In the Forbidden Forest, Firenze doesn't say it's Voldemort. He suggests that is though, and as Harry is asking Firenze if he means Voldemort, he is interrupted by Hermione calling his name. And I believe the same happened in the movie. Firenze never says Voldemort name. Also, I want to know how the Centaurs knew that Voldemort still lived. In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, chapter fifteen, The Forbidden Forest page 189 Firenze says to Harry "Can you think of nobody who has waited many years to return to power, who clung to life, awaiting their chance." (Forshadowing about Horcruxes) Showing that the Centaurs, or at let Firenze knew that Voldemort lived. Firenze even acknowledges that others believed Voldemort dead and says it Codswallop in his opinion. We don't really get confirmation that the cloaked figure is Voldemort until Harry is talking to Professor Quirrell/Voldemort.

I’m glad you mentioned how it doesn’t make sense that the punishment for Harry being late was to help Hagrid in the Forbidden Forest. It’s literally called the FORBIDDEN Forest, since it is meant to be extremely dangerous to students. And never mind that Harry was 11 at the time
The twins going back to the forest is something I want to see explored. Id always thought it would be interesting if Georgie finds the resurrection stone on accident and has a moment with Fred causing a whole sub plot of him not being able to get rid of it and Fred becoming unhappy until he has to.
1. The place was meant to deter students from being unruly. Hagrid wouldn't take them to the actually dangerous places, and he would protect them, but they would still feel fear just because of the atmosphere of the place and the darkness, that is the punishment. Hagrid took them to the area inhabited by Centaurs and Unicorns, so it was essentially just sightseeing filled with adrenaline. 2. The Forbidden forest is scary and hostile on purpose to deter people from entering. That protects them from what is inside and the creatures inside from people. Creating a barrier between the forest and the school would unwisely detach them from the surrounding world. Students should learn to coexist with the beings there, respect their territory.
We need a history of magical spell and magical types developments. What I mean is , how did the magic spells taught and known and invented get more powerful , uncontrollable and well-known they are. And how have the wizarding world created new types of magic like astronomy and elemental , how did they discover them , how did they find out the words for spells while even knowing the correct pronunciation? I hope u understand.
I've read that Lady Centaurs are very sexually active, while the Lord Centaurs are not really concerned with keeping their species going. So maybe Fred and George met some Lady Centaurs.
After hearing about how many messed up kids went to Hogwarts, maybe they should have a background check and mental health check on the students and teachers
I think that this was a great place to protect the students from muggles. People would not venture from the muggle if there was a lot of death and disappearance associated with it.
"it doesn't make sense" True, but maybe it's not supposed to make sense. The punishments seem to be chosen to teach that student a lesson they need to learn at that time, as well as keep them on their toes not knowing what kind of punishment they will get. If they know all they get is a minor punishment, a "slap on the wrist" like cleaning the trophy case or such, for breaking certain rules, then they might be more likely to break rules all the time. When the kids were roaming outside unsupervised at night, though a small chance, they were taking risks. So being sent on a mission where they must knowingly face danger in the forest, even supervised by Hagrid (& secretly the centaurs), is supposed to make them realize that this isn't the same as even just wandering inside the school. They needed a reminder that bad things can happen even to creatures that lived there all the time. When Harry gets the punishment to assist Lockhart, who needs help with his fan mail, it's because Dumbledore has told McGonagall that's what he wants. He wants Harry to spend even more time with him so that Harry can see up close how Lockhart has let his ego go out of control due to fame. Dumbledore knows that when not in front of a class that's half girls sighing over him, he will relax & be even more obnoxious. He wants Harry to be confident in what he's learned, but more importantly he wants to make sure Harry stays humble & pure of heart as much as he can. Dumbledore knows that taking down Voldemort is going to be a long, hard process & Harry will not just be in physical danger but in danger of losing faith & how important teamwork will always be because even Harry won't be able to do it alone. It takes many people to keep fighting the Death Eaters & Voldemort while Dumbledore ferrets out clues about the horcruxes & then the trio go hunting them. If not for all those people in & out of the Order of the Phoenix who stood up for what was right then Voldemort would've won before Harry could even begin his destined path to end Voldemort & stop the war.
The forest is a protection for the school. Muggles, or anyone else who shouldn't find the castle, probably get lost in there, or just stumble around in a circle until they're back where they came in at.
With regards to Barty Crouch senior walking into the Hogwarts by walking through the forbidden forest, considering he was a wizard and was was walking throuhj the forest with the intent purpose of finding both the castle and Dumbledore, he woukd see the castle for what it is, and not the ruins a muggle would see if they survived the forest.
it makes sense that the founders, 3 of the four supporting the idea that Hogwarts would be a school filled with students from many walks of life, would want the school to not be dissconnected from the muggle/outside world.
