Related to your question is a book called "Confessions of a Sociopath." I'm reading it right now and got pretty fascinated about a lot of its implications (particularly in my work in security -- both physically and digitally). But to answer your question about nature vs nurture, which is a fascinating one not just social adjustment but health and lifestyle too, it seems like scientists are coming to consensus that it's a bit of both. There's this statement I see a lot that "genetics is the gun, but environment pulls the trigger," and I think that's very applicable here. I'd recommend reading the book as a specific case study of another person who's also a diagnosed psychopath but is also a regular civilian for the most part. She really presents the description as more of a neurodivergence than as a mental illness, and explains that tests these days differentiate between someone who thinks and believes in a psychopathic way, versus someone who acts out antisocial behavior. A lot of successful CEOs, surgeons, financial investors, and warfighters are psychopaths who have learned to simulate empathy (and see valid reasons for being upstanding members of society) but whose mental wiring give them an advantage in their field.
CRAZY! Great video Sarah 😊😊😊 I think genetics play a role somewhat, but environment can also affect a child’s psychology. One of the most important skills in life is self control 💯💯💯 some have more impulse control than others. Great idea on this video! LOVE & LIGHT BEAUTIFUL💖💖💖

Just playing devils advocate and he scares me more than the traditional psychopath because it sounds like the stereotypical story “oh he was a pillar of the church or community” Basically hiding in plain sight so to speak. Looking back at serial killers, their common trait was intelligence and charisma. Just saying

That's an excellent and very apt quote, I entirely agree. Thank you for mentioning the book name

Self control, a very interesting point.
I suppose anyone is capable of anything, but resistance is key... Great point, thank you!

That's a VERY interesting take... when you look at Ted Bundy for example, you could be onto something here
