I have been a fan of Children of Bodom for over 20 years, a metal band named from the murders that happened at Lake Bodom and was always curious about the stories. Knowing about it now makes a lot of the lyrics about the murders that much more haunting. Read the lyrics of Silent night, Bodom night
I was just thinking this, I've listened to COB since when Chris Cole the skateboarder featured them on Fallen Trooper shoes in what would have been the late 2000s. Surprised I'm only finding out about it now.
There seems to be a ton of metal bands that are named after sinister individuals. Vlad tempest named after vlad the im paler and bathory named after miss batthory who tortured people in medieval times
I clicked myself into this, clicked on my next tab momentarily and was immediately taken out by you starting this with "The Lake Bodom murders are..." I mean I've seen one video of it made by a non-Finnish person before but it still is refreshing to hear it/any Finnish true crime being on a video like this, especially when you're one of the "big" ones in the community!
And even with the interaction with that creepy man those parents still took a chance in leaving their children alone with the door slightly open. You can’t make this shit up!

In the UK its pretty much widely agreed thay the McCann's are responsible for Madeleine's disappearance. I Love Scary Sketches like These... Especially The Ones On Unsolved Mysteries and America's Most Wanted
Bro even some real people photos in this video looks distorted lmao
🎯🎯 was gonna say this
Creepy as hell-some of em creeped me out more than the actual sketches
Sleep❌
Chilling Scares✅
Me tomorrow 😴
Sooo no job? Word
It's a 17-minute long video; how is that going to ruin your whole nights sleep.
Because thier scared abt the video?
☝️🤓
jobless behavior
16:16 there’s the Mr incredible picture origin fellas
Ok that last sketch is just utterly terrifying, and is near perfect on capturing the sick look that guy likely had on his face as he attacked those poor women. I seriously can’t even fathom how terrified those innocent girls were, angers me, terrifies me, and saddens me all at the same time.
Agreed
The Internet turned it into a meme
But still, jeez it gives me gooshbumps
I have been a fan of Children of Bodom for over 20 years, a metal band named from the murders that happened at Lake Bodom and was always curious about the stories. Knowing about it now makes a lot of the lyrics about the murders that much more haunting. Read the lyrics of Silent night, Bodom night
CoB, Kalmah, Insomnium and Amorphis were the bands that got me to discover a ton of kickass Finnish bands.
RIP Alexi Laiho
I was just thinking this, I've listened to COB since when Chris Cole the skateboarder featured them on Fallen Trooper shoes in what would have been the late 2000s. Surprised I'm only finding out about it now.
There seems to be a ton of metal bands that are named after sinister individuals. Vlad tempest named after vlad the im paler and bathory named after miss batthory who tortured people in medieval times
@silentrouge, Children of Bodom rules! R.I.P. to Alexi Laiho.
Absolutely adore how you pronounced "Espoo."
Or how he pronaunced the names
how about the way he pronounces "women"?
Es poo
I swear he pronounced it espoon
The voice is A.I.
I clicked myself into this, clicked on my next tab momentarily and was immediately taken out by you starting this with "The Lake Bodom murders are..."
I mean I've seen one video of it made by a non-Finnish person before but it still is refreshing to hear it/any Finnish true crime being on a video like this, especially when you're one of the "big" ones in the community!
When Chilling Scares uploads a day after Mr. Nightmare, it's a really good day.
i love night, him and scares are my top snack youtubers.
And then we also get a strange dark and mysterious delivered in story format by Mr Ballen on Sunday
@ollieminecraft i think there the same person
And even with the interaction with that creepy man those parents still took a chance in leaving their children alone with the door slightly open. You can’t make this shit up!
You are beautiful!
“Blonde mysterious guy”
Reality: a egg with giant lips
I’m Finnish and Last summer I went on a roadtrip, we stopped by the lake we’re the first murder happened. Honestly it’s always a surprise seeing a crime being committed in Finland, it felt strange being at the spot.
Ps, hearing you pronouncing Finnish names is very amusing :)
Never stop uploading bro
Always a good day when Chilling Scares uploads
The first story sounds like the inspiration for the band Children of Bodom.
I'm pretty sure it is
It is.
Sounds like a creepy peeping Tom, would have been living local.
In the UK its pretty much widely agreed thay the McCann's are responsible for Madeleine's disappearance. Even if they played no part (which lots of us doubt) they were negligent and left a toddler alone with a baby because they wanted to drink. Terrible parents who got even richer profiting off their own childs disappearance.
It's crazy they left the door unlocked.
Great work as always, friend.
This is defininitely one of the best youtube channels.
All those young women in the last one is truly heartbreaking😭😪💔
😭And the murderer look like he came straight out of Hell
@@AsifAli-od1cfthe real killer didn’t look like that
As a Finn I love the way you pronounce Finnish names. Great video
16:09 The fact this became a meme.
I really prefer this channel for the good narration and such the real content, it always catch me up watching. We need an special for real
Dis channel so under rated I love how video starts and chilling scares gets straight to the point nice work on your videos I been watching since the beginning of you first ever made video.
This!

