box art green angels look so dumb, thats not dark, these are bright angels. i hate eavy metal painting.
the highlights are way too bright.
and yet you clicked on an 'Eavy Metal painting guide
@@InfernalBrush💀💀💀💀
yeah, thats why they are on the cover of Boxes around the world, cuz they are dumb. Get real man
Aww boo hoo poor baby. So sad
I mean, you could just go and paint some Black Templars then?
Hey everyone, this is a much older Patreon video which I've decided to make public! It's a long one and I fully cover how to paint everything, even the base! Enjoy and happy holidays!
I wish you had the info on your website as a magazine or book. I would definitely buy one even though the internet is free
@@lanesteele240and it could be Called Infernal Dwarf 🤪
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🥂🍗🎅🏻
Thanks so much for this! I love your content even if it's unachievable 😂
Thank you so much!!
You can say what you want about eavy metal but I'm convinced it played a way larger part in making games workshop the biggest miniature company in the world than people realize.
Bro you're a robot, that brush control is not human!
This might be the best painting tutorial on TH-cam, thank you so much for this!
Man is fitting 4 highlights on a parts of armom i'm not even abble to aim precisely with my brush at... nice.
Man, your brush precision is out of this world. Thank you for sharing on YT
I think, for me personally, the layer of moot green creates a bit too much of a bright, glowy effect on the mini, but that's just personal preference, and I really appreciate the tutorial and your careful explanation of your process; thank you! I'd be curious to see what you think of those new bodyguard units they revealed on Christmas; it seems like they've changed up their forumla?
I've never seen a miniature and thought 'absolutely beautiful'
Amazing how much impact those little dots of white have
Thank you! I’ve been looking for long form videos like this! It’s actually helped me a lot because I’ve always gravitated towards the Eavy Metal style.
Thanks for making this available. Great work
Beautiful finish. Thanks for posting it.
Incredible work as always 🔥 🔥 🔥
I love your long from videos! I learn so much and find them extremely motivating. Thanks for sharing these tips!
Brilliant work as usual Dave! Thanks for sharing!!! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!!!
That was incredibly useful. Very nice to see a longer video with a lot of the work shown. Extremely helpful. Thank you.
Brilliant job as always! Your work is so informational and detailed. Keep up the great work dude!
Thanks heaps for releasing the vid! There's so many bit of info im going to try an apply! Cheers
As usual an absolutely amazing tutorial from a master painter ! Thank you very much !
This was absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much. It's both an incredible lesson and also just beautiful to watch this develop. Amazing skills.
Thank you for your work and for sharing the video, your time is valuable.
Cheers Dave for this Xmas treat, great stuff!
Fantastic video! And big props for using ArbitorIan's music
Best tutorials on TH-cam! A legendary brush.
Thanks so much for your amazing content !
You're a damn genius for posting this during the DA Christmas stuff, I'll admit it motivated me to make them my second army
Great tutorial Dave, just in time for the up and coming Dark Angels release.
Yes! First legion baby! Dude you should make like a combat patrol of them dark angels if you ever have spare time. Your guides always bring a lot of painting insight. thank you.
Looks incredible. Though I'll never develop the patience for this level of edge highlighting, had to sub.
Fantastic Tutorial!
Great job as usual 👏
Huzzah!! Merry Christmas Infernal and everyone
Love your longer videos! The music is on point 👍🏽👍🏽🔥🙌🏽
Wow that is superb!
Amazing work
thanks a lot dave ! great work
Well I guess this is going to be my go to turtorial for paiting Dark Angels.
Awesome timing since GW just revealed a bunch o new dark Angels models, wonderful christmas gift ^^
Really love this series. Imma try it on my first sergeant. Thanks for the amazing tutorials, man! Merry Christmas!
(I got some minis via your link as well!)
Thank you and a very Merry Christmas to you too!
Gorgeous paint job probably will use a trimmed down version for my army but I do want to work on some individual display pieces for contests etc
Amazing work thanks for this great video
Wow insanely good
Tremendous job. 👌
Bro that is super impressive.
