I've had 3 oppos and loved the 2 cheap ones as were great deals. So got one of the more expensive ones and it was lacking compared to other brands in features but one's I didn't care about so was fine. But then they abandoned it so it only got 1 android update, 3 months after its release while still on shelves. So less than a year after I got it, was old and their customer service response was an absolute joke. Will never buy them again. Know Samsung are not angels but at least they update models for 4 years. I liked the pop up cam instead of hold punch and The underscreen finger print scanner was also best I've used. Credit where it's due but the lack of updates was unacceptable, especially as big changers had been made in android with auto and few other features. 1 update, 15 months into it's life would have kept me happy."

@@yourfaceistube The MAIN thing both my wife and I daily marvel at is the OPPO photo quality, especially the 'Potrait' mode. It's light years better than iPhone in both of our opinions. Nothing at all that we miss from the Iphone. The foldable feature I initially thought was a bit of a marketing gimmick but as soon as you migrate to a foldable phone you realise it's extremely practical. When you need the device to be small (when you store it) it's smaller than a normal phone, but when you need the device to be big (a screen when you're using it) you get that as well unfolded. I can't imagne anyone wouldn't agree the OPPO is an upgrade from the IPhone.

I can't wait to see where manufacturers go with this tech, everyone is currently playing follow the leader, as far as it was Samsung who brought the first production set of foldable screens to the market.
The next innovation of this tech is going to be truly great. I have the fold 3 and everyone I show it to all are under the impression that the screen will split or break and are surprised by how durable it really is. So, I see this round of foldable to be more of a "proof of concept", to change people's mindset. The ski's the limit after that!

This looks like a great evolution of the format. It seems weird to me that you didn't even mention Motorola, since they are the ones with a usable outside screen and actually the Oppo's hinge mechanism looks almost identical in principle as the Razr's. I must say I was disappointed to see how limited the outside screen of the Find N2 Flip is, even as spacious as it is. The outside screen on the Razr is the best feature for me - I use for everything from productivity timing and texting to background youtube playing (when I care mostly just about the sound). Hopefully they give the outside screen on the Oppo more abilities. The outside screen is the worst downside of the Z-Flip.

Everybody is calling this the main disadvantage of this model and somebody has already made a third party mod. "Keeping it simple" is BS and it's just the manufacturer's excuse for not taking the time to prepare the support. All of the Motorolas have the option to use the outer screen and while some apps may not work, most do.

How long did you have your Flip 3. And how is it looking rn compared to when you bought it. Still a bit nervous about the part wherever the screen folds.

Hopefully a future update let's you switch between simple and full features on the cover screen. I'd use the heck out of that for one hand messaging quickly

      Not happening on this phone.
Oppo already stated that the outer screen is meant to be simple just for widgets.

I have this phone, it a nice feeling unit but the small screen isnt as intuitive to set up as i would have hoped. In all it feels like a bit of a gimmick. Dont get me wrong, i came from an Oppo Find X3 Pro so know the brand and i like their products .... Its just the flip phone doesnt move the game on in any great way. Only had it a few days so plenty more exploring to do and maybe i will come to appreciate it more.

Finally a better flip phone. I'll still wait for couple generations tho..until it has reasonable price or sturdier inside flex screen.

The thorny issue to all flip phone is the crease and its eventual lifespan. You can spin it however you want but it's the whole problem.

Would you recommend this over the razr 2022 ?

    • @dragonforcegaming7555

Definitely. Why pay a more for a flip phone a Brand like Motorola which is reputated at not providing updates ? Seriously Zflip 4 is cheaper than Razr 2022.
However if you live in the states, your best pick would be Zflip 4 and if you are someone who wants to run apps on a larger cover screen, then only consider Razr.
