1.He might have created a potion like wolfsbane to be safe from sunlight. 2.He is great at potions, so if he need blood he dont need tge actual blood. He can make them using his potion knowledge and magic. 3.He might have become a vampire by something like lycanthropy for werewolves, after graduation.
If there is one actor who should have played Dracula, Alan is the one! I remember him as the Sherrief of Nottingham - the resemblance to Vlad Țepeș (the Impaller) is uncanny.

His dislike for light is never really explained and even when he leaves the dungeons to teach DADA ind HBP his classroom is described as dark. So, if he isn't somehow sensitive ligh, why make sure that he always teaches in a dark room? Even in the movie he shuts the shutters once he enters the room to substitute for Lupin. She probably wasn't sure about a vampire character, used certainnhints and then discarded the idea.

Being a half-giant (half-goblin like Flitwit) or any other half-half being is genetic; being a vampire or werewolf is like being infected with a virus passed on by whatever bit you. I doubt if it's possible to be half-infected. Bill acquired wolf-like characteristics when Grayback attacked him, but Finrir was in a human state, not transitioned. (HBP.) Also note that Tedy Lupin wasn't born a werewolf, as his father greatly feared.

Dhampirs have the powers of vampires but they can walk in the run without being weakened (snape isn’t shown to have a weakness to sun) and they eat normal food instead of blood. It would be much easier to hide being a half vampire since they are pretty much regular humans just with powers. That also explains why he’s so powerful if his parents were a witch and a vampire instead of a witch and a muggle.
I don't see Snape as a vampire. The main problem is one of aging. In many of the stories Vampires cease to age after becoming vampires. How this might or might not work for a wizard, I can not say. If it had happened as a child then he would still appear as a child. Though it could have happened later in life. Also if he is a vampire if known to anyone and I couldn't imagine it getting past Dumbledore it would have made him no less vulnerable than Lupen.

I don`t think he is a vampire! I think he is gifted enough to use his skills and abilities to achieve what he wants. He is probably unregistered animagus, using his ability to fly to reach distances quicker than with a broom. He is not a fan of Quidditch and brooms and flying like a bat is a kind of his mark. Remember, Snape loves to be powerful and he is adopting Voldemort`s techniques and behavior. The fact he prefers the dungeons is partly from his past mental and physical living. Also, he probably knows Nagini`s story and further experiments would trap him into an animal shape, so for that reason, he is avoiding this.
I don't think snape is a vampire because voldemort would have known, and wouldn't have trusted him enough to put him in his inner circle. just like werewolves, voldemort would have thought of vampires as inferior to him, and only used them for their abilities so that he could establish power.

He just knew how to fly...and may he was talented in transfiguration. But in books it was never mentioned that snape can turn into a bat.

I don't think snape is a vampire because voldemort would have known, and wouldn't have trusted him enough to put him in his inner circle. just like werewolves, voldemort would have thought of vampires as inferior to him, and only used them for their abilities so that he could establish power.
