Ha! I just received my OG crate about an hour ago. I decided not to do an unboxing video because I'd have to wait until I get home from work. I have no patience, Boogie.
Man, I liked the Ratchet pen WAY more than I thought I would. Main reason is because it's very clear to me that they used the original game/movie model file to make it, so it's bang-on with the authenticity. Great way to kick of Ratchet's LootCrate legacy.

man I don't watch this guy often, nor am I a huge gamer but he has got to be the best TH-cam personality out there. his videos are very fun to watch.
The TMNT where my absolute fav show and movies back in the day. Michelangelo was my fav turtle, then Splinter. It always cracked me up when Splinter would say at the end of each movie "I made a funny ahaha" "I made another funny ahahaha"
Best lootcrate I've seen in a long time... let's hope they are improving their boxes, with the new year. That's one reason I like to watch the unboxings (to see if they improve)
Wow for the very first time ever since you began opening loot crates on you're channel you opened not one but two loot crates that I would feel satisfied paying for.
Imagine having to order XXXXXL shirts.... It's sad that people have to order such large shirts, and when I mean sad I don't mean pathetic or anything, just shitty.
Definitely feel you on the older comics and the page quality back in the day! I don't know personally, but my father told me that you'd have a ton of content in them, and a page for fan letters from kids in the back.
One story he had was a kid that wrote in to ask them to tell their teacher off for telling the kid to not read comics in class, and they wrote back something like "Comics are for the park or at home or with friends, your teacher did the right thing!"

@6:27 Destiny has not been announced yet. But there is very strong leaks and some concept art from the studio. It's practically confirmed. But still no official announcement from Bungie themselves.
I really like Loot Crate it has all the geek culture items that I crave. The items are a lot less than what I pay for the service but it really is about the experience. Every month I get this box it feels like I'm recieving a gift from nerd culture as a whole. I forgot to mention that I also like Boogie's other sponsor Nerd Box because being part of the nerd culture is like being in a family theres a spiritual connection.
I think you'd love the Ratchet and Clank series if you gave it a try. A very lighthearted comedic series and they just remade the very first game last year. So never a better time to try and get a laugh.
You should get one mega crate a year to get your subs more into the idea of getting the service themselves

I'd love to see a retro kind of Loot Crate or from another company - older games, older movies.
For movies, I mean like Universal Horror, Hammer Horror, 50s Sci-Fi, silent movies (Nosferatu, Phantom of the Opera, Metropolis, Cabinet of Dr. Caligari), possibly Hitchcock. I have quite a few stuff saved on an Amazon wishlist, and there is a decent amount of stuff for this. I haven't seen much Hammer Horror or Hitchcock toys or figures, but I've seen the toys and figures for the others.
Although I was more of an Atari kid, there seems to be plenty of stuff based on NES and SNES games.

My father had the super man no1 it wasn't new but still worth some coins and it wasn't as thick as the reprint Dc added extra things in the comic.
This is cool, they added something like that. I remember first reading my father's comic collection from 1940s and also recall my father shit bricks when he saw me reading them when I was 13-14.

January's lootcrate was the best since the April 2016 crate
You know I would never get this for myself but dang it if I dont love watching you open them. Same with Magic cards. I dont play that game but would love to find a group that does. My only issue is that, that game has been out for so long that everyone has great sets. I did once go to a magic shop and the people there suggested I buy this nice set but once you put everything together it was like $1200 just to try out the game.

That crysalis figure was great. Is that LootGaming crate still available?I found the January basic LootCrate to be a bit pants (I'm not a fan of Capt America - bring on Capt Britain), and the tiki mug was meh (I got Splinter). The T-shirt was quite nice, but the gaming crate was better all round.

Triggered, to find out boogie has not played ratchet and clank. By far my most favourited game series to date.
you need to try out Ratchet and Clank, it's one of playstation's best exclusive franchises. go for one of the classics though, the ps4 one isn't as great

I got the loot gaming for December (my first ever) and wow was I underwhelmed. Besides the t shirt I had absolutely no use for any other item in it. Already cancelled my subscription.

If I had the spare cash I would probably go for the Loot Gaming, not a huge fan of loot crate because they never really have stuff I'm personally interested in, but I loved the gear in the gaming one, did not know they had one specific for gaming. Maybe one day I might when I have a little bit more cash to blow my money on that's not reserved for games :D

Boogie one question. why are you not eligible for the mega crate ever? i have been wondering about that since you first mentioned it
its that good of paper quality because its a reprint; comic paper from the 40's is so horrible; especially around the WWII era. its not even close how much better the comic paper quality is in 21st century compared to 10 cent-20 cent era of comics.

French comics (bande dessinée) are great if u want quality! They are always the same width, hard back, and there's a whole range of tastes and types of comics.
Boogie! What do you do with all that stuff you get every month? Loot crates, stuff people send you etc....If you've never done a video like this, could be interesting to see. I mean from what I see your house doesn't look like a hoarder situation :P.
loot crates are just bad, granted that reprint of original comic where superman appeared was pretty dam cool, but rest of stuff was just junk, t-shirt you can easy buy anywhere. Gaming crate was all junk sent to your door this month.

origins was my first crate ever and I loved it :) I love tmnt so I like the mug but as someone who doesn't drink shots or cocktails (or drinks much at all haha) it was a bit of a (what to do with you) scenario, but the shield was my favorite item its so cool
