- BoostedBoiz bought this 1000hp Prelude for only $5,000! All she needed was a transmission and some fresh oil, and BOOM - they were ready for 9 second passes! This car was originally built 10 years ago by Brent @ PFI Speed (BoostedBoiz parter shop), using parts from Brents 9 second CRX he raced in 2001!! Will Kyle eventually take that Prelude record - currently 9.33? We sure hope so!

i think 1320 realized they should feature honda’s to kill the sterotype that v8 guys hate honda’s and some do but real car guys respect quality/fast builds.
brian flint they feature just as many tuners as they do muscle
whatchu talkin bout willis they show literally all types of cars not just v8s
add to that kyle drove his civic 4000 miles to race and ran personal bests. that kid dont make trailer queens like the v8 powered.

True story, I can see how it's hard though outside of events their all at. With BoostedBoiz being in CO, Cleetus in FL, and 1320 based out of NE but traveling all over the place all the time

I easily see that Prelude eventually taking the top fastest time ever eventually as they get it dialed in more and more. Great to see an old build that still pulls like that...It was very well built for sure to be able to still do that.

It got the power to hit 8s i beleive if the tinker with it itll hit 8s one day.
Prob is its maxed on fuel
They have a few more notches to turn that thing up.
They haven't been focusing on the engine as much as they have other components on the car like suspension, traction bar, and wheels. That thing was making serious power on a sketchy setup.
I always like the dashboard gauges in the prelude

@@crxmad2killu yep and he does have the right parts to put 8 injectors on it if i remember correctly .so all he need to swap that over have 8 matching injectors.

I'm more of a Hemi or LS guy these days, but I started with Hondas 20 something years ago. I love seeing a fast Honda at the track like this, makes me want to get another CRX or Prelude for old time sake. Great pulls dude!

Heh... Kyle thought Kyle blew up at the end of that 1st run when he popped the chute, let out and it smoked up... Seems those new tires and coil-overs are helping the old Prelude hook up! When they get it dialed in at a lower altitude and in some cool weather I bet he gets it into low 9's hell maybe even hi 8's!

Prelude vs. Unicorn, lets see it ;) Also Prelude vs. Ruby and Unicorn vs. Ruby because all 3 cars are in the same class power/ET wise. By this of course I mean all in the sub 1300HP range and 9.0 index class
Ruby is a second faster. (mid 8's)
Unicorn is a second slower. (mid 10's)
@@nitroustommy3668 Ruby's only been in the 8's once hasn't she? they could always turn the prelude and ruby down a tad to make it more even. At least it wouldn't be like say Unicorn vs. Leroy in his current state. I just think it would be a cool set of races.
