    I can not recall anyone showing how to adjust (flex or bend) the trouser leg to get the crease straight the way you showed us. For years I have been pulling on the trousers to get the leg to lie flat and straight, for me to only put a different crease in the leg. This really works! Thanks again.

      I'm really glad you found this useful! Ironing can be tricky at first, but doesn't have to be if you know this stuff.

    Great content as always, keep up the good work! Very informative video without overcomplicating anything.

      Thanks, I'm glad to hear that. I was a bit worried I was over-complicating things, especially after editing and saw how long the video was!

      That's great to know. I know sometimes I talk a bit slow compared to some of the other youtubers out there.

    Thank you for this, just found the video. Wasn't sure how to iron my wool trousers.

    Thanks for the video tutorial on pressing trousers. I first started ironing shirts and then moved on to trousers. Thanks for sharing the method you use to hang jeans to dry after washing. Would I use the same method to press the smaller pleat on double pleated trousers? Thanks again.

      Glad it was helpful! Great question, the smaller of the double pleats you would press using the same method but you don't need to go too far down. If you review the part of the video towards the end of the Chino pressing, I talked about how I'd press down the pleat but no more than 3-4 fingers width down the pleat, just apply that same method.

    Great video, thank you for the help! Could you make more videos like this in the future? Maybe, ironing shirts, taking care of your clothing, or any valuable information we should know.

      Sure thing! I think clothing care is a good one to go over.

    Are all the bottom of your pant legs hemmed like that? I forget the name you call it lol but I have a few suits like that and I really like the way it looks.. And I have a question.. My pants always fall down so I have to always pull them up should I just start wearing suspenders instead of belts?

    Instead of using the cloth, can't you just turn the temperature a bit below the wool setting? The cloth would create a temperature difference itself. Do you use the cloth on other fabrics? I ironed my first trouser creases today on my khaki chinos.

    • @Justin_Kwan
      @Justin_Kwan  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      On cotton chinos I don't use a cloth since I'm very familiar with my iron and my clothing but on wool I'll use a cloth and warmer setting (that the wool setting). The reason I still use a cloth with wool is because wool has a lower burning temperature than cotton or linen and I would absolutely hate it if I burned my wool trousers--which is when it is too hot and creates a sheen or shine on the wool.

    Excellent guide. What make are those trousers?

    • @Justin_Kwan
      @Justin_Kwan  ปีที่แล้ว

      They are a classic bespoke wool trouser and a made to measure cotton chino from Principle M (www.principlem.com)

    Have you considered creating a video on Using a Streamer on Your Wool Trousers or Dress Shirts?

    • @Justin_Kwan
      @Justin_Kwan  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'll never steam my trousers and I find ironing my shirts (vs. steaming) achieves a better result. Maybe this is something worth discussing in a video.

    How did you fold the upper part of the trousers? I always find it hard getting it right

    • @Justin_Kwan
      @Justin_Kwan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that part is a bit tricky, especially with the pleats. You might just have to watch that part of the video a few times and then practice it yourself on a pair of trousers. The more you do it, the easier it is!

    How often do you accidentally create a new crease line?

    • @Justin_Kwan
      @Justin_Kwan  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Every now and again. But I try to check the trousers while I'm ironing to avoid that.

    You are making videos that dozens of people have made before. Why.......?

    • @Justin_Kwan
      @Justin_Kwan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Walter, because there are connections with my other content, like my video on ‘why you should iron your jeans’ or the one on ‘classic vs. skinny chinos’. Some people even requested this tutorial. My method is also different from other peoples, which I find easier.
      I’m open to requests and suggestions if you have a topic you’d like me to cover.