In Half-Blood Prince, Prof. Snape's confession to Harry happend near Hagrid's place. Probably symbolic as well, being that the scene happend near the edge of the forest.
I think the chamber of secrets suggested transformation is pretty weak. A stronger choice would be their opinion of hagrid, at this point they believe hagrid opened the chamber of secrets and after it dawns on them that hagrid was always innocent and he was framed 50 years ago. Also... maybe the car? Lol
I think they forbidden because it’s dangerous. So student do not allowed to go there on themselves for their own safety. But use it as penalty is okay because Hagrid is with them.
1:17 “It really doesn’t make any sense at all…“ You, like myself, are British, I assume. I left when I was eight, in 1972, but when I left they still had corporal punishment. And, I ended up going to private schools in Canada - largely run by British expat teachers - where the switch, the paddle, and the occasional judiciously-applied ruler served as punishment for anything from swearing to stealing food to bullying. So, by that logic, a grown-up beating a child with a piece of wood was punishment for being a bully. WTAF? As has been said many times by many authors and critics, fiction has to make sense, whereas reality rarely does. ps: Great videos. Keep it up. Thank you.
Harry’s only power was he inherited part of Voldemort. He looks powerful against the dark lord because Voldemort was fighting part of himself. Also Harry had ALOT of help from Friends / the school and one of the most powerful wizards of all time, Professor Dumbledore
I have three questions, so if Voldemort's power came from Harry they had the same power??? And if so Harry truly is a powerful wizard if neither Professor Mcgonagall nor Kingsley together could Does that mean Harry could beat them both?? And what if Harry received another Killing Curse? If he couldn't die while Voldemort lives, right?
I still think Harry should have let everybody in the battle have a chance to get one last goodbye with their fallen loved ones before he tossed the stone out
I think that maybe Hogwarts' staff ran the rumor of imminent danger once in the forest, so students didn't leave the castle premises through it and there, they would then be in more danger.
He mentioned that the forbidden Forest had grown as well as the number of creatures in it Maybe they turned it into some kind of natural preserve in the same way they did with the Black lake
He did not lose his connection completely when Voldemort tried to kill him again in the forbidden forest near the end of the story. Voldemort still had Harry”s blood inside him which carried Lilly”s sacrifice, which tethered Harry to life, as long as Voldemort was still alive Harry could not be killed, Voldemort became Harry”s Horcrux, but because of Harry”s self sacrifice, Voldemort could no longer harm anyone he sacrifice his life for, he couldn’t touch them. Thus Harry and Voldemort were very much connected until the very end when Voldemort”s life was taken by his own hand and by the Elder wand that would not murder Harry as he was it’s rightful owner.
I just thought of this what if the reason why Fred and George were so interested in the forbidden forest is maybe they saw voldemorts name on the map In the forest that's why they are so interested in it but they probably don't want to say anything to cause a scene for the school or issues for Dumbledore
voldemort name couldnt be in the map, the map uses a homunculus spell variation to track living human bodies, voldemort at the time didn't have a body yet.
Transgressing the rule against entering The forbidden Forest doesn’t require a punishment, entry will simply incur a consequence. A natural consequence.
After all, the forbidden forest doesnt seem so frightening If you are 2,60m tall, weigh like 400kg, have arms like car wheels and a crossbow the size of a grown man 💪😁
How are the MC and Sebastian able to use crucio on each other if you have to despise your target? I can see them wanting to inflict pain as that was the only way to survive but the hatred requisite was not meant. Is it just a plot hole? Would love a video on the slytherin lore in game
Spoilers kinda* If you lead me into a room that is then sealed both ways, I don't care if you are the mother of my children even, I WILL DESPISE YOU TILL THE DAY I DIE. So when you think about it, it becomes easy.
I interpreted it as having to have a compelling reason to use Crucio, not necessarily despising the target. In this case, the reason would be to help his sister. Similar to how Barty Crouch Jr (disguised as Mad Eye) tortured the bug in class in the 4th book. He probably didn't despise the bug, but rather his reason was to eventually manipulate Harry into the graveyard to restore Voldemort's power.
In Hogwarts Legacy, Forbidden forest is not all forest near the custle, just an area were it is dark even at daylight. I don't think they study magical beasts there, they might just study in other not forbidden part of the forest
You know, hundreds of years ago (when Hogwarts was founded), personal responsibility was more of a thing. If someone was to walk into the forbidden forest, what happened to them was their own fault. There was no reason for the founders to not consider the spot of the school for the sake of the extremely stupid.
Let's take it a step further and say the founders of Hogwarts built the school not on the edge of the Dark Forest but WITHIN the forest. Meaning the forest was much more extensive so the school grounds weren't as well defined or as large. Due to events and the passing of time both name and boundaries evolved to what we know and see today.
