About the meaning, it's very personal song to the singer (Tatiana), about her dual personality, depression and difficult reltionships with her father (Neptun's child) and men in her life (handsome butchers). Thanks for this reaction. I absolutely love Jinjer. The crazy thing is, this song doesn't even show Tatiana's full range. This is one of their least heavy songs, not a fantastic representation of their normal sound. It's the song that has the real "omg" reaction because it's done so well. I'd like to recommend their song Teacher Teacher, I think you'll like it.

You guys' reaction was priceless 😁😂 I think it's so far the best reaction I've seen when Tatiana switches from clean vocals to Growl vocals. I love what faces the girl made when that happened. If you wanna see another female growling vocalist I strongly suggest checking out the band Arch Enemy. She's not as good but still worth checking out.

Such a great song, I actually had my Pisces Jinjer shirt on today, plus I’m a Pisces. I strongly recommend reacting to the “Perennial” official video, “Teacher Teacher” official video, live video for “outlander”, and the live video for “who is gonna be the one” 🤘🏼
Tatiana ( the vocalist) has Pisces as her Zodiac sign . She wrote this song after her father died and coming out of a depression, it's about her struggle with herself, she has a very self-destructive side and also a side that loves life. the chorus lyrics are usually written as Blaze, but I still believe it's Belies (Scale Armour Belies, Virgin innocence) Beneath her outside (scaled, fish scales) armour is a vulnerable woman. 'Neptune's child shivering inside' is her the 'drowns in the liquid gold, is something I still don't really understand, but "Cherish his life to the underworld refers to her father (symbolically neptune) dying. The last bit I interpret as her often falling for the wrong men, she's searching for love, but they just cut her up with callous hands, 'Under the hands of handsome butchers', the men she finds are handsome but they are not nice men 'Emeralds are ripped away' Her fish scales are being ripped away by this. There is probably more that I am missing, Tatiana is an amazing lyricist but she does use a LOT of symbolism so sometimes the meaning is obscure. Hope this helps Also Pisces is a great song, but the rest of their oevre is imo better (and more metal). In other songs you can also see how good the rest of the band is Eugene is an amazing bassist. Vlad always kills it on the drums. and Roman (guitar) plays heavy ass riffs .

They are fantastic live. I saw them last November in Sturdivant, Wisconsin. They were all incredibly kind and humble too which made them that much more special to me. She is a very sweet woman.
William Duckett However, many bands have a few songs (sometimes just one) that people who aren’t generally fans of that genre like. It doesn’t follow that just because someone likes Pisces, means they will also like the majority of Jinjer’s other songs. For me, most of their songs are too screamy, whereas I’d imagine, for many long time Jinjer fans, Pisces is not screamy enough. Tatiana has a really nice clean voice, and personally, this balance of clean, melodic voice that you could clearly pick out the excellent musicianship over, counterpointed by the screaming, was a great balance. The filming and colouring of the Live Session video was also excellent, so always happy to re-watch it.
@@markparker5585 I agree with everything you said. I also stand by my statement, "most Jinjer fans". That's in no way meant to be a definitive all encompassing rule for all listeners. As for my opinion, they literally don't have a bad song. I at least "like" everything they've written.
I miss reactions on this channel. Very well thought out and articulate analysis. Jinjer is an amazing band. This song might not even be in their top 10 songs. But it is the song that helped them break out worldwide.

Of all the channels that have done this song, you 2 get the trophy for the best reaction. That was epic! If you are going to do another Jinjer song, I would recommend Captain Clock. Tatiana ( the vocalist) has Pisces as her Zodiac sign . She wrote this song after her father died and coming out of a depression, it's about her struggle with herself, she has a very self-destructive side and also a side that loves life. the chorus lyrics are usually written as Blaze, but I still believe it's Belies (Scale Armour Belies, Virgin innocence) Beneath her outside (scaled, fish scales) armour is a vulnerable woman. 'Neptune's child shivering inside' is her the 'drowns in the liquid gold, is something I still don't really understand, but "Cherish his life to the underworld refers to her father (symbolically neptune) dying. The last bit I interpret as her often falling for the wrong men, she's searching for love, but they just cut her up with callous hands, 'Under the hands of handsome butchers', the men she finds are handsome but they are not nice men 'Emeralds are ripped away' Her fish scales are being ripped away by this. There is probably more that I am missing, Tatiana is an amazing lyricist but she does use a LOT of symbolism so sometimes the meaning is obscure. Hope this helps
Also Pisces is a great song, but the rest of their oevre is imo better (and more metal). In other songs you can also see how good the rest of the band is Eugene is an amazing bassist. Vlad always kills it on the drums. and Roman (guitar) plays heavy ass riffs .
Yes I agree. Im quite certain the lyric is belies too, as ive read somewhere else. I didnt know about her father passing but i beleive you are spot on in the interpretation of the lyrics.
Welcome to the Jinjer world!, Been listening to them a few years and you need to watch their live stuff. Jinjer- Teacher Teacher is amazing live, Tatiana is fucken amazing. I've never been really shocked to much when it comes to metal and probably because I've been a headbanger since birth but Tatiana has the gift and she and the band will be rockin us for years. Metal has been around since the 70s. It has changed so much. But one thing always remains true and that is the way this genre is viewed by "outsiders" "It's just noise and screaming." But Metal is one of the deepest, most complex and emotional type of music rivaled only by classical and orchestral music. (In my opinion)

They are fantastic live. I saw them last November in Sturdivant, Wisconsin. They were all incredibly kind and humble too which made them that much more special to me. She is a very sweet woman.

Most Jinjer fans will agree, that "Pisces" is a great introduction, but it is far from their best. I don't even have it in my top 10.
William Duckett However, many bands have a few songs (sometimes just one) that people who aren’t generally fans of that genre like. It doesn’t follow that just because someone likes Pisces, means they will also like the majority of Jinjer’s other songs. For me, most of their songs are too screamy, whereas I’d imagine, for many long time Jinjer fans, Pisces is not screamy enough. Tatiana has a really nice clean voice, and personally, this balance of clean, melodic voice that you could clearly pick out the excellent musicianship over, counterpointed by the screaming, was a great balance. The filming and colouring of the Live Session video was also excellent, so always happy to re-watch it.
@@markparker5585 I agree with everything you said. I also stand by my statement, "most Jinjer fans". That's in no way meant to be a definitive all encompassing rule for all listeners.
As for my opinion, they literally don't have a bad song. I at least "like" everything they've written.

I miss reactions on this channel. Very well thought out and articulate analysis. Jinjer is an amazing band. This song might not even be in their top 10 songs. But it is the song that helped them break out worldwide.

Of all the channels that have done this song, you 2 get the trophy for the best reaction. That was epic! If you are going to do another Jinjer song, I would recommend Captain Clock. Some other female lead bands are as follows: In This Moment, Arch Enemy, Halestorm, Pretty Reckless, Icon for Hire, Kobra and the Lotus, Unleash the Archers.

By the way: she is describing what is Piscis in horoscope meaning. That is: we are everything, but in flow, constantly changing, evolving, thats why is difficult for us to mantain our word (don't rely on me and I won't decive). We know well the two sides of the coin, cause is what we are. Usually shy (skittish) but strong, we live in our inner world (underworld), cause is difficult for the others to understand us and we feel more confortable with our own thoughts than dealing with others. But in order to know what is life, we must go out and suffer (the sun beam).
