On a separate note, some products that I'd like to see as a GR86 owner is some interior accessories to add color to the admittedly sparse and almost completely black interior. Just like some stick on bits and garnishes for areas like the vents in colors like red, silver, white, or carbon fiber. Perhaps some decent looking (red + other colors) fabric seat covers and steering wheel covers made specifically for the BRZ/GR86.
The audacity of this dogwater company is pitiful. For those that don't know, Kevin Vo was fired from FT Speed on 12/13/2022 in a disgusting way. Buy your parts from somewhere else than FTSpeed or Subispeed folks; support somewhere that supports its employees and treats them with respect. An 8-year, passionate, face-of-your company employee deserves the respect and courtesy of at least a conversation being had about any conflicts of interest or things that would necessitate termination of employment if continued. To outright fire him out of the blue without giving him a heads up or notice that something he is doing/saying will not fly and deny him the ability to make an informed decision on what his options are going forward reflects poorly upon FTSpeed/Subispeed. In a game where you just play the middleman, I will gladly take my business elsewhere to some other middleman that isn't FTSpeed/SubiSpeed; there are a plethora of other options out there that can access more or less the same catalogue of items. FTSpeed/Subiespeed did Kevin Vo dirty, when Kevin Vo was a SIGNIFICANT part of why the company is as successful as it is today - hopefully yall's marketshare takes a deserving hit and Kevin lands somewhere that will treat him better and be worthy of the good-business his passion and efforts bring forth. If you enjoy content like this, look up and support Kevin Vo's personal youtube channel, where I'm sure he'll be continuing to put out excellent, valueable content without getting screwed by SubiSpeed.
Not for me, I like the shifter to be nice and close to the wheel. I doubt that the shorter throws would make shifts any faster, for me it’s the footwork that determines how quick I can shift.
Nah i thought the same. Just drove my boys frs w a short throw and BRO. Just a slight tap and its in gear. Def dont need one but when you have one its so fasf
Wait... so how much does the the arm shorten the throw?? . We didn't get to see the difference in how much shorter the arm is at the end of the shifter compared to the stock one....🤦♂️ Waste of money.
I just have one question. I’m new to modding cars so I’m don’t have all that many tools so I’m trying to figure out brands of tools to buy. What brand of plastic pry bar/trim removal tool do you use?
To folks who bash on this shifter since it's only 10% shorter, you're missing the point. And frankly the Toyota marketing department missed the point too. The point is that the shifter gives a bunch crisper feeling because it uses stiffer bushings. You don't really need a much shorter throw anyways. Ask those guys who regularly moneyshift into 2nd when they want 4th in ~80 mph corners at the track with their IRP shifters.
FT Speed has gotten so good at camera placement to show exactly what & where u remove items. U guys r probs the best at that on YT
Thanks! We try our best to make everything easy to see!
A before and after or side by side comparison clips would have been nice like how Tomas did with the ft86 short throw shifter on the 86
Will keep that in mind for the next one! The 10% is pretty subtle on the OEM STS.

thats why i love the gt86. so many things too fix in the interior too make it your own
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll relay that to our product development team!

Don't these cars come with the short throw shifter? My brand new 2018 gt black did
This kit only reduces by 10%. The billet works kit reduces by 30%
Mind making a video of changing the reverse lockout??

Dumb question can you use the sti shifter in the 86?

Wonder if you could get the dealer to do it? It's a lot more complicated than Im willing to try......
It's honestly not that complicated at all. It's very straight forward. Just gotta follow the steps in the video.
any rattaling from the shift knob? i know the gen 1s had this issue with basically any aftermarket short shifter
Yeah. My gen1 stock shifter rattled and I never modified the shifter at any point.
No rattling whatsoever.
Seriously… what a joke. The engineers had fun making this one.
Doesn’t the 22 BRZ come from factory with a short throw shifter?
No, it's an option you can spec it with.
He cute😍
That TRD shifter is a waste. Get a Billetworkz short shifter. The Trd only shortens up the throw by 10% Billetworkz 33%
Show us how remove that 💩 cover knob and add decent one
Three 15 sec commercials. Get out of here with that wack shit bruh
