Wait. Does this game have some like dynamic music or something? Kinda what KI has. Because at 9:07 those jabs were synced up waaaaay too perfectly to the beat.
As a Chun player who has just reached plat 5 for the first time and will probably go back to plat 4 (and probably plat 3) in my next sets... it was kinda sad watching that last Chun-li player. Their decisions were really good, and the intensions were definitely there, but they dropped most of the combos. And dropping a combo with Chun-li is very punitive. But sometimes it's just like this. The execution is taking some vacations and you're in deep water (and in burnout).
Ryu is pretty mid in this game. I would love if Denjin applied to all his special moves and he could choose when to do it sort of like how Cammy can charge her moves, or how Luke can change the effects of his moves. Maybe it would be as simple as it applies to his next OD special, that way he can still use his fireball without using his Denjin charge. I dont play him much, so I dont care, but I feel like Ryu should always be top tier. Does Denjin effect his supers? That might be cool too.
you need to hold denjin for meterless combo, it's dumb because if you hold it you can't use your #1 zoning tool, if anything I think they should give you an EX version that gives you 2 charges or give him some kind of super that charges it like Jaime at least
What I hate about the players of 6, myself included as this game has pissed me off so much, is that they one and done after every match. I only do it if I feel the matchup is one sided as hell(aka I get so salty that I don’t wanna sacrifice my controller)
It’s pretty simple. Everything ryu can do, ken or Luke can do better or easier. Which also makes him perform poorly in to both of those characters. So when the best characters in the game are better versions of you and you have an unfavorable matchup in to them. That just objectively makes you weak. Remember that character power is primarily measured by tournament performance or the characters capacity to perform well in a tournament. It’s why zangief is low tier but is strong still. Because he sucks in tournaments. Modern fgs are also much tighter in balance then older games. A bottom tier character isn’t unplayable and doesn’t mean you can’t win anymore
I had a lot of one and dones last night when I was winning with Marisa. It was like at the stroke of midnight people just stopped running it back on the loss.
Been doing Luke lately as my main...but Ryu is still my original main and still is in my top 3 of my roster with Chun Li in terms of use...adding more characters slowly into my Roster JP (Because he's cool), Marisa (because she's cooler than JP) and Zangief on the side (Because grabs are based)...I have seen no reason for Ryu to be unusable in his current state I just prefer using Luke at the moment due to his simplicity of use and his current importance to the plot as a coach. (I am a fiend when it comes to lore)
I’m not a great player, but Ryu is my best character, I’m currently platinum with him. He suits my play style better, I feel that there are too many button mashing characters in sf6 and Ryu isn’t one of them, he also doesn’t have crazy killer combos, but again that suits my play style as I sucks at combos.
I wish he could do something off his standing medium kick. It’s a great poke but you can’t even drive cancel off it. Drive cancel would be fair since it’s expensive
look JM one and done is a strategy to keep your point you learn going 1st to 10 in casuals, as opposed to just losing points in a match you have a less than 50% chance of winning. too many low rank scrubs who main ryu who wanna blame their losses on their character pretty much ive played against some good ryus he can be obnoxcious to play against especially his insane dmg output
The Home Depot music lol. Also, Just watched a video where someone else mentioned the weird input reader. Glad to know I'm not going crazy. Hopefully they will fix that soon? Maybe they don't need to? I DK.
Dude I haven’t played a sf game since turbo and this looks both amazing and like something that I would never have the time to be any good at
Half the reason hes my main is the bonus of the strong opinions about who pick him.
Plus when i get destroyed, im still just learning this game after all.
Glad it wasn’t just me. I’ve lost count the number of times I died when the super came out instead of a dp when I tried to anti air.
19:40 "I don't think I lost any match with Honda right ?" well, the results of those placements matchs were 7W 3L, but yes, I guess we can consider that 3 is equal to 0 xD (Remember this Dee Jay ! ;) )
There is nothing wrong with RYU. He is great. He just suffers from Kobe Bryant syndrome. Why pick him when Michael Jordan (Luke) exist and is him just better
Hey jm, I think you might appreciate the "Modern" controls in the menu! It's great for newer players like yourself! An instant shouryuken might help you quite a bit with your Ryu :)
kek
I swear sometimes there’s a content creator ranked mode lol; I don’t think I’ve ever played anyone this trash, much less for a half hour straight and up through diamond🧐 Ranked is still super weird right now, doesn’t mean much but is fun
yeah, the quality of the opponent he gets is unbelievably bad even in the higher ranks.