Love the videos ♥
Yay
Another awesome video this topic seems soo coool
Yo…that first sketch gave me goosebumps. Dude looked like an alien in human disguise. A bad disguise at that. 😬
That's because it's not a picture of a real person. It's a composite of descriptions given by the prime suspect and likely culprit, Nils Gustafsson. It's a cartoonish bogeyman character.
The sketch artist: ☹️
@@amatingmind7258 I dunno…..the picture of the dude in the crowd attending the funeral wasn’t too much better. But get what you mean.
@@mikeylibra5233 lol
Friday and a new chilling scares vídeo, couldn t be any better ^^
11:36 a victim of parents who didn't want to be parents...RIP.
Chilling scares and Mr nightmare are the best horror story tellers on youtube ‼️🏃🏽
I like this channel kind of takes me back to the good old days of top 10 scariest things caught on camera with a bit less clickbait
2:57 guy looks like handsome squidward. LMAO
No he doesnt…
This person has literally heard the meme, but never seen handsome Squidward in their life😂
Even hotter 🔥🔥🔥
@@VHSVM1 honestly there is a resemblance
most cringe comment goes to:
Mr cruel from Australia is nightmare inducing as well
the beast of jersey in the UK as well
The sketch at 16:06. Holy fucking shit. If that ISN’T Nightmare Fuel idk what is!
There’s something about your commentary voice on your scary videos is interesting keep uploading more!
Hans looked eerily similar to the sketch it’s those huge eyes that look into your soul, you don’t forget a look like that
you re the best in this genre! You deserve more attention. I hope the big fame would not ruin the vibe like
todays sponsor is....
4:41 that guy looks EXACTLY like the drawing omg 😮 that's wild,
Chilling scares always delivers. 😱😱
Bro’s sketch is so unnerving that he’s been used in
Selene Delgado and the Mandala catalogue
Imagine your last moments of life ended
To this “Thing”
The amount of tries it took for me to take that creepy sketch in the last story away is the most disturbing😭
0:21 - In case you were curious, yes, photography in Finland in the 1960s did look worse than collodion photos from the 1850s. They were just starting to make their first cameras out of fish scales or whatever, so sadly, these teens’ remembrance photos look like pointillism done with finger paints.
I love how your videos introduce me to new stories I haven’t heard of before in other channels that just cover the same repetitive shit 🙏
my new fav channel❤
Derrick Todd Lee's police sketch was used for the Mandela Catalogue analog horror series. Cropping the eyes and nose and adding some effects. Interesting to know where it was from
The Johnna Lopez was played before. Scary as hell!
She doesnt exist
Love this type of vids, please consider making more :))
Dope video like usual, keep up the great work🔥
Poor Madeline....she was a complete doll baby.
I can't begin to imagine how her parents felt. I mean that feeling when you can't find your kid just for a minute is terrible.
Some speculate she was use for “Cp” content
I suggest you to look into the Monster of Florence mystery... you will find a disturbing police sketch too
That sketch looks more amusing than disturbing
The McCann sketches look like the podesta brothers. They were actually in Portugal around the time Madeline went missing 👀
We need ring doorbell camera vids!!!
👇🏼
like beggar. but yeah
@@VHSVM1😂real
Agreed!
that finger gonna go somewhere else boy
@@boog2383Copy that!
Bro these are interesting - keep it up man. The fact you come up with new ideas is commendable- my family likes gathering in the living room to watch these, after dark of course
Crazy! Thanks for posting!
You are absolutely beautiful
@@dennisobannon2328 Thank you for your compliment.
@@dennisobannon2328 Thank you
Aahhhh yes!! The mystery of the woman who never existed finally came back! 🔥🔥 I was hoping for a re upload as I missed the chance to watch that video several months ago. It’s funny cause I was laying in bed sick at night when I saw the thumbnail and the creepy picture and I was like “oh cool Chilling Scares I’ll watch it later.” And then it disappeared in the morning and I thought it was a dream or something which made it all the more creepy. 😂😂
Great videos ❤
Your best work chilling scares....
BEEN WAITING FOR ANOTHER POST 😁😁
I can't remember whose video it was, but I remember there being a follow up on Joanna Lopez. They didn't find her but some indication she was a foster child who was considered a frequent run away, so the lack of info and bad photo was a result of her being passed between families too much to have decent photos or consistent information.
OMG! Was gonna say the same thing! Forgot which channel I heard it from cause it seems when one true crime channels covers 1 story a more will follow.
I know I should wait for my lunch break at work to watch this, but I can’t help it🤣
When Chilling Scares posts that’s how you knows it going to be a great day!!
16:24 wait, that's where that image originated from
Edit: wrong timestamp i meant 16:04
The syringe?
@@dehydratedculture9126 srry wrong timestamp i meant 16:04
As a finn who enjoys true crime, almost jumped off my chair when I heard you say Bodom! :D Rarely people cover anything from here
😅Enjoys true crime?
16:03 So that's where that one Mr. Incredible becomes uncanny face meme comes from!
Yo i love your videos man
SRSRSR
man this is actually disturbing....
Awesome!
