Alma Deutscher, conductor and piano
Konzerthaus, Vienna, September 2023
This is a concertante version of the original piano piece from 2020.
With special thanks to Madeleine Hetherton-Miau and MediaStockade for the filming.
We are so lucky to be living in a time where the classical composer is still relevant. I love your music and ability to innovate amazing pieces.
Наконец-то я опять вижу эту талантливую девочку. Как нежность и гармония в её музыке! Спасибо, что Вы есть, милая Альма.
Fantastisch, Alma! I admire you for both conducting and playing this gorgeous waltz! Thank you for brightening my day. I love your dress, too!
In the description of this video is omitted that this is an original piece composed by Alma Deutscher in the style of Vienna end 19th century with a wink to Beethoven.
Incredible composition, wonderful arrangement, delightful music: Alma Deutscher is an inspiration.
This young Lady is a genius. Wonderful stuff!!
Beautiful Alma!! Ludwig is indeed smiling in Heaven!
We miss seeing you Alma. Thank you for this gift today. ❤
Thanks for sharing. I appreciated the nods and quotations from the glorious Ludwig Van Beethoven! Even the grumpy Beethoven would have loved it I'm sure!
Beautifully done Alma. In this hectic world, we all multi-task and here you conducted and played masterfully.
❤ Exactly! Masterful fluid multitasking!
Alma, a great sunbeam in a warlike world !!
look at her confidence as she takes her bow! She is totally present. This is pure brilliance!
I really love the way Alma aproaches music, you can clearly see (and hear) that she loves what she is doing. And to combine conducting and playing the piano is absolutely impressive
She is also a violinist
Very nice. I liked it very much. Thank you for sharing!
A wonderful waltz Alma. great seeing & hearing you again. Keep up all excellent work you are doing.
I loved when you said once that modern classical composers don't have to compose ugly music. I agree 100% and you are amazing. Yoir music brings joy and smiles wherever you go. Thank you ❤
They say they have to compose ugly music as an excuse! Simply they are not talented enough. That is all. Mediocrity is the norm today, because people tend to say that everyone could be an artist if that was their wish, even if they do not possess the necessary skills.
Lovely! So astounding that in these times, we are blessed with this fine music from one so young!
We miss you here, dear Alma. I know you are busy studying conducting, actually conducting and performing, probably composing so, please, just give us a sign.
I would love to hear of Alma's wonderful music 😊 . Greatings from Sweden Gothenburg 🤗🇸🇪
Soon as I saw there was a Bosendorfer piano there for her to play I knew the concert hall was a place that took music seriously.
And we are indeed blessed to witness this extraordinary talent revealing the wonder of music to the world!
Absolutely lovely!!!!! A musical genius.
You are the best representative of our era, to play this beautiful homage to our brother Ludwig. I am sure he is here with us, enjoying the beautiful music and the beautiful composer-conductor-pianist.
Alma makes me smile like no other. Music just flows from her like no one I have ever seen.💖
This is So Beautiful Alma👏👏👏👏Beethoven I Think Is Listening And Is So Delighted Hearing This😊🎶🎶🎶🎶
Even the way she flutters center stage to conduct and flutters back to her piano is musical!
yes! she is an angel!
Thank you Alma ! beautiful !
👍💖 Thank you Alma .....beautiful performance
Your music is so amazing and awe inspiring. It's inspirational to listen to, so beautiful.
I felt such a sense of joy and happiness - wonderful!
This piece is lush, joyful, and so colorful! I giggled out loud while listening! Thank you, Alma!
✨🌈✨
Bravo 👏 young lady 🎉❤
C'est juste magnifique! 🙂
❤ much needed these days!
When first I saw Alma, several years ago in a 60 Minutes interview, I seriously thought that this child was not of this world. She is of Earth now, but here is not her planet of origin. Maybe she remembers, or possibly not, but she was brought, or traveled here on her own, and is still in the process of becoming. We are blessed to be witness to her miraculous life.
I am gobsmacked at this woman's genius. She is making major contributions to symphonic music. l love the little snippets from other composers referenced; as l say, she is a genius of our day!
BRAVA BRAVA BRAVA!!!
how wonderful-- at 80 I want to learn to waltz!
BEAUTIFUL, THANK YOU VERY MUCH 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Wonderful ! Really like the two versions of this beautiful piece ! Thanks for sharing !
It seems as if the Muses, alienated for a century, have begun to speak again, through their agent Alma. Thank you for sharing this!
Beautifully said
Beautiful sounds ❤
Yes!! Lovely.. she’s a breath of very talented air!! She weaves Ludwig in cleverly!!!!
Keep on great works, Alma! Although it’s from Beethoven’s theme, I immediately imagined a Cinderella’s scene with this piece. Thank you for composing such a delightful work.
She's amazing. Even her putting a bit of the Archduke Trio into the introductory phrases as an homage was brilliant.
--> Ludwig is smiling! . . . .
I love it! 🩵💛🩷 Thank you as always, Alma, for sharing the talent, beauty, joy, and fun that lives within you so wonderfully.
And to conduct while also playing the piano… such fun skill!
She's out of this world
Beethoven piano trio, archduke , it begins actually as a dance and a beautiful song.❤❤ this is a great idea, comes a waltz
You all have made a difference with your kind words. Thank you!
Simply Amazing! Bravo, and Thank You for Your Music
I love this! It’s nice to see a female composer. She looks very young in this too.
She was 18 here

Exquisite! The Archduke Trio theme lends itself marvelously to a waltz. (I do wish the piano had been miked more closely in this recording.)

Very charming waltz, Alma. I especially loved the transition into Beet 5 concert. 💜🎶 I’m happy to see that you are thriving in the beautiful city of Vienna🎻
¡Bravo Alma! El principio me recuerda un poco a la sinfonía Eroica y hacia el final hace alusión al Emperador. ¡Me encanta!
Beautiful as always! I hope some day you come to visit the Pacific NW!
Lovely vibe!
danke und schön
Alma para el alma siempre...
Alma Deutscher is hard proof of the existence of former lives and transference of capabilities from one life to another.
Alma, you are amazing!!!
Beautiful Alma!
I am fascinated in Arranging some of your Melodies for Recorder. How can I do that I am a big Admirer of your Classical Music, can you help me out.

Her expression reminds me of the old saying, "If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life"!