I would like to know since it said wormtail on the Marauder's map why didn't it say it was Barty crouch jr. Instead of Moody got any quick come back on that

If I had known I would've skipped to 12:00
A new Wand Tree, I'm guessing an Elder tree, probably grew over and around- if not from- the Resurrection Stone.
I like this!
Fred and George's interest is the same as any daring young marauder...
Lady centaurs
I've read that Lady Centaurs are very sexually active, while the Lord Centaurs are not really concerned with keeping their species going. So maybe Fred and George met some Lady Centaurs.
To be 100% honest with you, I always found this forest super soothing and cozy 🙏
There wasn't enough of Voldemort 's soul left inside him for the Dementor's Kiss to harm him.
Make a video on the legendary cursed vaults
With a name like Forbidden Forest, how can you not want to investigate?
After hearing about how many messed up kids went to Hogwarts, maybe they should have a background check and mental health check on the students and teachers
I think that this was a great place to protect the students from muggles. People would not venture from the muggle if there was a lot of death and disappearance associated with it.
"it doesn't make sense"
True, but maybe it's not supposed to make sense.
I never thought of it like that before.
Hope they explore it more in the new series.
"Hah hah spiders... Spiders... They want me to tap dance. I don't want to tap dance Harry."
An amazing video for all Potterheads!
it makes sense that the founders, 3 of the four supporting the idea that Hogwarts would be a school filled with students from many walks of life, would want the school to not be dissconnected from the muggle/outside world.
1:17 “It really doesn’t make any sense at all…“
You, like myself, are British, I assume.
Keep it up. Thank you.

His reasoning for the forest transformation themes is stretching it a bit.
“One does not simply follow the spiders.” Boromir Weasley
Making students go into the forest as a punishment should basically be considered attempted murder.
How powerful was Harry? Was he average or really powerful, or was he the beneficiary of being the focal pointe of the series.
Harry’s only power was he inherited part of Voldemort. He looks powerful against the dark lord because Voldemort was fighting part of himself. Also Harry had ALOT of help from Friends / the school and one of the most powerful wizards of all time, Professor Dumbledore
He couldn’t hold himself against regular death eaters in the Deathly Hallows so he’s not v that powerful compared to other wizards
We need more. What lies beyond the forest and how far does it go in every direction?
Rowling said the ministry covers the tuition of all students. Best way to cut that cost? Put the school next to a deadly enchanted forest
Magical forests are also present in C.S. Lewis' writings as well as J.R.R. Tolkien's writings, and not to forget many ancient myths including Homer.
Most awesome vid!!!!!
The 1970s is when James and Lily were at school now I really want them to make a marauders show
History of professor quirrell? Not sure if that’s been a subject yet
This is an awesome and super unique video idea!!
I still think Harry should have let everybody in the battle have a chance to get one last goodbye with their fallen loved ones before he tossed the stone out
Knowing the twins personality they were interested because it was the "forbidden" forest lol
The best transaction was the car. From old banger to force of nature!
I think that maybe Hogwarts' staff ran the rumor of imminent danger once in the forest, so students didn't leave the castle premises through it and there, they would then be in more danger.
He mentioned that the forbidden Forest had grown as well as the number of creatures in it
Maybe they turned it into some kind of natural preserve in the same way they did with the Black lake
You give me a forest I'm going into it. Simple.
Guess i would get lots of detentions at Hogwart
This video was great
I like how you mentioned the story of the mobile game hogwarts mystery lol. I’ve been playing it for over a year 😅
in the movies you never learn much about harrys grandparents
You should do a video on goblin magic and their magical abilities
Please do the black lake!
Interesting topic
I don’t think the map tracks the forest
13:51
Do you mean…..😂😂😂
👌 One does not simply walk into the dark forest xD? 👌
Filch did say they used to have torture chambers to punish the kids.
Spoilers kinda*
If you lead me into a room that is then sealed both ways, I don't care if you are the mother of my children even, I WILL DESPISE YOU TILL THE DAY I DIE.
So when you think about it, it becomes easy.
I think that you should add that you are talking about Legacy
History starts at 12:07
Imagine if the resurrection stone was or could somehow be incorporated into a wand
From whence do you get the early history of the forest?
Hagrid: Let go in to the forbidden forest
Harry and his friend: Forbi-WHAT
I can see it being forbidden forest to protect the students
In the first movie, it was Ron not that went into the forest, not Neville-if I remember correctly!
Book vs Movie liberties.
13:55 The Forbidden Forest IS the barrier.
I would like to know since it said wormtail on the Marauder's map why didn't it say it was Barty crouch jr. Instead of Moody got any quick come back on that
