I didn't know either. I was left without my horse but it was cool because thats how i found out you can ask random travelers for rides. I got a stagecoach to take me back to town

Little tip. All Rockstar games are known for auto aim because their gunplay mechanics aren't very good. You must have forgot but at start of game it taught you to use auto aim to snap to target and then press up a little for head shots. Not using auto aim will make the game unpleasant in many parts. It was designed around it unlike any other game.
As an aside, I challenge anyone to do one of the many horseback battles while moving and steering, without auto aim. It's like trying to thread a needle with silly string.

Marz some advice if someone sees you commit a crime and that red eye pops up on the map, dont run away from them but threaten them. Even if you wear a mask they can report you. So just stop them from doing so. I mostly lasso them, and leave them tied up but thats just me lol.

When you get a chance to just explore you should definitely work on improving your honor. The mission that you did with Micah hurts your honor since you're having to wipe out a town. There are a lot of benefits to having good positive honor. Like you'll start getting a certain percent off at stores. Level 5 positive honor will give you a 25% discount on all stores you shop at. Aside from just doing good deeds like helping people along the way (like you did with the prisoners and the guy on his way to Strawberry), paying off your bounties also results in a positive bump in your honor. They're usually cheap, so they won't break the bank when you need to pay them off. Just go to a Post Office to pay it off. Also doing chores around your camp like chopping wood and moving hay stacks will also bump your positive honor.
Dont forget that you get higher rewards than promised for bounties too when you got high honor :> and people greet you and talk to you friendly everywhere
