I dont like screamers, but I love Mayu screams/growls. You are right, Mayu's voice just has that something special.

I'm picky with my screamers. I didn't like it much at all in the past but with the like "wave" of new female screamers that can that can also switch to these beautiful clean vocals, it adds that thing I've been missing.
My personal favorite would probably be Maria from Future Palace because of the way she uses it in the songs. It's more just this release of pent up energy to highlight certain lyrics. I just love it.
Their last 3 songs have a lot of nice things happening in the back ground. This band supplies enough variety in their sound to never be accused of being boring, yet keep their Nemophila sound as a force at all times. This song was great live as well.
Number one among their heavy tracks. From an interview MAYU gave...~ ADABANA, a flower you can live your life with a strong will. Flower that shines beautifully, you can light up yourself. The song is calling you to have guts. Atmosphere of the song is very dark, but has a positive direction, which she said is one of the characteristics of NEMOPHILA, to keep faith and a positive mind. 🌸✨🌠
Tamu is one of the most sought out session drummers in Tokyo; actually ended up in Nemophila after what was suppose to be a one off session. She's versatile as hell, and does sessions for Jazz, Pop, Prog Metal, pretty much any style (she has her own YT channel). She also a pretty respected drum instructor, all that and she looks likes she's 19 LOL. As for the writing, I saw a video with Hazuki and Saki from YoungGuitar where they said the guitar solos are done independently without knowing what the other has put down, but I'm sure they eventually get together for the harmonies. Oh also about Tamu, apart from drums she plays piano, xylophone, guitar, bass and jazz sax. Great talent all around in that band.
These ladies were great to watch at the Whiskey a Go Go. Their screams worked for me. Normally the screams are too much but they have the right balance. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

The guy who composes and arranges a good chunk of their music is Akiyama Kensuke. The girls also do some composing (w/ Akiyama doing the arranging). The girls write the majority of the lyrics.
He's like an extended member of the band isnt he. Its sort of like a songwriting team of all the band members and Kensuke. He's that close with the ladies he was even at the Whiskey a Go go gig last month. He's highly regarded as a metal/rock songwriter etc in Japan. What a team.🤘
I can't wait to see what they actually compose when the reins are released by the label. Usually takes a few albums before they are released from what I have seen so far with other bands.
Oh you have to react to HYPNOSIS (composed by bassist Haraguchi-san and lyrics by Hazuki guitarist of Li-sa-X) and watch how two awesome guitarist gave way for the rhythm section to shine through and listen to the drums goddess Murata Tamu goes off.
The expertise that each member has on their instruments, the tastefulness of the guitar solos. Not overlong but just enough for this song. Murat-sans drumming, again just enough yet distinctive, exciting and masterful/ I love this band. Extraordinary!
They need to tour the US. Right now!!!

Singer with red black blonde braided and every other type of hair is Mayu, married 1yr, the band is her everything!! she's responsible for all there cover songs.
Guitar chick (always on left) also in Lisa X band is Hazuki. She and Tamu are the only members yet to write Nemophila song but have for other projects.
Guitar chick (always on right) is Saki former guitarist & main writer with Mary's Blood and bunch other projects, the only Nemophila member fluent in English.
The insane bassists who really came out of her shell at Whiskey is Haraguchi-san, she wrote few Nemo songs, also has a fashion label called Chanqoo.
The drummer is a multi skilled musician a highly respected season drummer, drum teacher and mother of 2 and.... haha, Murata Tamu or Tamu
I can't find the exact song but the drumming in the bridge is like some Dance of Eternity weirdness mixed with the menace of As I Am (both the start and the 6 minute drum fills) and I love it.
I know I'm probably stepping on some toes with the following, but there was once a singer to whom the description "Scream like a demon and sing like an angel" was used more often, or still is. Well, I think Mayu is the one who can fill Chester Bennington's shoes the best at the moment. At least from my point of view. And I probably have no problems with Mayu's screaming because there is a similar balance with her normal singing. I don't know, maybe I'm totally wrong about that. Fact is, I like Nemophila and this song is maybe their strongest and most mature so far. :)

I think this song and Hypnosis are by Haraguchi-san. the bass player. They have a nusery btw backstage when they play for Tamu's kids, the drummer.

I know Saki-san has been writing some lyrics...including...was it this one, last one or both? Last one for sure if I recall.... It wouldn't surprise me if she isn't composing as well...She did a stint with Destrose, went to Mary's Blood for, what? A decade....and now this stint with Nemophila...Although Hazuki is experienced as well, her time with Disqualia and Lisa-x Band...It's not what Saki has had though... I think Haraguchi was the only one I wasn't followiing before they formed this band...plus Saki had put out some solo material right before this if i recall...hmmm Thaty is a good question though!?
