This must be the most yellow brownish Playstation console i have ever seen. Let's refurbish it by extreme cleaning and bring it back to it's original colors by Retrovaping it!

if you really want to remove all the yellowing in the PS1, use SalonCare 40 Volume, mixed into HOT (boiling) distilled water. SalonCare is over 12% peroxide, so it is more effective, and higher heats improve effectiveness of the product.
and make sure your LID on your container is CLEAR so the UV rays of the sun make it in. the lid you were using was ridged, and likely bent the light rays, diffusing the UV radiation necessary for the fumes to work effectively.
