    I'm using these books for my children also. I am currently editing the free ILL epub book for my children to use. Something I noticed that you should keep in mind, is that these books were published a long time ago and as such things change. I had to revise all the United States abbreviations because they were no longer accurate or some were missing. I am sure the further I go into editing the book I will find more things I'll have to change. Hillside Education edited and republished these books in a larger format with these errors already corrected (it's just too expensive for me at this time). That's an option if you don't want to make corrections as you go.

    We use mcguffey's for our lessons.

    Loved this video!! We will be starting with PLL very soon and I’m so excited! What do you use for spelling? I’m always stuck on this. My grade 3er needs help despite being an avid reader.

      We use Targeting Spelling workbooks. They are inexpensive and easy to do. We have also used Literacy Planet online which was helpful for spelling too.

    Thank you for taking the time to share these books. May I ask where you got the notebooks you use to do the lessons?

      Thanks for watching! The notebooks I use are just from Kmart Australia. Most of my school supplies are from there actually!

    What would you recommend using after these books for grades 7 and up?

      I have not looked into high school curriculum just yet. My go to resource though (for Australian Charlotte Mason resources) is Homeschool Down Under. They have an article on putting together you own high school english lessons

      Is this American? Just checking for the spelling for copywork etc it confuses my kids and I have to pre read things all the time if it is and remind them it’s American spelling.

    I know this is an old video, but did you have all subjects in one notebook, or separate notebooks for each subject?

    • @Mariekalake
      @Mariekalake  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I am a bit of a minimalist so I just have one notebook and all of their subjects go in to there, I do not mind if all the subjects are mixed up in the book

    What grade level would the primary & also the Intermediate language lessons online be ?

    • @Mariekalake
      @Mariekalake  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The book states that the Primary one is for children in grades 2 and 3 and the Intermediate is for children in grades 4 through 6

    Could this be a stand alone language arts

    • @Mariekalake
      @Mariekalake  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could use this as a stand alone program for sure and add in anything that you feel your children need extra help with. I would add in reading, like the McGuffey readers to teach children how to read and maybe some extra spelling work.
      Here is a link to the McGuffey readers that are free online so that you can have a look at them