Im new to Street Fighter online play is the etiquette to wait for the cutscenes or hit start to skip everything when fighting. Im not sure if it skips after one hits start or both hit start between rounds. Is there an etiquette?
Love your content! always a blast to watch your content!
As a SF6 Ryu player (who normally mains Gouki/Akuma), GOOD SHIT.😊
I believe u bro. accidental supers may just be due to non-optimal stick positioning
Wait. Does this game have some like dynamic music or something? Kinda what KI has. Because at 9:07 those jabs were synced up waaaaay too perfectly to the beat.
Ryu is the most honest character in the game. No tricks, no surprises. Just clean play.
That is why I main Ryu. There is no fun with winning with a broken or overpowered character like E-Honda or Juri.
That was VERY entertaining!! Had me laugh and smile a lot
I wanna see Luke, and you gotta try and land his level 2 as many times as you can. "BEAST MODE BABYYY!!"
That might be cool too.
denjin already works with his level 1 and 2
@@bigpapasm that makes sense.
I'm trying Ryu on ranked tonight. I have been inspired 😁
Chunners is always a treat to see in action. Feel like doing her qualifiers next?
YOOOOO! I didn't know Marisa could jump fireballs like that!
Man Ryu being called one of the worst when he's like the face of this whole story
you need to hold denjin for meterless combo, it's dumb because if you hold it you can't use your #1 zoning tool, if anything I think they should give you an EX version that gives you 2 charges or give him some kind of super that charges it like Jaime at least
What I hate about the players of 6, myself included as this game has pissed me off so much, is that they one and done after every match.
I only do it if I feel the matchup is one sided as hell(aka I get so salty that I don’t wanna sacrifice my controller)
It’s sad how many people value rank points more than just improving, so they quit unless they have a 100% chance of winning. League player mindset.
Whats with the input reader is that something they can fix?
Do you get negative frames on wake up against Marisa?
Lmfao bro said Home Depot music! Damn bro i cant unhear it now🤣
Seeing my friend kill it on the Gold Marisa in this video was such a nice surprise!
lmao literally like an hour ago i got a cammy to rage quit in ranked with ryu, idk why people think hes bad.
"Everyone will rage. Including me." - jmcrofts, probably
I had a lot of one and dones last night when I was winning with Marisa. It was like at the stroke of midnight people just stopped running it back on the loss.
I've noticed on weekends the volume of one-and-done's increases dramatically.
Ive been a ryu player since street fighter for the super nintendo. Crazy to see now people are saying he is low tier
I'm a master Ryu player, and I gotta say Ryu feels very strong
Oh are you the German player
He Is PALADIN
That's the point he's not broken he's honest. People like to cheat to win.
is jmcroft on a hitbox? or does he have a silent stick because i never hear his joystick ever lmao
I think you need to use Donkey Kick more often
I’m not a great player, but Ryu is my best character, I’m currently platinum with him. He suits my play style better, I feel that there are too many button mashing characters in sf6 and Ryu isn’t one of them, he also doesn’t have crazy killer combos, but again that suits my play style as I sucks at combos.
I just hit gold with ryu and honestly he has alot of great counter attacks for basically everything.
I feel like over time ken will become a rush down shoto character while Ryu will become more of a shoto grappler.
Bro Ken’s grabs wayyyyyyy more than Ryu players
@@xxiii262 yeah, but ken is much more of a rush down. Plus Ryu fits the big buff guy stereotype more than Ken.
Guile next! More Ryu would also be dope
I wish he could do something off his standing medium kick. It’s a great poke but you can’t even drive cancel off it. Drive cancel would be fair since it’s expensive
We gotta see Kimberly next!!!
I think Chun-Li next would be pretty sick. Been thinking of picking her up and would love to see your take on her.
Imo they made her easier
You just need to get used to
Her jack knife kick no longer
Being charged.
Nothing scarier than a default costume/color Ryu
Came to the channel to see ah Vid just posted recently aaaand it's not there?? Am I going nuts?? Was one I really wanted to hear too haha
Ryu is good at everything because that's what shotos do. They are the jack of all trades
“You guys know about the input reader in this game?”
I also get supers when I mash 😅
look JM one and done is a strategy to keep your point you learn going 1st to 10 in casuals, as opposed to just losing points in a match you have a less than 50% chance of winning. Im not mad for someone doing one and done in rank! However in casuals im annoyed by it because theres nothing at stake other than ones time. (or sanity lol)
22:51 Bro chun hit and Ryu 2 hit to the beat damn
