I like the idea of lootcrate, but I never like the stuff they put in the boxes. Still, watching the unboxing is pretty fun.
Sebastian Ioan agreeed - seems like they need to narrow down their boxes more - some for gamers, some for people interested in comics, etc.

It's gotten way too expensive for me for very little reward. For me it costs about $38 each month for the basic one (that's what I get for living far away from pretty much anything world wide...Australia). Stopped getting them a couple of years ago after getting every one for about 4 years. On the plus side, I've got a TON of shirts out of it that I am constantly rotating.

$20 dollar seems like the better value because a t shirt alone could retail at $19.99 - however, because of the randomness, I just don’t see how this is worth it. If you could pick between 3 different boxes a month or something like that, to have more of an idea of what you’re getting, that would be cool. Almost like blue apron (where you have to choose 3 meals out of like 10) ... but otherwise, for me a lot of that stuff is junk - and I enjoy Deadpool.

Also. To answer your question about which crate is of better value. I'd go with the cheaper crate...the rest of the stuff in the more expensive crate is really cool, but I feel you might not get exactly what you pay for. I'd personally get any lootcrate for the shirt though :)

I personally would’ve taken the $20 loot crate simply because I like Archer and the Big Lebowski. That box seemed to have a wider assortment of items in comparison to the more expensive loot crate which only focused on Deadpool.

I really like the loot crate videos, but maybe when you do the DX or special boxes, do those last. Maybe it's just me, but it builds a little more anticipation.

I might be common sensing it too much, but I don’t think the formula is, “does this equal or exceed the retail value of all items.” That’s how they’re selling it. The real question is, would you buy this stuff by itself at a store? What I see is is essentially $600 (50x12) for 12 T-shirt’s and maybe 8 collectibles, at most. I’m not going to buy a punisher sticker every month, or a Deadpool coffee table book, or 12 mr. potato heads a year.
I always try to fend off from loot unboxing until my basic crate arrives. That tee is everything.
I like the 49 dollar one better but 600 bucks for the whole year is pretty hefty for me so watching you open yours is cool

apparently its not the same price worldwide, its 30$ for regular crate and 75 for dx in israel, i think the base crate is good value for this month compared to the dx one
i stick the pins on a corkboard because i have no use either but they look good on display. ive literally just cancelled loot crate today though i felt the quality has dropped since they started doing 100 crates and decided to watch these videos to see if other opinions were the same.

I'll tell you what you can do with the pins, get a big old jean jacket, cut the sleeves off and make a badass, nerdy battle jacket.

Maybe you could get the message to loot crate. I misses the first six months since Loot started. From then till now the basic crates are getting plain. One of the best was Adventure theme. This month was okay again and I know the shirt is worth the whole crate. Bring back stuff like death star ice cube molds and dragon jerky.
Other note keep up the unboxing. After I get mine I have to watch to see what u think as well.
Lootcrate is €30 here for the normal one thats about $35. So i will just come back every month to see you open yours. Love your vids btw

I see value in both but from the outside looking in the $20 box would be more of the conservative buy if you were looking for personal interest in mind. The $70 box, more for financial sway would be a better investment. I say this because the $20 box like someone mentioned in comments below, has solid value in the t-shirt alone which could be valued between $15-$19 stand alone. The figurine could be valued $5-$10, and the decal anywheres from $1-$5. So the $20 box potential can rack in a $35 worth just from 3 items alone. The Dx or $70 valued box is more of a buy you would see Live streamer grab instead for first upmost reasons that random chance at the grand prize (live screening) to give away. The other items like the shirt, book and Mr. Potato Head barely reach value at the $70 price tag. But, they make nice gizmo’s that live streamers can raffle off in which makes for good standards between viewer to streamer relationship... Good Standards = Good Donations.... Donations = Pay

To be honest I just signed up like a week ago and I signed up for the basic loot crate, Loot crate DX, Loot gaming, and risky business. So I'm pretty sure all of them are worth the money. But if I don't like what they give me then I could always give it to someone I know likes it.
They are both a good value. But i say the 50$ crate with the art book and higher quality shirt is more of a value per dollar
The basic one seemed like you got more bang for your buck because I really like everything you got, but the DX version had some pretty nice quality stuff and that book is awesome
well boogie you got to look at it this way. 1. the cheaper crate I think is more its value 2. the Dx in my opinion would be more for the collector it has better looking stuff in it.

On another note, I would have loved the lootcrate this month. I just wish I could afford it (value wise I think the crate itself works out but last I checked, shipping to the EU cost as much as, if not more than the lootcrate. Plus there's probably customs charges on top). Love watching these.
