    Air force push you to to study and excel. I’ve been looking for that. Thanks! I’ll go Air Force.

    First of all I dont judge Mr Kyle Miller for his decision on switching from branch, takes a lot of guts to follow your heart and passion. Thank you guys so much for this important info. Ive been months searching and trying to decide wich branch to join. I dream of becoming a Dr. in medicine one day and now I know I should join the AF thanks to you guys.
    My indecision was because I admire what CG rescue swimers do and was desiring to do that with the adventure. But now knowing that the AF benefits helps making that dream to realization is that now I can make a clear decision. Thanks!!!

      I take no offense in your decision. Actually I am very happy I could make your choice easier. My goal in this interview was to ensure that individuals, such as yourself, make an informed decision and realize the differences in the branches. I am honored you joined the service you wanted to join. Thank you for letting me know that I was able to help.

    Thank you so much for this series. It was very helpful as I am torn between the two branches. I will be going USCG!

    I love this type of interviews videos! I'll like to know more about the difference between being single or married in the coast guard and the benefits and everything related to that

    Great series my man . If possible can you do more vidoes like these in the future .Also, do you know anybody that has gone through the DEPOT training by any chance . I've been trying to find vidoes of people that have gone though the program, and what their experience was like , but fail short of finding any . Again dude , great vidoes , keep up the great work 👍

    Im split between coast guard and AF. I was kinda set on AF but after this video I'm leaning towards coast guard. My biggest goal is to start an online business and i want the security and benefits of the military for security if 💩 hits the fan. Also, i want more discipline and better work ethic and i believe any branch can help me in that regard. I need some breathing room to start a business and i believe the CG is better in that regard.

      @reesanator1c6 Thank you! Also, would you agree that CG is better for starting a business?

    I love what you guys are doing. Thanks! Here are some questions I have: which is easier to get a eyesight waiver? Which branch is easier to go special operation forces - eg: pj for AF or MSRT for CG. Which branch is better for free time? Which branch is better to have entrepreneurial ventures

      @@militaryjourneymen Thanks a lot man! I watch all your content! If I do end up going CG i'll gladly buy online resources you offer. BTW, PLEASE make a video about entrepreneurship as a coastie, if you have time

    Does an active duty coast guard have the same/identical military benefits as an active duty enlisted in one of the four major branches? @military Journeymen

    • @reesanator1c6
      @reesanator1c6 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, with few exceptions. Some benefits that are regulated for the specific branches are not authorized for different/other branches. For the most part the major benefits are available to Coast Guard members.

    would it be possible if you can continue on this specific series and maybe talk about how to switch from branch to branch? i'm currently active duty AF and looking into switching to active duty CG

      The best way to start this process is to speak to a recruiter and your immediate supervisor. This will get you the most accurate documentation and information on the process. I can tell you that for me I had to leave with permission from the AFSC manager and receive a DD-214 with reenlistment code that stated I left early. I needed to get a waiver to join the Coast Guard due to this reenlistment code.

      Why do you want to switch from the AF? The AF seems to have such great benefits

    • @reesanator1c6
      @reesanator1c6 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Joe-of1ob Honestly, benefits are a great bonus for serving in the military. However, I wanted to be happy in my job and that was the bigger factor in my decision. Another factor for me was being able to move from place to place. I had a specific job in the Air Force that did not move as often. Benefits are not everything, though I will agree they are a huge factor in deciding what branch to join.

    I definitely am looking into both but mostly looking for a job in the military that I know will help me in the civilian world and could be transferable. I do want to look into electrical, plumbing, HVAC, trucking, and even aircraft maintenance jobs that all pay well after the service. So what branch would set you up more prior to the jobs you get?

    • @anthonymagana9237
      @anthonymagana9237 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a job in the airforce that does alot of that I think it's literally called plumbing, refrigeration, and a/c

    How does living compare to Air Force? I know Coast Guard has stations but do those stations contain gyms, chow halls, what do the amenities look like in comparison.

    I'm concerned about not being able to serve in the CG because I had asthma when I was younger, but have needed an inhaler more recently. How does the waiver work?

    What if you were Active Duty AF enlisted but want to do Active Duty CG Officer? How would that process work?

    • @reesanator1c6
      @reesanator1c6 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a possible function. As I have stated to others, speak with your supervisor and a Coast Guard recruiter to find out the necessary documentation and process needed to move forward with what you want to do.

    Which branch offered the quickest way to get rank?

    • @reesanator1c6
      @reesanator1c6 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is very complicated to answer as it varies from person to person and rate to rate. For myself, I feel that I ranked up faster in the Coast Guard.

    • @reesanator1c6
      @reesanator1c6 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL, I'm sorry. There really is no easy answer to this. Some many things are taken into account when trying to take leave. I wish I could tell you that one was easier than the other. For example, it was completely easier to take leave when I was working at a land unit than it is now that I am on a Cutter.
