This video will help you fix the known issue of the Bose 300 No power issue. This seems to be obvious one. Other issue may also persist but this will also help.

Hey, This worked for me too. Got a local computer guy to put a new diode (£2 from ebay) in which cost me £20 and all working again. So appreciated you put this up for us fellow Bose owners

I was hoping someone could assist me, there are two larger (2512 size) surface mount resistors on the bottom of the board when you first remove the cover. One is marked 7R5 the other is mounted with provision for another beside it. Could someone please tell me the value of the other resistor please?
Why are you messing around with other bits, the issue I have highlighted is the main know problem.
@@thespecialist786 Yeah, but mine blew off the board. It's a current sense resistor for the power filter so very low resistance value. It's frustratingly just out of focus on every video of this repair, and I cannot find a schematic. You can't read the value off your original video can you? Maybe without youtube compression it might be readable around the 1:20 mark.

My Bose Acoustimass 300 flashes pulsating white and orange. get no sound out ! What could it be ? defective circuit board ? thanks in advance for any hints
Flashing white and orange could mean its ready to pair or stuck via the software perhaps during a silient update Open the Bose Music App remove Sub from the App while the Sub is powered on. Also remove the sound bar. Depending on which sound bar you have sound touch or Smart. Because sound touch uses Sound Touch App and Smart uses Bose Music app. The status led should revert to flashing Orange or Flashing White. Then start to add the devices again and pair your Sub woofer. This should fix it. Please subscribe to my channel. Thank you for watching.

@@thespecialist786 and what would local repair cost including labour n diode ..also since I will be going for repair , can your suggest any other things which needs to be checked since the system is 5 plus years old ..and from last couple of days I was getting “bhook bhook “ kind of sound from the AM module ..is this due to diode only ?
I replaced mine still doesn’t work . If I plug in the base signal cable amber light comes on. Any idea what goes wrong? Cheers
Thank you for your comments, please explain what is a signal cable? Amber light means ready to pair. Open your Bose Music App. What sound bar are you using?
@@thespecialist786 replaces mine , when I plug the power back in still no light. Then I plug the 3.5mm cables into the bass port on the subwoofer,light is on. But no sound 😥

@@jimtan4790i have the exact same problem. Replaced the diode. But when I plug it to power, nothing happens. But when i plug in a 3.5mm jack cable in the ‘acoustimass in’ port before putting power on the subwoofer, the amber lights turns solid (but it doesnt pulse, so can’t connect it to the soundbar). Was really happy when i saw the amber led, but seems it still doesnt work. Anyone tips?
How did you remove it?

Thank you for your comments. 4 screws under the rubber feet and 2 screws under the center bose sticker peel it off with a hair dryer.

@@betlogenako7193white light means its connected. Amber light means its seaching for signal. How are you connecting via Music or Sound Touch app?
