ive discovered that many people who havent played rdr1 found the epilogue to be pointless and boring, which makes perfect sense. These players havent witnessed John's story ark in rdr1, so they have no reason to be playing as him. But for the rest of us who played rdr1 and loved it, this epilogue contained arguably some of the best moments in the game.
I do understand & appreciate what you said, but being one of those people who didn't play RDR1 my time spent in this game made the Epilogue feel completely justified...necessary & not at all boring. As much as I missed Arthur, the truth is I was very grateful to be able to see things come full circle, as well as being given the chance to discover what had happed to some of the old gang members. There's more, but I don't want to add spoilers!

I don't understand how it's pointless at all. It's showing what arthur was trying to give john and how a normal life would be hard for an ex gang member at that time period. The rdr1 fan service stuff is just a bonus for people who played rdr1.

I think Abigail is just terrified of losing John. He's probably gone missing or been in too many near death experiences more times than she can count.
Yep and there is no one to save him anymore. Arthur, Hosea, Javier are usually the ones always saving him.
Dialogue from a future mission, so potential spoiler. But Abigail says to him;
"How many times do I gotta bury you, John?"
And left them alone for an entire year.
Yea and as the player we understand John's POV but all Abigail sees is him getting into these fights andto her, it probably always feels like he's just one or two steps away from ending up like the majority of the gang.

I still wonder why Ross was taking John off a boat to Blackwater at the start of Red Dead Redemption. Somehow Jack and Abigail were captured while John was up to something else.

From the moment Arthur saves John and gave him and his family a second chance, it's better for me. It gave him the opportunity to be the John Marston of the RDR. It's my opinion.

That’s an assumption not a fact. Nowhere in the lore does it say what his daughters name was.
That's really sad considering my Rachel died before I even met up with Sadie 😬 | although I did find a horse right after named Morgan (probably just the breed of horse but whatever) so it wasn't all too bad I guess

I like that Rockstar didn't just throw in more needless plot contrivances and villainous characters. Like during this epilogue I was just waiting for the moment Geddes, Pickens and then the bank guy end up throwing John under the bus and screwing him over but they just... didn't? And were genuinely just good and helpful to John, which was nice and something I didn't really expect.

Yes. There is the "Paying Respects" trophy that you can earn by finding and inspecting the 9 graves of your fallen comrades.

If you are wondering why Abigail is being so hard on john this isn't a spoiler I promise but its because she doesn't want him to die or anyone else in the family close to them to die. She has been like this since the beginning when John was missing in the mountains.

it sucks but abigal is right to feel that way and not want that life especially with a child
not to mention all arthur sacrificed and his one wish for them to be the family he couldn't have because of this life

Abigail's reaction's are justified because she saw the life of violence in the gang only hurt them(her son was kidnapped),so she's afraid everytime John goes into a gunfight because he might die.
Agreed, plus every time John kills someone or ends up in some sort of disagreement, it usually means the family have to uproot themselves and move again. Abigail's only thinking about her family's safety after everything it took & the sacrifices that were made to get them to this point and I wish more people would understand that instead of calling her a nagging woman etc. (On the other hand though I understand John's frustration at her getting at him for protecting his employers & co-workers.)

Love how they added the music in from the first game. Definitely gives you that nostalgia feeling. Sounds sooo amazing. It has a different tone to the sounds, but it's the same exact music from the first game.
The music in the gunfight was also a remaster of a track from the first game. It plays during the thing at Pike's Basin with the Marshall and the raft ride with Irish.
Actually, most of the music in the epilogue is remastered tracks from the first game.

I mean John at one point did reject his wife and kid. Literally treated them like baggage.
So, I think we lose perspective especially when we control one character over another.
Later on, John looked out for his child and wife, though. He would carry out jobs for the government, kill outlaws, save Uncle, and inevitably start a family...(just like Arthur wanted him to -- the part with the family).
Maybe That was John's redemption?
Kratos getting blades of chaos and joh wearing the rdr outfit for the first time in rdr2 were one of the best moments in video game history

The way she plays the game can be beyond frustrating to watch sometimes, especially considering how far into the game she is. Also way to upset the white knights hahaha they're all over this chicks videos, pathetic bunch. I watch marz because she plays a lot of my favorite games, these guys all watch her so they can leave comments in hopes that she will see it.
Suggestion. Play one game at a time so you don’t mix up the controls.

Hi marz, I have enjoyed your series of rdr2. I was wondering if off camera that you read more of Arthur's journal, and what do you make of the fact that he used to have a wife and son. Keep up the videos, truly enjoy your content.
Now that u are caught up i can leave some tips that u might actully see. Just in time for the end lol. Food items/provisions in your wheel restore different things. You have your core and the circles around the cores...the canned food etc. is for your cores and the moonshine/cocaine gum/chewing tobacco etc. Is for the circles around your cores... Having a low core effects how fast the circles around them will refill on their own. I noticed throughout your playthrough that you really didnt know what to use or when. It made for some funny moments tho. Just a helpfull little tip if you do continue to play the game to the end.
you should also look at arthur's journal that john has, he writes in it too, and his drawings compared to arthur's....are kind of funny

Marzzy I will say this on behalf of everyone, you should complete rdr2 first then do other games. I know you're going crazy with re2 and it's fun to see you screaming on all the jumpscares and all, but you should definitely finish rdr2 first 😊😊

I understand Abigails position. It's easy to find her unreasonable but after 8 years of being on the run since Arthur died. It's jumping from one location to another never staying in a place for too long. Because while it's noble that john wants to play hero it shows that those decisions always have consequences. And the bad guys will always want revenge which puts his family in the crosshairs. So after 8 years this is something that someone would get sick of and wouldn't want to be reasonable either. I love john he's trying but he should put family above playing hero.

When you skip the songs, you might save yourself from a claim (or not) but you cut out your reaction to the best parts of the game, and some people, like myself, specifically look through a video to find those parts.

That build-up to John's theme was what the game was doing the entire time, but in a subtle way. When certain tracks played they would just a little bit of John's theme kinda hidden in them so you don't immediately recognize them until the game finally starts playing his theme the first time when you go after those outlaws. I think the devs did this to sort of tease the fact that we'd play as John in the end without giving anything away. They did such a good job here.

If you like a good story and interesting gameplay you should give a chance to "Disohnored". Do a gameplay of the first one to see if you like. I think it makes your style. The caracthers and the story telling are so great and well made.

The gameplay of such game is beyond awesome for me. Do watch your gameplay to recap story that I miss because of how engaging the gameplay is for me.

Does anyone else think it would be cool if John’s hat originally belonged to Arthur, and then in the last mission of chapter 6, Arthur gives johns classic hat (which would be Arthur’s hat) to John, and that’s why that is johns default hat
