awesome this is what I've been needing but I've watched about 10 vids on leak finding and this is the only one to mention this tool, vs other more labor intensive or expensive smoke methods. My car has about 7 different problems and I'm hanging by a thread living out of my car and broke so I'm hoping this will help some. My main issue right now is when I put it in gear there is no power from the pedal and it wants to stall. I can only go about 2 miles an hour although if I get on a slight downhill then it will start speeding up. This problem is worse when the engine is warm. I cleaned the MAF yesterday but that did nothing. Hyundai Sante Fe 2009 2.7

I Made my own Smoke Tester it's very easy to make all you Need is a Windshield wiper fluid Pump and 2 Pieces of Rubber Hose for the Inlet and the Outlet and an Electric Vape Pen Works really Well. 👍

Would spray one squirt of Liquid wrench penetrating oil inside the plunger barrel to minimize plunger binding and handle stripping threads and pulling out. Would also turn handle one turn clockwise.

Very nice! I have a 1450 that still mows like new after 48 years. Check the rubber engine mounts. You can use stud type shock bushings to replace them. That was a wear item that usually is never replaced.

Mine was a bad driver side door pin. I sprayed wd40 in the door latch and no more dead battery.

Many thanks for sharing this idea. I have a P0441 code and decided to look for the leak. I must not have done it right as I only saw smoke coming from the air intake/filter area. I'll get some more cigars and try again.

I used that pump but went to Dollar store and got a mason jar and some cone incense. I put about 5 in the jar and smoked the hell out that leak lol

Sad really :( just another private graveyard for so many really rare old engines, tractors and machines. Some of that stuff really deserves preserving better. I have seen so many of these hoarded collections over the years where its just left to rot and is no longer enjoyed or appreciated.

Can one do this to find oil leaks also?

Should pump clean air through the system when your done to clear it out. That lingering smoke will settle and leave a sticky tar residue all over everything.
