Hey Bryan, Thank you for your comment and kind words🙏 The pack is a F-Stop Tilopa 50L back pack. It’s designed for photography as it has a opening at the back to enable easy access to your camera and lenses. I only use it for day hikes as there is not a lot of room for overnight gear. Thanks for watching the video, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Hope you have a great summer. Happy hiking🙂 Mike
Haha my sister said the same thing to me about one of my other videos😂 Well what can I say... I do like to take em on my walk🤷♂️🙂 Thank you so very much for watching my video and I’m so happy you liked it. Also thank you for taking the time to drop me a comment❤️Hope your both doing well and your looking after yourselves🙂
Hey thank you for taking the time to give the video a watch, it’s very much appreciated🙏 The hike should take around 3 to 5 hours to complete depending on how long you stop to admire the views along the way. I wouldn’t rush it as it’s a wonderful route and the faster you go the less you see. Hope you have great weather, a safe hike and you enjoy every moment. All the best Mike
Great video Mike. We met back in September as we were descending from Haystacks and you were on you're way up to the Bothy. You advised getting the Mavic Air 2 and having seen these shots, I think you could be on to something. Brilliant photography, really capturing the feel of the mountains and the space, which is never easy to do.
Hey Steve.!! Yes I remember we had a great chataroo about drones and TH-cam😃 Thank you so much for giving my video a watch and your kind words❤️ Yes I would definitely recommend the Dji Mavic Air 2. It’s a fantastic drone and it’s not so heavy that you can’t carry up into the fells. For a drone to use in the hills and put in your pack you really have just two options.... The Mavic Air 2 or the Mavic Mini. The Mavic Mini is half the size of the Air 2 but it’s as light as a feather, which is good but makes it really susceptible to the wind and can get lost to it very easy in anything above 10 mph. There is a new Mavic Mini coming out on the 5th of November with better range and 4K video. But again it’s absolutely pants in anything above 10mph. For an extra few hundred it’s a far far better option to go for the Mavic Air 2. Fantastic range, 4k video, good battery life and can handle a lot stronger winds than the Mini. Get the fly more combo. It’s worth it as you get a couple of extra batteries and spare props. The Mavic Mini 2 released on November the 5th will be a great drone but you are limited to flying it on nil/very light wind days or it could get very expensive😬🙈😩 Hope this helps you decide🙂 Let me know what you go for when you do pull the trigger🙂 Hope see you again up on the fells after lockdown. Stay safe and healthy Mike
Cheers Mike, I'll probably be holding off any drone purchases until the lockdown is lifted, not sure anyone will want to see my back garden no matter which drone I go for. 🙂 Until then, I'll put your videos on loop to get my fill of the great outdoors.
@Steve Bracher Haha yea it’s probably a good idea you do that. Unfortunately I think we might not be getting out anywhere again this year😕 My next video may be from the inside of my tent pitched in the middle of my garden though😩🙈
Thanks Dianna🙏 Haha yea it’s a big old backpack😃 It’s a special one for camera equipment. It has a lot of foam padding inside to help protect the equipment. That’s why it looks so big🙂 Thank you for giving the video a watch. I’m glad you enjoyed it🙂 Happy hiking Mike
Awww thank you🙏 I’m glad you enjoyed it. Haha yea they are quite rare nowadays. That one I found hiding right at the back of my chocolate drawer. If you keep your eyes open you can still find em dotted around in the shops. Thanks again for taking the time out to give my video a watcharoo, it’s so very much appreciated🙂 Happy hiking Mike
A question, I would not say that I am fit, do you think a slow stroll with stops along the way is possible. How long does the climb take in total. Thanks Kim.
Hi Kim, Yes I’m sure you would be fine on this route. Plenty of places along the route to stop and rest and fill up water container if you use a water filter so I don’t see you having too much of a problem with it. Lovely route with wonderful views along the way. It’s a very popular route so try if you can to do it during the week or out of school holidays season. Allow for around 4 hours in good weather. Hope this helps. Happy hiking and thanks for watching the video🙏 Mike.
Hi, The map I used for this walk is the Ordance Survey OL 4 map of the English Lakes (North-Western Area) Hope this helps you find the right one🙂 Thanks for watching the video🙂 All the best Mike