Absolutely bang on
Could you do a video on your process for gluing together your pieces after being painted? I really want to learn how before I attempt it.
A straight up master class.
Dark Angels are my alltime favorite faction and I've been a huge fan since third edition. I really wish GW would do away with the Red Bolters and go back to Silver/Black.
If you look at the 1999 Dark Angels codex, that's what they should look like. They started putting way too much red into the designs and just made it look corny.
Regardless, watching you paint is a real treat. You have an amazing amount of talent. Thank you for this video.
This is arguably the best painting style for displaying miniatures.
This is absolutely the best tutorial I’ve ever seen when it comes to miniature painting. I look forward to subscribing on Patreon.
This has helped me out I'm beginner thanks
Awesome video!
Thank you Ariel!
I think you are awesome for making these videos
Thank you!
I'd love to see a video on Crimson Fists or Flesh Tearers! Keep up the great work!
Another brilliant tutorial. Eavy metal dark angels tutorial for the algorithm.
Love your videos, if you have any time it would be sweet to see you do a night lords scheme when the kill team comes out!
The night lords video is on the patreon.
Hi ! Amazing work and technics ! Thanks for sharing, I'll be pleased to see you paint some Drukhari
Outstanding work like usual my friend! Now i only wish you would do a nice paint vid of the 30k Lion el johnson. /wink
MASTERCLASS!
This is such a good guide.. I've always wanted to try to paint DAs and I think this could be my guide!
Does Infernal ever say which brushes he uses? They look incredible
Quick note, the Chest symbol on space Marines isn't an aquila! The Aquila is the double headed eagle, this space marine has what is called an Imperialis.
Love your work bro!😎🤙 would you make in the future How to paint sons of horus like the box art? Merry Xmas!
I love this! Could we maybe get a tutorial for Ogor mawtribes from the age of sigmar range? would be really nice to see how you paint skin on them
Thank you so much for this! I've been waiting for a while for the DAs E'vay Metal. Personally, I still think moot is just too bright. I may try a 50/50 Moot with Warp Stone as 3rd highlight and just a tiny amount of pure moot or Moot + white on sharp corners.
i adore how clean this is!
I have to ask though, how do you paint with such a light background? It darkens everything in front of it.
Super neat, using the official recipe but the final product is much better than the official one!
The Lion is pleased 🦁
Another solid tutorial! btw may I know which gamer grass did you use in this video?
Lets goooooo
haha thank you man! I'm a big fan of your lore videos
@@InfernalBrush Cheers man! I've been looking for a really good DA tutorial and ended up here
Love the video. Do you by chance have a eavy metal style Space Wolf video on your Patreon?
Very nice video as always.
Do you think it could be possible to apply the Lion painting scheme to the rest of the army.
If so, would you change it?
What brushes do you use? I just got into the hobby and the ones you showed have such and strong tip! I'm in the highlighting stage for my intercessors right now and um having a hard time keeping it precise and skinny!
Absolutely great to see you do more space marine legions. Are you planning on more Horus Heresy as well?
I would love to when the assault marines come out, they are some great looking miniatures!
Awesome work, love how good that "Tron glow" act over a Dark Angels armour, it gives it a lot personality to it😁
One question, if I heard well, you said that you are using a single 0 brush and even a 1, Right? Do you have any trick to hold the tip solid? I have tried with brush from several prices and all of them has a soft tip so things like you do, using the tip of the brush as if were "a pencil" is unthinkable to me 😅
Awesome video! I would love to know how to setup my wet palette to look like yours as you have so many years of experience in painting.
Keep up the great videos, they are fantastic to watch!
What type of paper do you use? I use Rynolds baking parchment as an alternative to the paper that comes with the pallet as I find this much better and cheaper.
@@InfernalBrush Using the redgrass gaming wetpallete with their paper that goes with it
I use an A4 document folder with spontex for the sponge. Then either standard white baking paper or a special baking sheet I got from Home Bargains which has tiny holes in it and actually keeps the paint wet.
