Have watched well & bore drilling here in NZ & all the drilling mud was saved and collected in a bath which overflowed into another & it was here where the drilling mud was pumped from! I’ve always found well & bore drilling very interesting but it’s hard work for the chaps loading & removing the drilling waste coming up from below! Not a job for the faint hearted! You really had your work cut out! It’s interesting watching someone else from another country drilling for water! I was surprised that each length of pvc pipe wasn’t glued at each joint! Here in NZ most of the time the casing pipes are steel with screwed ends & sockets!
Got one dug for me in Ghana. They didn't even leave a casing pipe. But boreholes are relatively cheap here so can't complain. It's just not done by experts as done in other countries
What you mentioned about NZ drilling and their rules is typical for a socialist country. Everything is overegulated and the cost of living is higher because of it. Check out the water drilling in the US and see how simple it can be, and much less expensive in States like Texas.
Often the compressed air down the bore flushes our stones sand & tiny pebbles along with clearing the underground strata making the water flow eventually!
Love the Drllers hard hat, and the steel capped flip flops. If he doesn't fit a safety chain, to that delivery bullhose, one day its going to chase after him.
Skill is what keeps you safe at work, not Osha required footwear. The XY chart of workers safety is a straight line upwards and the slope did not change when OHSA came into being. Being sued is what made companies become safer.
Brazil? Seems to be no attempt to preserve samples of drill cuttings so that knowledge of the aquifer can be obtained for further work? Protective gear for the crew a bit minimal. Controls for the rig mounted under the tray - the operator has to kneel to keep an eye on them. Didn’t seem to do a blow test. Looked like about 1/2liter per second to me.
You took the words out of my mouth. These guys jell together Pure gold for these folks. Even the cattle can smell the water. Every body gets a raise

Sure they drilled thousands of bore holes .Hard working people. Nice video.

Using air instead of water to blast out the loose sand... Clever

Compressed air if your drilling through dry ground, water under pressure if you hit damp/wet areas..
Rig is not as advanced in the bells and whistles but these guys know how to make it drill. Team work. I like the improvised cutting controls they use.
When you guys get bored you should be panning some of that stuff and seeing how much gold is in it 👌

OSHA approved footwear.

@@thomaswayneward Correct. Tho the only reason to wear a brightly coloured plastic hard hat, is so you don't have to waste time searching for a head.
Hard working fellows with practiced moves.
When the I see the water, I think all the job is worth very much
Look be about 10 gallons a minute? Not bad
Look up primary water! Underneath our flat earthly plane is endless fresh water!
That’s true & the water is probably over a million years old! But the skills come locating it!
If groundwater was infinite then subsidence and salinisation wouldn't be the massive issue they are.
Look up something based on fact not fantasy.
I like the work since fruit of the work is seen clearly

Geology of shallow wells changes quickly area to area, not like oil well drilling.
Looks like you went at least 80 meters deep there...
Hi, could I friendly ask, what was the thing with the soap? To clean the bore hole?!🤔 🙂
Its foam coz of the drill rotating in soil with water.

Is that osha approved safety gear they are wearing
Wonderful job.
Good night friend, how long have you been working with this compressor? , tell me about the compressor if it is good?
Compressor seems advanced..but rig technology very low need to upgrade
Compressed air, not water. The water rising is ground water.
I counted 15 inner liners at 5m ea?

No not likely they prefer flip flops or bare feet!

They would flip if they hit oil
Oil and gas at that shallow level is not usually under pressure. In fact it hardly flows at all.
? 23 mins in the drill rods are separated and the rock hammer is still running, rubbish bit of editing right there.

Why do you find so many hippies on drilling rigs? Every rig has a pusher and a 5 gallon pail of dope and the joints are 20 feet long. lol
