Thanks for this guide! Also worked for our MSI Bravo 15 MS-16WK A4DDR-247US. For those wondering, the connector pulls out from the receptacle on the screen along the same parallel plane as the screen itself. Better to avoid letting the sticker pull up on the connector while you free it if you can.
I cracked the screen on my MSI Sword 15.6 a few days ago and i'm from a small town so the repair shop doesn't know much about it-yet they tried to charge me $350. Then i found this video🙌🏽
Thanks. It costs like 3 times more than the screen price in my country to get it repaired at a shop. I guess im gonna do it myself . It looks very doable. I just need some extra care and courage. Yes, i have that same one, you need the 144hz 40 pin, not 30 pin. Ebay has them for 90$. Goood luck amigó, aloha from Hawaii. Ps-do not get the 30pin, get 40 pin.

Same, but with one with just better color accuracy and brightness. The stock one is really bad, but i’m afraid i might break something if if try doing it alone.
Yeah, MSI can go F themselves with their way of installing the screen. There are many instances where one of the hinges breaks of from the screen lid and you need to replace the lid. In that scenario you have to take care NOT to crack the screen. They way MSI installs their screens makes it really hard to do. Why not have the standard little tabs on the bottom or top of the screen that you can pull and remove the adhesive tapes ? It's on purpose to force ppl to buy the whole screen assembly from MSI or to send the laptop for repair to MSI. Do not support companies who treat you this way, buy from someone else, there's plenty of options out there.

Tip for next time: warm up the bezel with a hairblower, the glue comes off much easier.
That's a good tip.
hi, how long we should blow the bezel

hi, if i use a heat gun/hair dryer to warm that tape, it will work easier ?
I believe so bro. But dont keep the gun on it for to long, step away, blow, step away, blow etc, until you feel it coming off.
