An Socach : A Captivating Blue Sky Climb

An Socach in the Cairngorms, what can we say! Our second attempt on this big lump of magic, the first one thwarted by snow, ice bullets of hail stabbing our face and hardly any visibility. We turned back disappointed but safe with the intention of a return soon.
Glenshee has been remarkable for our do overs with initial attempts on the Glenshee four also put on a hold and then stunning weather on the return. And now An Socach with the sun shining to welcome us to a return trip.
The scenery all around on a clear day from An Socach is simply stunning giving us the ability to see clearly, nine of our previous summits. We cycled the track in but having walked it previously we can confirm that it is not a massive undertaking so don't be put off. This mountain will leave you feeling nothing but joy, you deserve each other, get those boots on and get on it!