The pack is a F-Stop Tilopa 50L back pack. It’s designed for photography as it has a opening at the back to enable easy access to your camera and lenses. I only use it for day hikes as there is not a lot of room for overnight gear.
Thanks for watching the video, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Hope you have a great summer.
Happy hiking🙂
Mike
Thanks Mike for another great video. We loved the excellent drone footage as usual. Have you got shares in Snickers?!
This is very helpful as I plan my own trip. How long did this hike take you?
Hey thank you for taking the time to give the video a watch, it’s very much appreciated🙏 The hike should take around 3 to 5 hours to complete depending on how long you stop to admire the views along the way. I wouldn’t rush it as it’s a wonderful route and the faster you go the less you see. Hope you have great weather, a safe hike and you enjoy every moment.
All the best
Mike
Thank you very much. I look forward to it!@@FurrychalkbagOutdoors
The Mavic Mini 2 released on November the 5th will be a great drone but you are limited to flying it on nil/very light wind days or it could get very expensive😬🙈😩
Hope this helps you decide🙂
Let me know what you go for when you do pull the trigger🙂
Hope see you again up on the fells after lockdown.
Stay safe and healthy
Mike
Cheers Mike, I'll probably be holding off any drone purchases until the lockdown is lifted, not sure anyone will want to see my back garden no matter which drone I go for. 🙂
Until then, I'll put your videos on loop to get my fill of the great outdoors.
@Steve Bracher Haha yea it’s probably a good idea you do that. Unfortunately I think we might not be getting out anywhere again this year😕 My next video may be from the inside of my tent pitched in the middle of my garden though😩🙈
OMG HOW AMAZING. But what did you have in that huge backpak? Love the accent
Thanks Dianna🙏 Haha yea it’s a big old backpack😃 It’s a special one for camera equipment. It has a lot of foam padding inside to help protect the equipment. That’s why it looks so big🙂 Thank you for giving the video a watch. I’m glad you enjoyed it🙂
Happy hiking
Mike
Beautiful video. Where did you get a Marathon bar from?🤔 Ive only seen Snickers for years now
Awww thank you🙏 I’m glad you enjoyed it. Haha yea they are quite rare nowadays. That one I found hiding right at the back of my chocolate drawer. If you keep your eyes open you can still find em dotted around in the shops. Thanks again for taking the time out to give my video a watcharoo, it’s so very much appreciated🙂
Happy hiking
Mike
A question, I would not say that I am fit, do you think a slow stroll with stops along the way is possible. How long does the climb take in total. Thanks Kim.
Hi Kim,
Yes I’m sure you would be fine on this route.
Happy hiking and thanks for watching the video🙏
Mike.
Many thanks for your reply. I will definitely be doing it now and also be going on a week day, probably in September. Thanks Kim.
@@TheKimgower You’re welcome. You will have a fantastic time.!! Enjoy🙂
Hi, may i ask what type of map or what is that kind of map called? Im trying to find the map you use to walk around the fells, thanks 😊
Hi, The map I used for this walk is the Ordance Survey OL 4 map of the English Lakes (North-Western Area) Hope this helps you find the right one🙂
Thanks for watching the video🙂

@@FurrychalkbagOutdoors it’s the thick waste belt I’m after.
@@Adywebb123 Hi El, I only had my F-Stop back pack with me in this video. The pack comes with a waste belt to help support the weight of the pack on your hips like other normal hiking packs.
Great hope to do it in July 2020
Hey Mark, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. You will have a fantastic time as it’s a wonderful route. Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and for dropping me a comment🙏

Was this on the 30th October? I was in the lakes in that day, the weather was incredible
Hi Sam, I’m not to sure. I would have to check the video files metadata but it was shot around that time. Think we had a few days of excellent weather if I remember right. Absolutely perfect walking weather. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Hope you had a wonderful time up in the lakes. I’m so looking forward to getting back up there again soon🙏 Thanks for giving my video a watch. Hope you enjoyed it. Keep safe🙂
Soo quiet
Very quiet
Yes Marium, It’s a very peaceful place to sit for a while🙂 Thank you for giving the video a watch. It’s very much appreciated🙏
