was my favorite line in any Marvel media ever
Because it's totally psycho? Lol
@@kevthepoet well it was Loki saying it
@@bearimo2867 good point
layering jacksons and hiddlestons laughing over one another was a nice touch
Is it just me or does the "we talk movies, and comics and TV shows" get a bit faster every week?
Love this episode, not 100% Hank Pym started murdering purely out of vengeance he probably started working super hard on that new Antman/YellowJacket suit to make sure nothing like what happened to his daughter happened again and then the bonus 2 years of exposure to the Pym particle made him lose his mind like he says in Antman 1. This is probably something most people saw straight away but I didn't so the episode hit different after I "realised" that
0:19 - Come on, Mason, don't remind me... I binged the season of Loki and didn't get one "Waow..." from Owen Wilson. The closest I got was a "What? Haow?"
To be honest I don't even watch comic book movies, I just like hearing y'all make them funny words
This was the best ep so far: the cha-cha episode was fun but stuff was happening WAY too fast
I still find it funny/ironic
Episode 2 was very fun and hopefully until the dark ending
Episode 3 is very dark and grim, but did have a hopeful ending
a hopeful ending with new dictator loki
@@millwall0178 TVA: (busts in) not today, satan!

"BIG BOYYY SPOILER!"

Thor: "Moljnor!"
*(literally seconds later)*
Thor: AAAAAAAGGH!
Sooooo, the big question at the end of this episode: what's Odin going to do when he wakes up from his Odinsleep? Is he going to go down to Midgard, grab Loki by the scruff of his neck and drag him back to Asgard? Or is he going to go all ape-crap on the planet in revenge for the death of his son?
He’d try and get his ass beat by Brie Larson
@@garenthal9638 I don't think you realize how powerful Odin is...

