    The ones disabling the hood switch I would suggest replacing it eventually as I had Nissan that the hood did not fully closed and swung open going up a ramp going up onto the interstate. Had to replaced the hood, windshield, and repair damage done to top of my Nissan when hood swung open.

    No need to remove the latch. The switch has two tabs at the front allowing it to be removed from under the latch.

    If you want a 2-minute fix simply bare the wires before they go into the switch and join them together then cover with electrical tape.
    The last two nights have been lovely being able to lock my car in silence😊

      You cut the wires off feeding into that circut and tied them together? This didn't cause any other fault? Can you send a picture?

    After watching this video i took my bracket off unclipped the sensor, drilled a hole through the side of the sensor . i then screwed a screw through the bottom of the metal spring pinning it down onto the switch, therefor basically disabling it totally . until if i decide to get a new part as having the bonnet hooked up to the alarm dont bother me so ill just leave it screwed down and disabled . its a 5 min job if you want to disable it , you could even just screw through the plastic guessing the height to pin the switch down if u wished . and now my alarm dosn't go off in the slightest bit of wind yay ;)

    Question: we have a 2011 Range Rover Sport. But on the passenger side, we do not have a fluid bottle w yellow cap -like you do. Do your instructions still apply to our car?

    Thanks so was the bonnet open signal gone after that? since your video ended without showing if it was still there. I have the same issue with my LandRover Discovery 3, the car alarm randomly goes off at night so i think i need a sensor replacement & also to fix the clip as you just showed.

    You don't need tu remove the latch ! Just remove the face grill (no tool needed) and no risk to break the bottom pins.

    You can also just put a paper-clip into the connector with the 2 wires, to short it out, tape it up and never have to worry about it again as the computer will think hood is always closed. Quickie fix for free!

    Why didn’t you just remove the grill ? You took the top part off ,all you had to do is pull out the bottom and it comes off easy. You would have had much more room.

    • @soroilo2003

      Yes it is very easy to remove grill just didn't know it was that easy at the time I did this video

    • @soroilo2003
      @soroilo2003  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a little bit of an adjustment on the one I have

      soroilo2003 Cool i figured it would i might just need a new latch since my hood bonnet does raise up about 1/4 of an inch. you reminded of me with my daughter always a helping hand when she was younger. Now as a teen its rare. Enjoy your kids when theyre young. Thanks for the reply brother.👍🏼

    Mannnn change ur title to range rover sport! I keep coming across ur video thinking its for a L322....

  • @johnjohannemann1220
    @johnjohannemann1220 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Apparently you knew ahead of time what the failure was so why not have the parts ready and install them in the video. Doing double duty and twice the work is not cost or time affective.
