out the shapes and Setup a Jig.. It's easy to Jig any reproduced product. Save the file with tool layers Then align once when starting and produce alm day and never need to re adjust..
Thanks watched all 3 videos I liked them all keep it up… I’m waiting on my laser to be delivered so watching these really helps because I’m not even a beginner 😂
Hey, hi, I do like your videos. I have a question: What settings do you use to cut through wood because I'm having trouble? I'm going through like 11 passes.. I have a text to d121 laser, or maybe you have a video to explain the settings if you don't mind helping me
Go to window at top line of light burn. Check box by laser to open laser menu. Click stop. Try to push home & see if it goes back to home. Hope this helps
How do you actually align the laser in the centre of the design, on the square? You have positioned the square on the right on your table, but in Lightburn the design is on the left?
@@Laser.101 I cut on inches not mm so the number different . I did play with it for several hours and was able to kind figure out a sweet spot for numbers and materials .
I do absolute coordinates and then home the laser to the bottom left corner. I may do a video on that, it seems some people struggle with laser location
Thanks, will definitely remember this for next time!

You have a new subscriber! I love how your videos are short and to the point, other videos I see are 30-40 minutes with unnecessary filler.

So when buying a piece of wood, just measure it and add the dimensions to the software to make sure the image fits ?
Pretty much!
My laser always says it's busy in lighburn however it works perfectly with the grill software. Plus help I'm new n I have no idea what to do.

You have to set the home position on the laser, I was thinking about doing a video on that
My longer won’t cut through at all even with 5 passes at 100 power. Speeds at 11.4 what’s wrong? Longer ray5 10watt also
I set my speed to 300mm per minute for cutting. When you say 11.4 is that mm per second?

Ditto same files used with Christmas tree NOT from this video.
Can you try it now and let me know? Should be updated
Currious.......where did you set your laser to start from ..........? current position
