Strong work, TK. This is the first foldable that I would be interested in owning. I'd use this on a vacation where I wanted to travel light and carry only one device to leave both the phone and tablet home. Love the green color.
FYI Golden ratio is an actual mathematical ratio. 1.6180..... It's not a marketing term created by Oppo. It's considered the most aesthetically pleasaing ratio for a rectangle and was invented 2000 years ago. Check it out on wikipedia. Nice review!
I really liked the Oppo Find N from videos and reviews, though didn't actually use it. The Find N2 looks even better, I hope they make it available globally this time
I like from this device that is a different approach to foldables, smaller when closed and big enough while open, hopefully it will be worldwide available

I think OPPO Find N2 is shows the RIGHT way about foldable devices to go on. No gap hinge, Rightful golden ratio (you don't have to rotate phone in large mode!!), very nice outer display that can be used in almost normal using. I've used Z Fold 3 about 6 months, but I don't have now. It has some kind of uncomfortable things. So I sold it used market. And now, I want Find N2. Look at beautiful ratio and performance and camera. They give phone with 'case' even!!! BTW, what a great review TK. Hopefully OnePlus brings this to the US later this year or Google implements something similar to the Oppo's Find N2 with their Pixel Fold. Samsung needs some serious competition here to get them to change their folds to be more like this.
If it's water resistant, optimize in social media apps and optimize ui then I think they should release it globally so that Samsung have competitor atleast for foldable devices. P.S Technology is so beautiful 💙
So yes, all of those things will need to be addressed for them to be in the international market. This right now is optimized to run in China again. We're looking at hardware that wasn't intended to be available for us to buy outside of China. All of those things that you're asking for in your mentioning are going to be things they need to focus on before releasing it for us to be able to use it. Where apps that don't exist in China will need to be optimized for again, Instagram is not an application that they use and of course there are other applications that they do use. Like TikTok actually is optimized to run on this format for some reason
this actually one of the best foldable on the market compare to other brand just because the form factor alone. ALso up coming pixel fold will have similar size to this.
Great content as always. Glad the disclaimer was put in at the end. It seems like Oppo is trolling the U.S. market with all these great phones. I won't import another expensive Oppo phone until I know things like group texting works. Come on OnePlus, give us these foldables.

For me, this is the only correct execution of foldable phone concept. This is the perfect size for it, plus there’s no gap when closed. Now if they could add some degree of water resistance, that would be amazing.

This does look great. I would have loved to see Kindle on here, just to get an idea of what it's like for reading and maybe some Netflix or other videos to see what viewing would be like. I wonder if one day we will see an international version of one of their foldables.
I always turn the fold sideways when I use it to get it to the right width. but all I want is options in the US so that we get Sammy to give us some of the new displays they make. they make this display for OPPO.
Is it still made for the Chinese market? So it's optimized for Chinese applications and application developers in that market will always prioritize these devices since it's not available internationally. No optimizations has been done for international the applications like Instagram, you know the Twitter and some of those other applications, but I will say that this will need to be worked on before they release it internationally. So hopefully that's in the plans for them

Although I will say there is one flaw in the hardware, the speaker position. They could have spaced one of them on the top and one at the bottom. It would give a better stereo experience and the dolby atmos surround sound experience.

Right now for me, the only thing I'm able to use is OPPO share , that seems to work just as well as nearby share, but I think it's more of a licensing and Google not releasing that feature in China yet, as well as the assistant not being a popular or supported feature there

Yes I have, I get my twitter and instagram DM and message notifications just fine. I am not sure if they are instant or delayed but I get them and can respond to them
I haven't had a chance to test it out but the app does install and I'm able to add my credit card and authenticate it to my bank so it seems like with NFC it should work

Hi TK...I have the find n original... having updated to color os 13 the inner screen is replicating the outer screen...its way to bunched for a much larger screen...if I manually move the apps to make it more like a tablet it then also moves the apps on the outer screen over several pages... I've been through every setting several times but with no luck,any ideas...ps it all worked fine on os 12.
I really like this cell but I'm not sure if I will buy it. I'm leaning towards the Vivo X90 Pro Plus. Currently I have the OnePlus 8 Pro. The N 2 camera system is improved but obviously can't truly complete with flagship slab phones. I do like the size, just wish it was a little thinner.
X90 Pro plus is a completely camera centric phone. So if you are a person who focuses on cameras then you should get that. But if you want a complete package then it will be better to wait for Find X6 pro. That's expected to knock Samsung on their head this time.
I wouldn't mind a slightly thicker flagship phone with 6500-7000mh batteries with that sweet 100+ watt charging. Would probably need a new one every 2 years, but still
TK, have you been able to get your messages and notifications normally, or have their been delays sometimes or missed notifications? I'm kinda interested in this phone because of the size for one, and to try a folding phone that isn't a flip.
So this is ColorOS 13 I get the notifications but I have only had this guy for a week so no issues yet. I would say they delayed a little with Gmail yes but instagram and twitter work for me.
I'm looking for a replacement for my Mate 20X, it got blacklisted. Still the best device I have ever owned and it has no equal. It's 7.2 inches, how can this one only be 7.1? Since all the new phones are too narrow I have become interested in a foldable. The only way I'm going to be able to get the size I want. Bought a Note 20 ultra 5g and it's just too small. Curved screen, fingerprint, face unlock all are not good. My Mate is irreplaceable, people with big hands are just out of luck.
