    Excellent video! One for the better automotive procedural ones I've seen. Just finished replacing a caliper on my 2011 Sedona (driver's side front). Lower caliper pin was seized and the pistons seemed a bit sticky.

    Terrific video, and I'm looking to do the front rotors and brakes now that the weather's improving. Any particular brand of rotor you like to use?

    I have a 2011 KIA Sedona that I'm doing a brake job on, however, I'm down to the rotors with both screws out, the rotor is loose but will not come off and will only come out about 1/8 of an inch then jams. This happens on both sides. I even hooked up a gear puller to the rotor and put enough pressure on it that it should have popped loose but didn't. Didn't want to put too much pressure on the puller for fear of cracking or busting the rotor. Any suggestions??

    Do you have to take the brake resavoir cap off when you squeeze the piston back in?

    does anyone keep rotors and just change pads anymore?

    • @hugh3rdof5
      @hugh3rdof5 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      exactly my question..... Seems a waste to change rotors when not needed, esp. for a do-it-yourself chap who uses good pads.... Couldn't tell if the rotors here were scored or not...... he didn't even mention the issue, just presumed both were to be changed.

      Usually you dont replace brakes without replacing rotors or resurfacing the rotors. If you leave old rotors without resurfacing them you might run into performance problems. People do it all the time but I wouldnt.
