Dorman Intake manifold is like installing a check engine light po 300-301 because the intake runners is shorter than factory and I know from experience on my 04 mustang GT automatic dark shadow gray the check engine light was on all the time even after I cleared the code it comes right back on so I had buy a factory intake and no more check engine light
My 2006 Crown Victoria had a brand new Dorfman intake on it when I bought it back in 2014 and it was already leaking at the front drivers side corner and back passenger side corner at the 2 year mark. They are junk and plus you lose 23HP. Now ford doesn't make the intakes anymore and most people are forced to use them. I bought a couple of the Ford intakes one to replace the Dorfman and I put the other one up for a spare down the road if I need it. They all have the problem with the heater hose nipple breaking off (even the Ford one).
I believe I read on another social media post Ford is going to release a date in the future for the factory intake again not sure if that’s the case not sure where that person got their information
@@nathanlopez5667 Dorman intakes will get you by in a pinch but they are really inferior I got so lucky in finding my OEM replacement Dormans are temporary fixes
I provided a link where I bought mine sadly those that have tried to order was unsuccessful the intakes seem to be not be manufactured by ford anymore 😢

@@AllPistonsGarage Dang, discontinued. Well, I'll start with replacing the gaskets and see if that helps. I also picked up a PI one from a junk yard. If the gasket doesn't work on my current one, I'll put in the used intake manifold with the new gaskets.

Yes! Thanks for sharing the information and thanks so much for watching
I see there’s a block off for the coolant temp sensor, how’d you go about that?
