    BEAST week was fun. I saw fun because my brother is in the Marines. Every time I thought "This sucks", I remembered my poor brother during the crucible. The Air Force has been kind to me so far, but I am part of the Coast Guard Aux, which is a unicorn in itself. So I am thankful every day that my current situation is a blessing. Semper Paratus and Fly, Fight, Win to those who are interested in the armed services here in the United States of America.

    I really appreciate him putting into perspective why things are done in bootcamp. A lot of it can seem a bit pointless in the moment but if you take a wide look at why its done it makes a lot more sense

    Damn, military brat current Air Force, looking into the Coast Guard. This video was DEFINITELY made for me 🤘
    Edit: you'd be happy to know BEAST week wasn't taken away from AF basic, in fact it's the culminating week of training now with a challenge at the end called "the villiage"

      Chris Gaffney only enlisted are Petty Officers. Commissioned officers are Sir and Ma’am; in the CG if you called a PO Sir or Ma’am OR called a commissioned officer “Petty Officer” you’d get your @$$ lit up faster than the 4th of July.

    If you join the Air Force reserve and choose to do more work volunteering and potentially going on a deployment, are you still likely to be frowned upon by not doing the college thing even if you in the reserves? That was a shocker to me how they will tend to push that on you if you're not doing it being active. It definitely made me lean more towards the coast guard.

    How does housing work with the coast guard after boot camp, more specifically living on base or barracks?

    • @taylorbusche6415
      @taylorbusche6415 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Artsy Pictures it depends on where you are stationed you could get BAS (which is a housing allowance), live on a cutter or get government leased housing.

    Is it possible to stay at your first station forever or do you have to move to another state within three years?

    • @shaojieshi47
      @shaojieshi47 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You cannot stay in the station forever ,normally around 3-year-old 4 years you will get a pick list it might have units in the same state but it really depends but normally it will have a couple in the same state. U will transfer every 3 or 4 years.
