Loved this video. I am making progress thanks to your somatic safety method. Living life, Doing exercise, feeling safer while feeling the disregulation, emotions in a safe way. My nervous system is more flexible now.. I know that I am on the right track and I totally agree with what you are saying in this video. Somatic tracking and brain retraining are not enough sometimes... Thanks Tanner. You are the best!
Wow, I feel like your content can really finally get me somewhere. I have chronic pelvic pain after having a medical procedure, and my biggest issue is fear of pain, as well as fear that I might actually have an illness. I am trying to constantly convey safety to my brain, stay confident that its neuroplastic, but this video made me realize my nervous system is more disregulated than I thought because of how long this pain has lasted, and that's probably something I also should work on.
Since watching your videos my dizziness and fatigue has become much better. I'm also having less heart palpations. I am praying that soon it will also have an impact on my visual disturbances.
I really like your videos and I find your somatic approach the most helpful. I personally started with PRT and nervous system regulation only, and I got a bit of progress. Slowly, I noticed that the way I approach my symptoms is the same I approach life and myself: the anger, the perfectionism (“I want my symptoms to go away in a specific timeline, etc”), the control I have with my symptoms, are the same mechanisms I also have in my life in general. I made huge progress, I hope I will fully heal!
Thanks Tanner. You have given me so much hope. I listen to one of your videos every day. You are 'spot on' with your approach and really understand the whole mind body syndrome. I am looking into signing up for your digital programme. I live in the UK. I envy the lucky Canadians who can have a one to one with a therapist from your practice!
really well explained, thank you. In the ME/CFS-recovery community, brain retraining has been so hyped over the past year that it is fast becoming 'the one and only solution'. It results in just what you say: people experiencing the hope-failure cycle once again & just getting more discouraged - really not what we need. So thank you for the encouraging variety of approaches!
Thank you! Im having such a hard time with trauma and my Elderly mother is retriggering... My flight goes off the chart, then sadness and shut down. Any flight special? I joined ur community but been busy with trying to be slow and gentle.. Not the perfect silent witness... Yet 😊
There is an element I don't recall hearing or reading about when discussing PRT. And that is how to assess pain that wakes you up at night. Does it suggest more genuine somatic injuries - or could it also be an expression of neuroplastic pain - or what are your thoughts?
This can potential be an association of pain with sleep, and can very much be potentially neuroplastic. This is a common association I support people in breaking.
@@painpsychotherapy Thank you very much for your answer. Which I understand to mean that even (experienced) pain that wakes you up at night can be neuroplastic - because we already have many associations and connections to this experienced pain?
I feel healing by myself feels complicated and frustrated 😢i would like to consult with you tanner ,bt your team can't able to consult to India , I'm having all issues like yours what you have said in your STORY, Please help me 🙏🏼
Sorry to hear about your symptoms. Yes, unfortunately we are able to due to regulations l. You can checkout this directory: painreprocessingtherapy.com
Thank you. Now I am beginning to understand why brain retraining hasn’t been enough for me, and why I still struggle with feeling shut down.
💚💚 Keep going!
What further strategies are you going to try?

Love your videos Tanner. Do you think at any point you might be able to work one to one with people based in the uk?
Unfortunately not due to regulations. You can checkout this directory: painreprocessingtherapy.com
Thank you Tanner. That’s a shame. I’ll take a look at the list.
Can I create a social safety, without leaving unsatisfaying partnership?
This is potential, however can take some exploring depending on each situation. So sorry to hear what you are going through.
Very good!! But how do you face trauma? In the same way you get in touch with your emotions?
Yes, this is possible by activating the sensations in our body by thinking about or talking about a trauma memory. This is best done with a therapist.
