@@AndrewsKnots I have been using this knot for a while and I am very pleased. It works better for me than the FG. FG is great, but it doesn't work for me when using fine lines up to 0,8 PE and FC up to 0.23.. Cheers Andrew, keep on the good job!
At first attempts this knots quite fiddly and not easy to remember , im an older guy and my eyes / fingers are not as dextrous as they once we're. But once you suss it its a great knot, very tidy and doesn't snag up on the top eye when retrieved or upon casting. 👍
I have used the double uni knot for 20 years never ever let me down once in salt or freshwater fishing don't change a winning combination is my motto andrew, don't you think using a black background is better than a whtie background for demo you can then use bright coloured lines or white for demo
Whatever works 👌 I personally used to Albright for almost everything but this one is better. Also, this knot is much stronger with fine braids (PE0.2-PE0.4) than most knots (uni-to-uni included). 👍 I could use black background, just where I would get white line then? 😊
Hello Andrew! I like your films. In this case , i tried this knot out, but it doesn't work well with very thin lines in MY case! Greetings from germany!
Hi, Can I ask, what exactly you mean by "very thin lines"? I use this knot with stuff like YGK X4 PE0.2 and it does work better than any other knot I tried!
@@AndrewsKnots Of course you can! My fishing stuff isn't in my house, so i found only 0,18mm (6,8lb) mono and some 0,18mm braid. Just to try this knot! Maybe it is better with my normal 0,25mm mono and 0,12mm braid?
Polder stick to the knots that work for you like i said to andrew i have used the double uni knot for 20 years never ever let me down salt or freshwater fishing dont change a winning combination bro ever, para
Hi Andrew. One question, can this knot be used for salt water spinning? It looks really easy and fast to tie, but I wonder will it work with 0.16 braid to 0.35 fluoro?
I was using Albright knot for attaching my feeder rig to the mainline but sometimes the knot fails me, probably due to some mistake. :) Do you think this one would be better option then?
Hi Andrew. A good demo, but I would like your thoughts on its ability to pass through small guides, especially the rod tip guide. Even my FG knot sometimes can be a little obstructive on the smallest of my rod tips. 👍✌️
Hi, Can't comment too much on the matter as I never use long shockleaders.. This one is tapered on one side (when going out). So, it may work but it's not the smallest knot for sure.
The uni to uni knot is smaller and will pass through the guides easily aslong as your top guide is not a micro guide i never buy rods that have top micro guides i also never use leaders longer than my arm this way you can cast easily without the knot going through the top guide, para
Just to confirm, Uni-to-Uni is not smaller than this knot 👌 For Uni there is a trimpled-up line making it one of the biggest knots you can tie (part with mono will have large diameter). Other than that - superb knot to attach metal elements to the line.
Looking good. Will try it out for sure. Thanks for the great video Andrew
No problem 👍

Will give it a go and see what it's like. Always to have a nice 'go to knot' when you're on the bank and the hands are cold!
Absolutely 👌✌
Great video will give it a go cheers Andrew
Have fun 👍
I use FG knot, it is smaller than this one but a very difficult one to tie. I like this one better, thank you for sharing!
No problem!
Well done👍. It does remind me a GT knot in a way.
It does!
Yes I had the same feeling just the finishing is different. But I did try it but it comes undone not sure im doing right 😅

Fantastic!
Thanks for the clear video. Can you recommend the length of fluro line for lure fishing and do you use any clips to attach to the lure?
Around 60 cm. I mostly don't use any clips.

Personally i would like to see a proper knot test done to see if it is stronger than the double uni just sayin, para
Try it yourself 👍
My tests say, that this one is about up to 20% stronger than uni-to-uni.

Well, it's exactly "very thin" what you tried. 😊
So, what happened to the knot? I suspect you didn't tie it right. Please try it again!
@@AndrewsKnots Well, i stored my testlines away. But i try it surely again at the water with more common line diameters ;-)

Hi Andrew is this knot better than Albright for fine braids and flouro ? i always use Albright
Hi,
It's much stronger than Albright when fine braids used (say PE0.2-PE0.4). Albrigth is a bit smaller though.

Yes, absolutely.
Too much going on there for me 👍

Cheers for the honest reply Andrew. I guess I will just have to try it. When I do, I will let you know what I find. ✌️

Hi Andrew, what is the name of this knot? cheers!
Hey,
I don't. I want to call it "Spiderman's knot". 😎
