GR86 gets an IRP short shifter

Today I take out the stock shift for the IRP short shifter in prep for the track.

Had one for there yrs and even with the anti rattle kit the thing still rattled. Eventually upgraded to the, more expensive but better designed and built, CAE ,and had no more rattles.

I like it but I have an STI short shifter from factory. Think it’s worth the upgrade? I don’t like the look of it honestly haha, since I like my hybrid shift knob.

What are the torque specs for the trans mount and the drive shaft bracket??

65 nm for trans 52 nm for drive shaft

Does it rattle a lot on high rpm? Thats my problem rn with mine lmk if it does (5-6500rpm)

According to forums that’s pretty normal for them but can be reduced with a few diy modifications including rubber gaskets and stuff.
