Very helpful and clear instructions. I Bought the original latch and sensor (similar to the one in the clip) from Land Rover for my discovery 3 2007 for £30. It took me under 10 minutes to replace it with no skills or experience. Everything seems fine, no sign on dashboard (Bonnet open) and the most important, no more security alarm going off day and night. Thank you very much for this video.
This was very helpful and worked for me, although the Australian Freelander 2 (LR2) has a different grill. I ended up lossening up the top of the grill, removing the right headlight, and operating from the headlight hole and the rear like a surgeon doing a laproscopy! Time will tell whether I've fixed the false alarm problem. Thanks team!
Please guys i need your help.i got a Lr3 that dar battery and Key battery run out and after replace the car battery the alarm goes off and i was not able to disable the alarm. How can i do it?

We don't have the hood latch assembly in stock currently for Range Rover Full Size L322 (2003), but we can get it and ship it within 2-3 days of order. Give us a call 800-533-2210 or email us and a parts specialist would be glad to assist. Not sure on the latch cable, but they will be able to tell you availability and price on that as well. Contact via email on www.roverparts.com. "Parts Question" tab in lower right of page on desktop or the question mark icon in header on mobile. Thx.

Always a good idea to leave a link to other videos you mention in the description as we don't have a clue where to find them?
I removed mine, cleaned it, lubed it again and stuck it back in, super easy.... it's been 3 years now and no error.
What type of lubricant did you use?

common is the cable sticking stopping latching, the alarm switch is a simple spring microswitch same as used on truck engine brakes, it does not fail
Very Informative. Saved me a chunk of money! Thanks Doug