I loved that CM Punk bit, props to the editor
That really got me lol
Top notch work, the conversation between the visuals and audio was superb :)
Ahh cheers BH!
When Widow said "hope" I figured she meant hope van dyne
But I didn't make the connection and the hank twist surprised me
I thought she said "Hulk" until Nick replayed the message XD
I saw the file photo of Janet Van Dyne and thought she meant Hope was the killer.
@@cm275 yeah I also saw the pic I first thought its janet that was behind the killing cause she is still alive
I love how parts of the episode felt like a remake of The Incredible Hulk with Mark Ruffalo
It was really good that I actually thought it was gonna be the Winter Soldier like “What if he were used on the Avengers?”
And the reveal was a real punch to the gut cause he was the last person I’d expect
Halfway through, especially with the Hulk inflating, I was sure sure it was an Ant-Man character, just not sure who? Pym, Hope or even Cross?
@@jerrymathewninan6739 i mean they also talk about nano technology which is the first thing that sorts gave it away
16:28 that transition was tight.
Love the mention of the Spanish voice actors credit which we all awkwardly rewinded to in search for a post credit gem
Love the random CM Punk clip! I've been rewatching his debut each day since Friday. Didn't expect to see it here, and now I'm going to back and watch it for the 100th time!!
I reckon that The Watcher will interfere by saving someone from the Marvel Zombies universe
Did anyone else think black widow was saying “it’s hulk it’s all hulk” on the voicemail cuz that’s what I thought and I was really confused
I thought I was the only one, I was confused too
The editing on these are great! Love the Clark Gregg or Gregg Clark in the credits
Aha cheers for catching!!
Kind of expected Steve Rogers to rock up in the Captain Marvel suit at the end.
This one was okay, it's the best of the first three. I like the stand alone story instead of just changing the person and then keeping the story pretty similar.
100% agree about the time thing, 15-20 minute longer episodes would really help flesh out the story. Also can't wait for next week when we will finally see the legendary Corn Of Coblin!
That would've been hilarious if characters that were never in MCU got to make the first appearance in what if.
"The other can throw a frisbee".
And hold the now-always-available Mjolnir. So...
So...it's time turn Mjolnir into a frisbee? j/k:P
Cap wasn't entirely worthy around Age of Ultron tho, so anything before hat he also wouldn't be. Which also makes me wonder at what point in Civil War/Infinity War did the hammer officially deem him worthy
@@jakewhite5767 Didn't someone say it was canon that he didn't pick it up at the party on purpose?
@@Jetsiuc Yeah the Russos
But they gave the hammer back to Loki (Its his brothers last effects) so it would be hard for steve to get to it
Very enjoyable episode, I went through 2 candidates for who the assassins was before I reached the yellow jacket reveal, i thought it was The winter soldier first then during black widows death I thought it could be ghost
I also really liked the fact Hank was yellow jacket
The editing is so on point
Mike! Thanks mate 🤙🤙
The episode was absolutely incredible I cannot believe we finally saw Corn of Coblin and all his murderous deeds!
the editing in this vid is really top tier
Kudos to the editor managing to find two incredibly relevant scenes in the same movie about the nonsense screenrant song lol. 15:30
Dropping in CM Punk’s return to pro wrestling from last week just made my night. I appreciate bigtime when my pro wrestling fandom gets brought over into my other fandoms.
CM Punk was the last thing I was expecting to see in the video HOLY FUCK
When Fury was doing all his spinny flips, I assumed it was Loki disguising himself.
Congrats
I thought Fury was the Sorcerer Supreme of this timeline since he was on the list of potential Avengers.
I thought maybe Fury had taken the super soldier serum. He was even doing the same spinny flips that Blonski was doing in the Incredible Hulk movie
Can't believe Samuel L Jackson was able to convince Marvel to let Fury a purple light saber!
The "Clark Gregg or Gregg Clark" edit in the credits is phenomenal. As usual Collings, knocks it out of the park in ways I could never predict.
Why is the editing in the 1st minute of this so damn good?!
Daaamn, cheers D'Andre!!
12:18 WELL that is a face I was not expecting to see on this episode here. Hello there mr CM Punk Sir, nice to have you back :)
I wonder if the Yellow Jacket helmet found in Episode 5 of Loki is actually from this universe
Maybe, but I assumed that all of these what if episodes take place after Sylvie created the multiverse.
I think that has to be from a different universe since here Hank still uses the original ant man helmet design for Yellowjacket while in that episode the giant helmet has the look from the ant man movie. I suppose that comes from a universe where Darren Cross experimented on giant man tech
@@gromusodus1949 well the multiverse already existed way before Sylvie she just made things worse. Remember Kang talked about himself from different universes. And in Endgame, Antman, and Dr.Strange, they mention a different universe. This is honestly seems more like a fun anthology series same way comics make non cannon stories all the time
@@ha-kh7ef If I recall correctly Kang had destroyed the multiverse and just created one timeline. And I think Antman and Dr. Strange were talking about either the Quantum Realm or potential timelines.
@@gromusodus1949 sylvie opened a specific universe to the other ones. the multiverse still existed but kang took one universe and closed it off, not letting it branch and not letting it breached.
5:03 - That's actually a REALLY good assessment. Obviously when I was watching it, I recognized Mark Ruffalo's voice, but didn't think his look quite matched, but that Norton/Ruffalo hybrid totally lines up.
I'm glad we never got a smart Hulk in Endgame with Edward Norton's face
Why did you make me imagine that
@@PirateCat822 5:24
@@et3an861 yarrghhh my eyes,it burns
Ngl these are getting better with every episode and I expect them to get crazier as it builds up to a crazy multiverse thing at the end
Why didn't Loki turn blue when he used the Casket of Ancient Winters?
After watching these episodes, I think about what variants are introduced because they may have a bigger part. Episode 1: captain Britain and maybe shuma gorath. 2: T’challa Star Lord and potential evil peter quill. For 3 all I came up with was evil hank pym.
I liked that the two previous episodes had clear moments where that reality emerged. This one was murkier - What if Hope became and agent of SHIELD? That has to happen to set off these events. But they chose the murder mystery as the headline....
to be fair, calling an episode “What If… Hope Van Dyne joined SHIELD?” and then presenting it as a murder mystery without Hope would kind of kill the mystery
@@nsheikh17 totally agree with you and I understand why it was titled as such. I just like to know the inciting event that created a branch reality as explained in Loki.
That transition from feigie to thanos is a work of art
The Watcher's always given me a creep vibe lol, like Jerry Smith's voyer dad 🤣
I love it, I came to the exact same conclusions about the timeline as they did as I was watching. Feels good, man. Keep crackin' on.
I figured he was called Star-Lord because T'Challa was a noble but in space, so, you know, he's like a Star Lord.
I figured he would've told people he was a prince at some point, and they started calling him that as a joke. "oh but of course Prince T'Challa, Lord of the Stars"
By far the best What If & arguably one of Marvel's best works in years! Diverges in an interesting, yet believable way & ties into so much of the lore established over the past decade+ of movies. Especially glad to see a return of Loki as an actual "Avengers-level" threat, the callback to Hulk, & the lore of the Wasp suit not having the proper helmet to prevent the wearer from going insane!
I really appreciated that they tackled Fury's Big Week. Seriously, that Iron Man 2, Hulk and Thor happens in the same week is barely acknowledge anywhere, even in the films themselves.
You're right about barely acknowledged. I mean, it's there from IM2 showing scenes from TIH at the end and the post credit showing Thor's hammer. However, they were blink and you miss it moments, kind of like the references to Atlantis and Wakanda.
This was my favorite of the three episodes so far. It felt the most like a "What If...?" comic book.
Best one so far. Theyre getting better and better
"Sam Jackson is a good VA."
Yeah man, Afro Samurai and Incredibles will do that to an actor.
I dunno if it's the nostalgia, but it's my favorite so far
When Nick did a flip over Hank, I thought it was just a Skrull, not Loki
Thor takes place the day after iron man 2 story ends. In the middle of iron man 2 Coulsen says he has a situation in new Mexico he needs to deal with, then at the end of the movie it shows him arriving on scene.
this was a great ep. i like how it unironically took cues from DC's Identity Crisis story arc
Man, the Watcher stepping in always makes my mind go to galactus.
one thing i liked about this episode was how Pym's yellow jacket suit is closer to the comics instead of what was shown in live action
Well... the one in Live Action is Darren Cross (Yellowjacket), not Hank Pym (Yellowjacket).
@@cybrid37 i know but i prefer the hank pym storyline in the comics and the suit which is closer to the one in the episode
I liked the MCU adaptation of Hank Pym's comic Yellowjacket suit
13:30 is the point at which this video goes off the rails, and I love it!
