I am from India, Bihar working as Software Engineer, my Father was farmer. I had followed the same steps for going 110 Ft 5 inch borewell. But it become bit easier when we have Electricity. First process was same instead of tractor pully and belt we are using Submersible pump with electricity. Anyway Great work , you people are doing the real work producing grain, which is most important need for every Mankind. When I saw this video it really connect me to the root. How difficult it is to get grain from mother earth.
This film of a process of drilling wells to irrigate crops is a little different from what is done in the western USA---making a "search online with a computer" would be a much faster way to show what is done here---key in "cable tool" for an older method similar to yours for easy drilling easy to 1000' feet and "rotary drilling for harder rock and deeper drilling. I've "hand dug" easy digging with my father on a hand made rig 65 years ago and personally dug with a cable tool 40 years ago!!! There is a lot of info on line---my seeing the film is on a curiosity level only--on a perceptive level, there is lots of ways to do any job if you let your imagination show the way!!! With a computer, we all have access to a whole world of ideas and information, it works!!!
In US this is similar reverse drilling except compressed air is put down the center of the drill stem to bring up the mud with the cuttings. I have many wells that are 800 feet deep that take 30 hrs to complete with gravel pack.
Interesting process but I kinda think his sediment pit needs to be separated from the water-pit he uses to drill. That pit may be large but it is the distance that pulls out more sediment from the water & not volume. If he is going to use the dirty-drill-water to drill then the pit should be more long than it is large.

great video! well documented. fascinating drill rods. bolt-on flanges instead of threaded ends. kelly rod and drive table instead of top-drive. i could not quite understand how the water was flowing, though. neat belt-driven pump mechanism at the end.
Drill pipe is sucking water with sand through the pump to the pond. New water is coming from the pond through chanel and goes down in the pit. Reverse drilling. Suction drilling
Turban----the motor is above ground and the pump is at the bottom , large capacity of water to be pumped ///an injecter pump, old style domestic setup, is pumping water down and it brings more water up---two pipes///a submersible, one pipe, generally domestic, the pump and motor is below water----all kinds of ways and ideas, lots of different checkbooks, needs, wants, and desires!!!

it's some kind of PTO irrigation pump. never seen this design. tractor drives belt, spins a gearbox at the top of the well. gearbox turns a vertical driveshaft. pump is at the bottom of the well. spins and forces water up to the top.
Ini tidak menghemat biaya❤ ini masih pakai tenaga mesin diesel dll. Percuma inj di sebar luas kan. Kata orang as ini lebih beruntung❤ salah donk 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you for your video, i ask a question, why my bore hole, instead of flowing water, they blow air? 128 ft deep. pls review my video. tittle, Drilling: May lumalabas na hangin sa tubo.
@@HayNillesen-no3ig No, but the video creator had a click bait title saying about Sustainable solution, which they have since changed. I was merely pointing this out as been click bait. I have an interest in proper sustainable sources such as hydraulic ram pump's which I have one and solar/wind powered pumping systems. So hate getting these videos in my feed!
Actually later these guys are going to make a water tank and from that tank water will go out to the fields. That's why they made the delivery pipe a little high. Thank you so much for your comment.

Just a thought, but @4:14, you could attach a pulley with rope to the blue frame of the machine, so the person that climbs up can hook a harness.

easier to make drill rod from scrap with a torch and a welder. more durable too. Youd need a bunch of lathe work to turn old pipe into threaded
