I used to get monthly boxes from 1up and loot crate and then I started to realize no one really wants or likes this crap it just exists to make youtube videos for promotion/advertising. It's basically a box of junk mail that you're paying for. You go to comic con and other events and the stuff in these boxes is the cheap stuff no one buys at those events. They should call it liquidation box.

I can't justify spending $15 a month on a box of plastic and paper. I could afford it, but I can't justify it. I rather spend it on just about anything else.
To be fair those Qfigs alone cost $15 I think so you get quite a bit for the money but I will agree a lot of the boxes are a little underwhelming.

I am not against them in principal, but if one hit me I would get it. They do make for great gifts for children in that they get 12 packages (mail is awesome when you are 8 years old), and the toys have more appeal.
I have never bought one of these for an adult, but I have gotten the monthly flowers or monthly beer gifts in the past for adult relatives and friends. The idea is to have a gift every month for a year.

I was super unimpressed when I got mine in the mail the other day. I feel like its missing an item. I don't care for anything Harry Potter related and the comic was a complete POS. Doc Strange was fine but 15$ a month only kinda like 1 item is weak.
Yup, i felt like this crate was missing something. 14 dollars value in the figure + shirt but it just didn't feel exciting this month. I'm hoping this month's DX is better.
We shall see. The last crate i really liked was speed w/ the flash hood ornament. I put it on the side of my fridge so it looks like Barry is running up. haha.

I find that the Pop figures lack incredible amounts of detail, they're ludicrously simplistic. Pop vinyl's are really just things people bandwagon for. Qfigs typically have more detail, and sculpting (ACTUAL POSES?) with much more attentive detail to say, variety in colour, and more paint.

Nice video but I don't really get loot crate. Like is it really a better deal than just buying stuff you actually want? Of course they're themed and it's like a little christmas each month but I feel like you're just going to end up with 1 or 2 things you actually like, then just random stuff that'll sit in the closet forever. I still like the idea and i still might sign up someday lol
I agree with pop-vinyls. Only some of them are cool and detailed and wanted to your shelf, but most of them are just plain boring with no details at all. I checked Deadpool pop and it was just standard pop-vinyl with red white and black painting, and only thing added to that was his swords.
I just got my lootcrate and I loved it. Mostly because of comic-book and Dr. Strange figure, Qfig just rocks. Many comments say that Loot Crate is garbage, and it may be in some occasions, but not fully. As I have said, in my country there is so friggin' difficult to get your hands in any pop-culture merchandise, and if you happen to spot something, it is so over-priced that it just hurts. Like in many occasions you see that people sell figure from lootcrate in Ebay. Yeah you get them cheap there, but then I would have to pay 20-30€ shipping costs to my country ON TOP OF that price one is asking. So it is good for me and anyone that lives in a places like me. But if you can just walk in to a store and buy all those figures and pop-vinyls and get some merchs easily, why you would even bother subbing for these crates? I mean it's a nice little random stuff once a months so it's kinda exciting so I can understand why... but people should also learn to be disappointed at some times, that's just life.

People in rural areas and suburbs have huge houses with rooms and rooms of empty space. A childless couple in New York might have 650 square feet. In Chicago or Miami they might have 800 square feet. In a suburb or rural area they will have some big 2500 square foot house to fill, plus a basement. There are people with entire rooms full of this crap. My brother lives out in the suburbs and literally has a workshop in his basement, a movie room, a collectibles room, and the three bedrooms his family lives in.
i do have a couple boxes of things that i will never use from them, but i still love the subscription

Yeah, Boogies lootcrate videos never fail to make glad that I never got into loot crate. It just seems like a whole bunch of cheap junk, stuffed into a box, and sold as a "surprise"

Because Q-Figs are dynamic and somewhat detailed while most pops are boring molds with lifeless eyes. There are some cool pops, but most of them look stupid.

There is a megacrate! It's a trip to NYC for the premiere of Assassin's Creed (with tickets, flights, hotel all included), as well as a sword-fighting lesson. I think there may be spending money included too, not sure.

The Q-figs are much nicer for the detail / action poses. Pops are pretty much good if you just DGAF lol.

i dont know if you could make this work but how about francis steals the delivery and does a sneaky secret lootcrate unboxing maybe he wants to smash things but he finds out to his disapointment that all stuff is just too nice to just smash it so he keeps it and starts packing other stuff in the box to cover his tracks ... i dont know you might have an idea on how to aproach that also to make lootcrate happy :)