@@rightonkeww757 That's an amazing wet pallette, much better than other I have tried.
fantastic work mate, aslso what was the first two songs? love em. cheers from downunder!
It goes without saying that your work is absolutely amazing, thank you for producing this tutorial. Can I ask roughly how long it took you to paint this marine?
They take around 2 or so days each in the studio, a little bit longer with recording it
Amazing paint job! what brushes did you use for this?
Hey, great job! How many hours does painting one of these minis to this level of quality take you? :)
thanks for this! have you found an alternative to WSG yet?
@InfernalBrush This may seem like a basic question, but what exactly are you using to affix the models to the cork?
Would you suggest adding a second layer of PVA anywhere? I find if I try to overbrush or drybrush that some sand ends up coming up off the base. What's your advice to prevent this? Thanks!
Hey man great tutorials! I've got a question/issue. When I try to do the finest highlights my paint almost immediately dries on the tip of my brush and it doesn't flow smoothly. Idk if its low humidity in my room or paint not being properly thinned or an issue with my water or what. Ii am uusing a wet pallet and do thin my paint quite a bit. Can you give me some advice?
What size of Windsor and Newton Kolinsky MINIATURE Sable Brush is best?
Sorry just listened again, you say size 0 or 1, thanks.
That looks difficult, but great. Just one question, especially when you get to the gun metal metallics, why not dry brush the edges?
How do you attach the papirclip on the arms?
Excellent Dave 👍 question, how'd you apply chips / scratches?
Hello, you can apply scratches using warpstone glow followed by the moot green then moot green/ushabti stage in smaller amounts. I will try to do a video on this topic in future
Is it possible to have the compilation of the music you used on the video ? xD
What brand of sand does he use for the base?
awesome job dude! Do you have a list of brushes that you use? I know you mentioned it in the video but wondered if you had any links
Artis opus have a website. Windsor and newton series 7 same. Rosemarie and co is similar to Artis opus. Just google their names and the websites will pop up.
bonjour je viens de voir ta vidéo qui est génial et j'aimerai savoir quel pinceau tu utilise?merci d'avance infernal
Hey what brush were you using for that first highlight? The shape and size looked way different to my normal W&N brushes? Really impressive tutorial I’ll be looking out for more
I think it was just a slightly newer Winsor and Newton Miniature Series 7 Brush, likely a size 1 or 2. Thanks for watching!
Do you think thay this green would look good for the new striking scorpions?
Painted up my Azrael with this tutorial, still can't quiet get that super thin final highlight just yet tho. Also just curious, I don't have a twitch account but I see you painting an NMM terminator chaplain and I was wondering if you were planning on doing an NMM tutorial in the future?
Yes sometime in the new year. Thank you for watching and supporting!
Is the footage slightly sped-up. Even if it is, something I think I’m learning from you to get good edge highlights is to go thinner than I might expect, and slightly faster to avoid shake, with repeated coats to build coverage.
Pfffff, i'll try It, but your brush control... Seriusly, 😮, i would like paint almost a miniatule like yours... Its amaizing, thanks for yt It, master
You probably get this question a lot but what are you using to suspend the model? is it cork and thin metal?
This is killer. Lion tutorial next in the DA series? 😉
Thank you.I hope so!
Great job man, thank you
Hey Dave! Quick question, seeing you subassemble, what glue do you use to assemble the mini itself? I know plastic cement is almost a must on the base-body connection, but what about the rest? Is the ability for the plastic cement to ruin the paint worth the risk? Or is super glue more recommended for the mini? I cant really figure out which is better and my current economy doesnt let me "just f around and find out"
Much appreciated!
Hello, you can use either super glue or plastic glue. However if using plastic glue it's best practice to scratch the paint slightly at the connection point or mask it prior using blutac/masking tape for a stronger adhesion. Also be extremely careful with thinner plastic glues like Tamiya extra thin as it can run over the paint work if not careful, I normally find using a thicker plastic glue applied with a paperclip/piece of wire, the same can be done for superglue. This minimizes the risk of mistakes or getting glue where you don't want it
W&N Series 7 Miniature, but which number? 00?
