  • Are you looking for a Charlotte Mason style language arts curriculum for your child? Do you want something that is simple and laid out in a manner that would make it easy for your child to follow and complete? I think I might have found such a curriculum here.
    I was looking for a gentle approach to teaching language arts to my two sons who are in 3rd and 4th grade, and I think that this curriculum is going to fit the bill. I was looking for something comprehensive, but also not too overwhelming. For one son, this will probably be just about enough. He picks things up easily, and he just needs to go over most things once. For my other son, I will want to supplement with some phonics and spelling. What I love about this book is that the lessons are so simple and short that it won't be hard to add in other components when we need to.

    Have you ever used any curriculum from Queen Homeschool? What did you think?

      Yes I have used one, virtues for young ladies. It’s under Bible studies. We love it. I have not purchased any language arts. My daughter loves the cursive writing as well. Is there a answer sheet in the back for the language ?

      @CalmintheChaosHomeschool  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @bethany gilbert no, you would need to order the answer key separately. I figure, at this level, I wouldn’t need one. Good question though. I think I have heard of the virtues for young ladies, but I didn’t know it was by Queen Homeschool. Thanks for sharing!

      My children are 1st and 3rd grade this year. We are using Queen Homeschool for Language Arts, handwriting and history. My boys love it. I have had no complaints about school and both are eager. Which is saying a lot since my oldest wasn't enjoying school. I love how the lessons are short and to the point. Its also easy for me to combine my boys for history. I will definitely be continuing with Queen Homeschool. It has made homeschooling so much less stressful.

      @@meganmonroe7282 Wow! Thanks for sharing! We have still not finished our current LA curriculum, but I am still eagerly anticipating using this curriculum for my boy when we get to that point. It's so great to hear about your experiences with other parts of their curriculum. Thank you!

    Thank you for flipping through! We use Queen Spelling through Copywork and Animal Copywork, I've been debating using the language lessons alongside MCT.

      I just did my curriculum picks video for my 4th and 5th grader, and can I say, I’m loving this so far! We are about 1/3 of the way through and I went ahead and purchased the next one (my 4th grader is going through it quickly, so we should be starting the new one in a month or 2).

      We haven’t started it yet as we still are finishing up our Masterbooks LA, but I’m excited for when we do start it :) Hope you enjoy it!

      @@CalmintheChaosHomeschool We are currently using Masterbooks, which my daughter loved for grades 3 and 4. Fifth grade started to weigh her down so we are considering a change. Was that your experience?

    • @CalmintheChaosHomeschool
      @CalmintheChaosHomeschool  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WAGSMadison I personally haven’t loved the Masterbooks LLFALE, and because I was still really involved with my boys with their work at this point, I was ready for a change. I didn’t enjoy the story, I liked the grammar, didn’t love having my boys read out of the story Bible because it took them a long time and the words are tiny, and the spelling was meh… They needed something simple, and I hadn’t found a good replacement, so we kept going. But I’m excited to change that next year.
