Hey Todd fellow Kia owner here and backyard mechanic. I followed your video to a t however now when the vehicle is running the brake pedal is almost to the floor before the brakes engage. Any thoughts on that and possible answer on how to fix that. Please and thank you

Adding to my comment. Going in reverse the brakes work at the top. It's only when moving forward that the brake pedal is almost to the floor before it stops.

Could you explain what to do with the little tube of lubricant which often comes with new break pads? Is that suppossed to be the caliper lubricant you referred to in your video?

I think it’s put on both sides of the travel guides of the brake pad as well as on the contact surface between the brake pad and the piston.

what rotors did you use , ACDelco ? I see alot old ACDelco parts for my Kia Sedona....I thought ACdelco was only for American cars.

Hi didn't see you re tighten the top caliper mounting bracket body bolt. (you mention the value at 18:57 in the video but l didn't see you do it.) You removed the bottom one at 12.01 and slackened the top but never returned to it or did l miss something.

I gotta ask, why would you replace the whole caliper for a stuck bolt? Why wouldn't you replace the bolt instead? Thanks.

Pretty sure that he had a stuck piston on the caliper. If the piston is not moving back and forth then you are going to have issues.

slappy915. nope. pistons collapsed flush. He's suggesting changing the entire thing over a bolt.
not to mention you should pull the lid on the brake fluid when collapsing the pistons

To make more business. Even how about cleaning the existing
bolt, lubricate and putting it back on?

Why couldn't you just break open the bleeder valve and make sure the reservoir is full to facilitate squeezing them in
